Silver legacy of EURO 1996 during the following European Football Championships

The bachelor's thesis "Silver legacy of EURO 1996 during the following European Football Championships" deals with informing how selected Czech dailies reported on the 1996 European Football Championship during the following five European football championships. In selected tournaments, the text follows the frequency, and which iconic moments and personalities were most referred to in connection with the 1996 European Championship. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical first describes the relationship between sport and the media, which is important for the correct understand of the bachelor's thesis. Further, the introductory part deals with aspects of how sports success is displayed, which is in fact the subject of research in the bachelor's thesis. In the next phase, he describes the history of European football championships. This context is also suitable for understanding a successful sporting event in a broader context. The second part of the thesis describes the definition of research and the methods used, then the introduction of the researched periodicals and the coding book itself with selected analytical variables. The media image of "silver" European Football Championship 1996 in Czech press

Bachelor's thesis Media image "silvery" European Football Championship 1996 in the Czech republic period press is showed, how period press media is written about the European Championship 1996, and anyway proceeding was increased area which single of the periodical the whole competition, The Czech National Team and mainly profess it's a journey of the competition. The goal of thesis is found out with using statistics how the interest increased the press upon the competition. The most indicator were numbers of the published articles and pictures in the reporting period. That is determined from 2. May 1996 to 9. June 1996. In addition to these quantitative indicators, the work uses a qualitative analysis to get acquainted with the content of published articles. For analysis were chosen the three domestic aged periodicals in these bachelor's thesis. Two ordinary titles represent the dailies Mladá fronta Dnes and Právo. The daily Sport is third which was in the reporting period only clearly sportingly focused periodic. The last chapter is professed reality that the footballers may become national celebrity based on success.

Comparison of different types of commercial lithium-ion batteries

The master's thesis is devoted to the comparison of different types of lithium-ion batteries. Primarily, an introduction to electrochemical power sources and their division is described. Furthermore, the thesis deals only with lithium-ion batteries. In the theoretical part, the chapters discuss the history, the principle of operation and a detailed description of the main battery parts, including used materials. A comparison of commercially available lithium-ion cells with each other as well as with other types of batteries is also included in the theoretical part. The practical part deals with the cyclinf of lithium-ion cells and subsequent evaluation of the effect of temperature on the capacitance and current characteristics of these lithium-ion batteries.

Bakalářská práce Mediální obraz hokejového úspěchu na olympijských hrách v Naganu 1998 v českém dobovém tisku popisuje, jak o největším českém hokejovém úspěchu v dějinách psala tuzemská tištěná média. Pro tuto práci byly porovnávány články z deníku Právo, Mladé fronty Dnes a deníku Sport. Olympiádu chci představit z hlediska dobového tisku, jak o této velmi sledované sportovní akci referovala vybraná jednotlivá média. Na základě analýzy prezentace hokejového turnaje v rámci zimních olympijských her v Naganu má práce za cíl ukázat, jakým způsobem se postupem českého mužstva v turnaji vyvíjel prostor pro články o národním hokejovém týmu a jakým způsobem se o něm psalo. Práce je zaměřena na analýzu počtu publikovaných článků a fotografií ve vymezeném časovém období. To je určeno od začátku roku 1998 do 11. března 1998. V další části práce se ta samá analýza jednotlivých vydaných článků aplikuje v období desetiletého (2008) a dvacetiletého (2018) výročí. Solar Energy Applications in Houses

This thesis is focused on photovoltaics and photothermics. Their source is solar radiation that belongs to the category of renewable sources. At present, great emphasis is placed on ecology and economics. For this reason, renewable sources are coming to the foreground. In the first part of the bachelor thesis, types of photovoltaic cells, technology and their efficiency are presented. Furthermore, the principle and construction of photovoltaic and photothermal systems are described. The second part describes the design of the energy solution of a family house using solar energy.

In this thesis, I try to find a definition of a news topic to make topic detec- tion implementable and its quality measurable. I describe various methods - a "simple" words counting, optionally with stopwords. I also describe TF-IDF and the text categorization problem. I touch the subject of text clustering. Then I briefly describe approaches called latent semantic indexing and la- tent Dirichlet allocation. The thesis includes my experiments with "simple" words counting, TF-IDF and text categorization on database of articles from several online news websites; I also describe the creation of this database. Precision and recall are used as a metric to text categorization approach. 1

Title: Electronic reading-room Author: Peter Korcsok Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor: RNDr. Tomáš Holan, Ph.D. Abstract: We have created an Internet application that allows registered users to share information about scientific articles. Data necessary for standard bibli- ographic record are stored for each article; any files with the text of the article in PDF or PostScript format are saved directly on the server. Articles can be sorted into categories arranged in a treelike structure. Users may rate the artic- les using marks and commentaries and discuss them. The application provides a comfortable search in stored articles; user is able to save the search parameters for future use. Addition of new article can be done using a web form or by sending an e-mail message containing all necessary data in the correct format to address of the application. Some users are selected as administrators who manage ac- counts, categories and other application settings. The work is designed in PHP and uses MySQL database. Keywords: articles, web, database
