Zirconia-based and Chiral Stationary Phases in Pharmaceutical Analysis
Kučera, Radim ; Sochor, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Blešová, Marie (referee) ; Pospíšilová, Marie (referee)
Disertační práce Summary High performance liquid chromatography achieved during its existence enormous boom. Modern, PC controlled and user-friendly chromatographic devices allow performing a number of tens analyses on one apparatus daily. There is possible to analyse wide spectrum of compounds from non-polar to polar and from low molecular to high molecular analytes. Appropriate choice of chromatographic column, mobile phase and detection technique makes the analysis of complicated mixtures possible and allow obtaining both qualitative and quantitative information. HPLC is due to these characteristics utilized not only in the field of pharmacy but also in other areas e.g. biology, medicine, industry, environment monitoring and quality control of various products. Separation column is the most important part of the chromatographic system. The availability of stable, high performance chromatographic phases is the essential requirement for the development of a rugged and reproducible method. Nowadays, most HPLC separations have been done in the reversed-phase mode on the silica-based columns. This phenomenon is due to many positive properties of silica - mechanical strength, well mastered manufacture of silica particles, easy modification of silica surface, compatibility with water rich mobile phases etc. The...

Marketing Communications of Konrad Brewery for 2013
Poláček, Thomas ; Postler, Milan (advisor) ; Průša, Přemysl (referee)
Diploma thesis was divided into seven main sections. In the first of them I will lead the reader through the theory to the problems of marketing itself, explain its nature, history, define marketing mix, the communication process as a basis for commercial and other marketing communications The second chapter will mapping the situation of Konrad brewery. First I will inform about the subject matter, then I will go to through the history and present of the brewery, then I will do the SWOT analysis, define 4P companies, divide customer segments and competitors. The third part will be devoted purely to the beer market in the Czech Republic. Describing its situation, finding trends and defining patterns. The fourth chapter will include a summary of current activities Konrad Brewery in 2012, which will describe the initial situation in commercial communications and other marketing communications. In the fifth section I will formulate marketing activities of Konrad brewery in 2013, so this will be a recommendations in the context of marketing communications. In the sixth chapter I will evaluate the effects of the current brewery Konrad in marketing communications in the current situation. Last, the seventh chapter, will be devoted to my recommendations for the future, which the brewery Konrad may or may not follow.

Study of biological activity of isolated alkaloids from Corydalis cava (Fumariaceae)
Chlebek, Jakub ; Opletal, Lubomír (advisor) ; Drašar, Pavel (referee) ; Kuča, Kamil (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Botany and Ecology Candidate: Mgr. Jakub Chlebek Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Lubomír Opletal, CSc. Title of Doctoral Thesis: Study of biological activity of isolated alkaloids from Corydalis cava (Fumariaceae). Key words: Corydalis cava, isoquinoline alkaloids, DPPH, AChE, BuChE, BACE1, IMER. Tubers of Corydalis cava were selected on the basis of bio-guided spectrophotometric Ellman's method as a source of isoquinoline alkaloids for study of their selected biological activities. The tubers of Corydalis cava were extracted with ethanol and the mixture of summary tertiary alkaloids (fraction A) was fractionated in silica gel chromatography column using step gradient elution with hexane, chloroform and ethanol. Repeated column chromatography, preparative TLC and crystallization led to the isolation of fifteen isoquinoline alkaloids. The chemical structures of isolated compounds were determined on the basis of spectroscopic techniques and by comparison with literature data. Isolated alkaloids were tested on ability to inhibit AChE, serum BuChE (IC50), BACE1 and for its free-radical scavenging activity (EC50). The cholinesterase inhibitory activity was determined in vitro by modified spectrophotometric Ellman's...

Implementing Edge Clustering for Graphs
Klimčíková, Iveta ; Charvát, Lukáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The objective of the thesis is to explore graph layout and edge clustering to improve graph visibility and the overall edge crossings. A summary of tools focusing on improving of graph visualisation is given. The thesis describes in more details a method of geometry--based edge clustering. Further, the method is implemented in a C++ library. The library itself can handle both simple and more complex graphs with a lot of vertices and edges.

Accounting of Foundations and Endowment Funds
Spolková, Veronika ; Hajdíková, Taťána (advisor) ; Povolná, Martina (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with accounting in terms of foundations and endowment funds in the Czech Republic both from the accounting and legal point of view. The thesis then provides a look at the course of accounting as it focuses on the accounting cases in foundations and endowment funds. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to define foundations and examine their purpose. Subsequent chapters will then handle accounting of non-profit organizations, their tax liability and corporate tax optimization. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to specific examples of accounting and accounting managment of a fictional foundation. In the fictional foundation will be performed a calculation of corporate tax with corporate tax optimization. The goal of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive summary of accounting and tax regulations of foundations and endowment funds with demonstrative examples.

Analýza finančních toků spojených se zdravotnictvím a spokojenost pacientů se zdravotní péčí poskytovanou v soukromě vlastněných nemocnicích v České republice
Supová, Aneta ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (advisor)
This Master Thesis focuses on the structure of health related financial flows and patient satisfaction with privately owned hospitals in the Czech Republic. The main aim was to provide a general overview of health care system in the Czech Republic, to describe how the health care system is financed, and to find out if patients hospitalized in privately owned hospitals are more satisfied with the care provided in this type of hospitals. Having analyzed the major statistical reports from the WHO, EU, and the Institution of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic, the theoretical part provided a comprehensive summary of health care, health financial flows, and pricing of health treatments. The practical part, on the other hand, shows distribution of health costs among differently aged people in the form of contribution/expenditure ratio. Finally, the results of the questionnaires conducted among patients in privately owned hospitals enabled to conclude that patients in the Czech Republic are still not fully aware of the difference between privately and publically owned hospitals.

Cross-cultural differences in an international company
Laznová, Pavla ; Michálek, Pavel (advisor) ; Marek, Marek (referee)
The theoretical part of the Thesis deals with models and patterns that can be found in every culture. It mentions different dividing of culture, perspectives of culture, from what it is being made, what can has influence on it, how it is being developed, what are the differences between cultures, why and what are the specifics of cultural interaction. The practical part consists of company characteristic, where the research had been accomplished, and of the respondent analysis. The research was made through a questionnaire survey. The data were assessed by statistical method, which confirmed or declined the hypotheses. The result was discussed in the summary.
