PUBLIC CITY SPACE – ZNOJMO – RIVER EMBANKMENT OF DYJE

Theme of my work is arguable for the cities which are situated near the river. Riverbanks are really nice public space but a lot of them are not "designed for people". Before I started do this work I was thinking about places which are ignored or overlooked in Znojmo town. Yes, town has a lot of places which are interesting and need "new face". There are brownfiels but problems of these localities was designed many times. And I wanted to find some new way, try restore and improve public space in connecting by the river. I chose locality which connect two important buildings – Znojmo castle and Louka monastery. There is needed to improve connection this locality to town centre.

Hodnocení účinnosti metod likvidace porostů trnovníku akátu

JENČÍKOVÁ, Veronika. The evaluation of the methods of disposal of black locust stands. Brno, 2019. Thesis. Mendel University in Brno. This thesis mainly deals with methods of liquidation of black locust stands and their comparison. The theoretical part also describes the biological characteristics of this problematic tree and its ability to invade the ecosystem. The practical part of this thesis deals with my own experiment in the Podyjí National Park, it was started in November 2016. Herbicide injection method, partial ringing and combination of these methods were chosen. The partial ringing was evaluated as the most effective method. Currently, there are wild horses (exmoor pony) grazing. They are able to suppress sprouting of the black locust. The thesis also contains various practical experiences of experts in this field. Complete removal of black locust stands is a very demanding process and requires several years of care for these areas. The choice of disposal method is linked to specific site conditions and to the desired target area.

The Bachelor work is focused on the Šobes vineyard wich is in the centre of the National Park Podyjí. This paper describes influences on grapevine in general. These include climate, soil nad geology conditions as well as the line of grapevine and green works in the vineyard. The history of the vineyard and varietes of grapevine are also part of the papers research. There were also made certain sensory evaluation and basic chemichal analysis of selected samples of wine. Thanks to he vineyard´s natural conditions, the Šobes belongs among best vineyards in the Europe. The outcomes of the paper shows the necessity of Šobes vineyard´s recovery in order to keep its best status and quality.

Using of Natural Park Podyjí in Botanical Education at Basic School

The aim of this thesis was to prepare, implement and evaluate an excursion as one of the organization forms of fieldtrips for lower secondary pupils from schools in Znojmo benefiting from the natural site of the National Park Podyjí, in specific the location called Kraví hora. In this case, it is a botanical the med field trip. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with general characteristics of the National Park Podyjí from various nature views highlighting its specially protected areas. This is followed by a description of specific field trip aspects and the most frequently used teaching methods together. The practical part contains, among other things, methodological instructions for teachers and pupils as well as didactic materials (worksheets, didactic test), included in the appendix. Questionnaire surveys for pupils and teachers are part of the last empirical chapter. The aim of the questionnaire was to record and evaluate thoughts, feelings and attitudes of pupils from the lower secondary school to the specific field trip, its implementation and overall organization. The importance of clearings on plant communities in Podyjí National Park

In this thesis I deal with various aspects of influence of clearings on plant communities in NP Podyjí. Special space is dedicated to light-demanding, threatened and alien plant species, and their response to light improvement. The area of the Podyjí NP has been used by people continuously for a very long time. There is therefore a whole range of plant species, linked to a certain anthropogenic disturbance regime. I observed the development of plant communities using phytocenological relevés on six pairs of clearings (isolated and connected with open habitats), created in 2011 and 2012. At the same time, I also investigated the adjacent closed-canopy forests and open forests on the edge of the canyon. During the first year after cutting, there was a significant increase in diversity and species cover in the clearings. In the following years, significant changes took place on isolated clearings, as the zone of closed-canopy forest delayed low colonization by new individuals in first years. In the clearings, diversity and abundance of plants were significantly higher than in the closed-canopy forest and open forest. The number of endangered plant species was the highest in open forest. Vliv osevních směsí a pozemkových úprav na travino-bylinná společenstva v NP Podyjí

This bachelor thesis evaluates differences in species composition and diversity on grass -herbal locations in NP Podyjí. The Author describes the area of the national park and surrounding near the village Číţov, where it was done the phytocenological surveys. This surveys became a base for Author evaluation. The objective and goal of the evaluation is to compare the differences in localities with different sowing terms and management.

Fish population on the river Dyje at NP Podyjí

This thesis is focused on changes of fish populations in the river Dyje located at the national park Podyjí. These changes are caused mostly due to presence of two large dams (Znojemská and Vranovská dam) between which w the study locality is situated. There are also other factors affecting ichtyofauna composition as piscivorous predators, non-native species or restocking of particular target species. First information about the fish populations appeared in year 1921. In that years, the locality contained species, that are not present at the river site at the moment. Examples given: sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus) and danube salmon (Hucho hucho). These species extincions were associated with interupted fish migration between locality and Donau river basin. On the other hand, new fish pecies (that are not-native to Czech Republic and were not observed before 1921) started to appear during following years. From the former fish population of type Barbus-Chondrostoma the type changed to Salmo-Thymallus. Most of this change was caused by regular restocking of the salmonids. Since 1993 there is evidence on new presence of tolerant fish species that do not necesarilly need cold, flowing water. There is high probability, that this appearance is caused by slowing down the river stream and also the heating of the water, that takes place in the dam.

V roce 1992 byly založeny pokusy, které měly ověřit, zda vypalování, kosení a odstraňování drnů jako tradiční typy managementu západoevropských vřesovišť povedou k obnově a zmlazení vřesovišť v NPR Podyjí. Dále bylo v roce 2000 založeno 30 nových ploch na studium vlivu pastvy a kosení. Od roku 2000 je také sledována dynamika mikrobiálních transformací dusíků v půdě, rychlost rozkladu opadu a efektivita využití N a P rostlinami. V roce 2001 byly na vřesoviště naistalovány srážkoměry.
