Kratochvíla, Lukáš ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Kopečný, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is about systems for Li-ion batteries. The system consists of measuring and charging. The main part of system is 3 to 5-Series Cell Li-Ion and Li-Phosphate Battery Monitor chip BQ76920. The result of this thesis is printed circuit board (PCB) with BQ76920 and a box contain PCB and battery pack. The system has been tested and measured and evaluated in this thesis.
Stability of aprotic electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries
Krištofík, František ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The Master thesis describe basic electrochemical processes in lithium-ion batteries and characteristic organic polar solvents for these articles. It focuses primarily on the aprotic liquid electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries and the subsequent use of gas chromatography to analyze the collected gas sample from the test article. For this experiment is, in this Master thesis, designed and described experimental arrangement in the form of a glass cell, which allows collection from the space above the working electrode. Finally, the work evaluates the effect of electrode potential on the stability of electrolytes in strongly positive potentials.
Study of properties of electrode materials for advanced lithium ion systems
Juránek, Dominik ; Tichý, Jiří (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is involved in study high voltage material for positive electrode LiNi0,5Mn1,5O4. The first part of thesis is involved in theory around batteries and then Li-ion batterie, where there are described individual materials for positive electrodes. In the second part of theses is examined the material itself, which is doped by chrome, copper and molybdenum.
Evaluation Of Temperature Influence on Lithium-ion Battery Properties
Zachová, Zuzana ; Libich, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with monitoring of the influence of temperature on the properties of lithium-ion batteries, especially on the safety and capacity of selected batteries. Chapters 1 and 2 contain a literature review on the subject, describing electrochemical energy sources, especially secondary accumulators, mainly lithium-ion cells. Furthermore, the safety and degradation processes of lithium-ion batteries are discussed and the third chapter describes the design of experiments, realization and outputs of these experiments.
Hybrid drives of city buses
Hodas, David ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with an integration of hybrid buses in a public transport. It evaluates their environmental impact and possibilities of an application in traffic. Types of hybrid drives, system components and their interaction could be found here. It is focused on current status and chances of future development. In the final part there are economical aspects connected with bus transport.
Accumulation of electricity for a source with unstable production
Petrenec, Jan ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with possibilities of accumulation of electricity generated by renewable sources with unstable production. Several goals were set by an assignment of this thesis. Within a research, current trends of the accumulation are presented in detail on examples of specific representatives with their technical parameters and economic possibilities. Further, an unstable source of electricity – the wind farm of three power plants Multibrid 5000 with all its parameters and operational details is defined for purposes of individual designs of accumulation systems. Firstly, the detailed design of an advanced compressed air energy storage (A-CAES) is realized. It includes a thermodynamic calculation of chosen components, their partial technical solutions, a financial evaluation of investment and a determination of theoretical payback period. Furthermore, the design for accumulators Tesla Powerpack is realized. It contains a calculation of individual system parameters, a financial evaluation of investment and a determination of theoretical payback period. Last part of the thesis is dedicated to a comparison and an evaluation of the achieved results of both realized methods of the electricity accumulation. In the end, A-CAES is chosen as more perspective variation.
Electricity accumulation
Hanus, Vlastimil ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Vlastimil Hanus:Electricity accumulation.Bachalor's work of bachalor's studies of 3th year. School year 2007/2008,educational group 3P/12.FSI VUT in Brno, institute of energy, department of energy and proces equipment, November 2007. This project, which has been elaborated in frame of bachelor’s studies department of energy and proces equipment is submitting the design of electricity accumulation. Contains of this work is electricity accumulation for small a medium facilitis, closer to specify each of batteryes and find design of accumulation electricity from fotovoltaic system.
The beginnings and development of electric vehicles
Doležel, Radek ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on creating a research study on the creation and development of electric vehicles. The first part describes the electric car and its advantages and disadvantages. Following is a description of the first ever electric vehicle and its main developmental stages. This section will also documented the use of technical solutions stages. The conclusion is based on data collected and described their own estimates of the future development of electric vehicles.
Negative Electrode for Sodium-ion batteries
Šimek, Antonín ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Libich, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis contains general introduction to the issue of batteries, their basic principles and distribution. It is mainly focused on the research of electrode materials for negative electrodes of sodium-ion batteries, which do not use lithium for their function. Thesis is also focused on lithium-ion batteries, because their development is closely linked to sodium-ion batteries. The practical part mainly contains the synthesis and characteristics of sodium metatitanate, which is used as active material in negative electrode mass.
Technologies for electricity storage
Novák, Adam ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This project deals with description of individual ways of electric energy accumulation. Accumulation itself becomes an essential part of the electricity grid due to rising electricity fluctuations from renewable sources and uneven consumption from users. For each technology, the principle of functioning and the advantages or disadvantages are explained. Based on this informations, it is specified suitable application. At the end, the state-of-the-art technology and modern equipment for storing electricity are presented.
