Advanced Budget Optimization

The aim of this diploma thesis is to show possibilities of mathematical modeling of creating budget of public universities in Czech republic based on a deeper study of the issue. In the first part of the work, the financing of universities in the Czech Republic is explained and according to what rules and patterns money is distributed to universities. In the next part, the basic knowledge regarding mathematical optimization and stochastic programming, including the creation of models, is presented. Subsequently, a model of stochastic nonlinear programming is compiled to optimize the distribution of funds from some funding sources to universities. In the last chapter, the model is implemented in the GAMS software and the obtained results are evaluated.

This master's thesis focuses on the utilization of controlling in the analyzed company Kiwi.com s.r.o. The theoretical part defines basic principles of controlling, including its evolution and classification. The analytical part examines the current state of controlling within the company. The final section builds upon the previous two parts and proposes solutions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of established controlling activities.

Technological stage of the rough superstructure of an apartment building

The subject of my bachelor's thesis was the development of selected parts of the technological project for building the Community Center in Třanovice. I specifically focused on the stage of the rough upper construction. The building's structure consists of load-bearing perimeter walls made of ceramic blocks and a semi-prefabricated ceiling structure. This thesis includes the design of transport routes, technological procedures, inspection and testing plans, the timeline for the selected part, an itemized budget for the selected part, and the proposal for machinery for this stage. The work also includes the site layout concept, including a technical report, a detailed bill of quantities for the masonry, and a list of materials for the described technological procedures. In the final part of the thesis, an alternative design for the ceiling structure is presented, along with a proposal for revising the project documentation according to modular coordination and selected construction details.

Cost analysis of a rainwater sewer system

This bachelor thesis focuses on analyzing the costs associated with constructing rainwater sewerage systems, considering factors such as the drainage area size, average precipitation in the specific location, and the material characteristics of the sewerage. The practical part provides preliminary and estimated costs for structures with a maximum drainage floor area of up to 350 m. The theoretical section offers an overview of the components of rainwater sewerage systems, their implementation, methods of rainwater management, and relevant legislation. Additionally, terms such as price, costs, and construction budget are explained, including aspects related to them.

Roof Construction implementation of Planetarium in Prostějov

The subject of the bachelor this is the realization of the roofing stage of the new planetarium in Prostějov. In this work, technological processes related to the implementation of the truss, covering works, carpentry, plumbing, welding and finishing works in the form of roof insulation and installation of the supporting structure are solved. The design of the truss is specific to the different slopes of the roof plane, including the connection of the flat roof to the cupola. The content of this work is the Technical Report, transportation of materials and transport relations next to the construction site, technological regulations for the implementation of work, Technical Report of the construction site equipment, design of the machine assembly, inspection and test plans, work safety solutions, timetable, itemized budget, and thermal technical assessment of the structure, scheme of the construction site equipment.

Technological stage of the rough superstructure of the Horova Brno apartment building

The bachelor's thesis deals with the construction-technological preparation of the rough superstructure of the Horova apartment building, which is located in Brno. The apartment building is planned in a gap and consists of three parts, the highest of which has 5 above-ground floors. The building has masonry made of brick blocks and the ceiling structures are monolithic. The construction-technological preparation of the building consists of a technical report for the Horova apartment building, the situation of the building with wider relations of transport routes, a list of dimensions, a technological regulation for the realization of monolithic ceiling and monolithic vertical structures, a solution to the construction organization, a time schedule, a design of a machine assembly, quality requirements and their provision for resolved processes, work safety for the implementation of monolithic constructions, itemized budget, contract for work between the main contractor and subcontractor and contract for renting a room for the construction manager.

Budget and Indebtedness of the City of Židlochovice

The diploma thesis deals with the budget and indebtedness of the city of Židlochovice. The first part contains theoretical starting points regarding the public sector and territorial self-governing units, describes their management, budgeting and indebtedness. The second part contains basic information about the city and the functioning of the city office. It deals with the management of the city, a detailed analysis of the income and expenditure side of the city budget for the year 2023, a description of the medium-term budget outlook drawn up for the period 2024-2028, and an analysis of the city's indebtedness for the period 2020-2023. In the third part, the possibilities of increasing incomes and the possibilities of reducing expenses are suggested, which should lead to a reduction of the city's total indebtedness.

Determining the amount of insurance compensation for a family house in Moravská Nová Ves damaged by a tornado

The diploma thesis focuses on determining the amount of insurance payout for a family house with garage in Moravská Nová Ves, which was damaged by a tornado. In the first part of the diploma thesis explains the basic terms related to the real estate register, the lifespan and wear and tear of buildings, fundamental terminology in insurance, and introduces a budgeting program. The second part of the diploma thesis deals with the property valuation using the cost method and establishes the repair costs using an itemized budget. Subsequently, the impact of these repairs on the property value and the determination of the insurance payout amount are evaluated.

Cost analysis of residential housing investment projects

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the cost over time of a development project from the perspective of a general contractor. The first part of the thesis is focused on theoretical introduction to the issue. It describes the project life cycle, how to manage risks, types of stakeholders, time and cost planning, as well as types of pricing, the necessary basis for budgeting and sources of project financing. The second part is devoted to the analysis of costs over time, using the developed schedule and cost plan to develop a financial plan. The projected and actual costs are compared. The third part deals with the risk analysis of the project. Recommended measures are proposed for the risks. As a result, the project will be evaluated in terms of cost over time and the real risks encountered during construction

Bicycle Path Construction Project Proposal

The diploma thesis deals with the elaboration of a design project for the construction of a bicycle path leading through the municipalities of Střelice, Troubsko and Ostopovice. The contracting authority and at the same time the project supporter are the affected municipalities. The diploma thesis contains theoretical knowledge, which is compared with reality, an analysis of user needs, a proposal for analyzes needed to create project management documentation, and an economic evaluation.
