Performance Measurement of Selected Drools Tools
Široký, Petr ; Fiedor, Jan (referee) ; Letko, Zdeněk (advisor)
Performance testing is often overlooked. This thesis describes the performance testing of the Drools Expert and Drools Fusion tools. Drools is a Business Logic Integration Platform. Expert and Fusion are parts of this platform, which provide rule based expert system and event processing capabilities respectively. Tests are designed and implemented with main focus on finding performance regression between different versions of Expert and Fusion tools. Results for two versions of these tools are discussed at the end of the thesis.

Analysis of factors influencing relative market stock valuation
Hanzl, Tobiáš ; Vrabec, Michal (advisor) ; Řezanková, Hana (referee)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyze P/S ratio using Gordon dividend discount model and also to prove hypothesis that assumes existing influence of margin, dividend payout ratio, future dividend growth and discount rate on P/S ratio value. The goal is also to find other factors that can influence relative market stock valuation. Multidimensional regression analysis and also factor analysis were used in order to get a proper knowledge of the factors. There are 781 stocks used in this work. This thesis proves influence of the mentioned variables and also other variables were found that help achieve deeper understanding of examined variable. Market valuation is a very complex matter and is influenced by numerous factors.

Ethnic groups in the former Soviet Union space
Tkáčová, Kateřina ; Plechanovová, Běla (advisor) ; Střítecký, Vít (referee)
The topic of this diploma thesis is ethnic groups in the space of the former Soviet Union in the time period 1994-2006 and their involvement in ethnic conflicts. The aim of this thesis is to identify key parameters driving these ethnic groups towards armed conflict as a response to their needs, interests and living conditions. Key assumptions of this thesis are derived from qauntitative as well as qualitative studies. Important characteristics of ethnic groups are also included in the analysis of possible causes of ethnic conflicts. The theoretical discussion shows three main factors which can make ethnic groups more prone to conflict: permanent exclusion, strong identity and lastly dissimilarity of an ethnic group. Influence of these factors is tested using descriptive statistics, odds ratio, correlation and logistic regression. Statistical results shows that strong identity as well as discrimination of ethnic groups increase the probability of ethnic conflicts.

Late matherhood from demographic point of view (example of The Czech and Slovak Republic)
Vobořilová, Michaela ; Fialová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Bartoňová, Dagmar (referee)
Late Motherhood from Demographic Point of View (Example of the Czech and Slovak Republic) Abstract The thesis thematically refers the issue of late motherhood in the Czech and Slovak Republics from the twenties of the twentieth century to the present from a demographic point of view. It describes the changes that have occurred during the observed years as to fertility of women aged over 35, using selected demographic indicators. In the second part the focus lies on the analysis of selected demographic factors using binary logistic regression. In the very end, the form of late motherhood is discussed. According to the results of the analysis are determined three different types of late motherhood. Keywords: late motherhood, late maternity, fertility, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, logistic regression

Assessment of potentially toxic element contents in forest soils of selected regions with differing level of pollution
Džermanská, Lenka ; Borůvka, Luboš (advisor) ; Přemysl, Přemysl (referee)
The work is focused for the use of the monitoring of the content of RP realized ÚKZÚZ in forest soils Novohradské Mountains and the Beskydy mountain, statistical assessment of the level of RP content in soils and their spatial distribution and evaluation of the influence of factors, statistical comparison between the different areas of content, different types of vegetation, soil horizons (analysis of variance, t-test). They assessed the relationship between the content of individual RP and RP between content and soil properties (correlation and regression analysis). The work also contains maps of the spatial distribution of content RP in forest soils of the area.

Human resources, the structure of their use in selected sectors
Hospodkova, Petra ; Severová, Lucie (advisor)
The main target of dissertation is to prepare recommendations and plan of investments for education in healthcare for paramedical professions. In the investigation, the emphasis will be on identifying critical points, ie. the determination of expertise for which the apparent insufficient supply of jobs on the labor market and discussions reasons. Another aim is to determine trends in education for paramedical positions in neighboring countries through systematic review. Other methods are survey, mathematical-statistical models (correlation, regression), CEA, CUA, etc.

Analysis of the Financial Situation of Households
Chytka, Tomáš ; Bína, Vladislav (advisor) ; Krejčová, Iva (referee)
The aim of the thesis is analysis of financial situation of households in Czech Republic. The main goal of the thesis is primarily analysis of differences in financial situation of households bellow and above the poverty threshold. The thesis is also focused on living standarts of households bellow the poverty threshold. This task is performed by using models of logistic regression for deeper analysis of situation of the Czech households.

Portfolio diversification on P2P loan markets
Polák, Petr ; Skuhrovec, Jiří (advisor) ; Džmuráňová, Hana (referee)
This thesis presents ways how investors can construct optimal portfolios on on-line peer-to-peer lending platforms. Thesis uses standard portfolio theory and unique dataset from Lending Club platform of over 886 thousand loans issued since 2008 till the end of 2015. Firstly, this thesis shows that there is a non- zero covariance between loans from different credit grades and it is necessary to include it in portfolio management optimization. Secondly, the thesis with the help of a logistic regression identifies loan default determinants. Using the default predictions, the portfolio performance can be improved significantly. Thirdly, the thesis simulates diversification benefits stemming from investing into multiple loans. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Oral health of preschool children and its relationship to demographic-social family background and parental attitudes and behaviour regarding caries prevention in children
Lenčová, Erika ; Broukal, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Nováková, Květoslava (referee) ; Markovská, Neda (referee)
1 SUMMARY The thesis is based on three cross-sectional studies. The first study analyzed long-term trends in caries experience of Czech 5yr olds. The data originated from 6 studies on caries experience of 5yr olds performed over the years 1994-2009. During this period, a significant increasing trend in dmft=0 was observed in Czech 5yr olds, the trends of mean dmft per child and mean d per child were not significant. The aim of the second study was to characterize family attitudinal and behavioural factors related to dental decay prevention. It was a questionnaire survey in parents of preschool children. The data was analyzed by factor analysis enabling to find latent associations among large number of variables with similar variability and group them into a smaller set of newly formed factors. The results showed that the parents have sufficient knowledge on the main risk factors for dental caries, however, in the caries prevention they mainly rely on dentists, they consider it normal to give sweets to children daily and they underestimate the seriousness of premature loss of primary tooth. The third study used logistic regression to analyze the relationship of parental locus of health control (LoC) and the risk of dental caries in primary dentition of their preschool children. It was observed that children...

Adolescents substance use : identifying factors influencing alcohol consumption among high school students in the Czech Republic
Mandelíková, Martina ; Strecker, Ondřej (referee) ; Pertold, Filip (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on indicating the factors, which influence the participation in adolescent substance use. Possibly important factors are identified based on the previous researches dealing with the same topic. The effect of these factors is then tested with the empirical model. This thesis deals with a dataset from the European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs done at the Czech high schools among freshmen and juniors. Since the results in dependence on sex and class year are expected to be different, the regression is run separately. The most significant factors are for all cases: the smoking experience, the age of the first intoxication, and the share of friends who already consume alcohol.
