The first part of the thesis deals with the theory that describes the individual elements that are within the framework of safe and barrier-free use of roads. The second part of the thesis is practical, where suggestions for improving the selected routes are made. Accessibility of transport nodes from the perspective of people with disabilities is a document that serves as a concept to develop safety and accessibility of transport nodes in cities. This work can also serve as a basis for investors who want to build or repair places that are not easily accessible and potentially dangerous for people with disabilities. The work is created with the intention that people with disabilities can safely complete the routine journeys they use every day. The adaptations are designed for all types of disabled people, which include those with physical, visual and hearing impairments. The town of Havlíčkův Brod was chosen for this work due to the fact that there is a large transport hub in the form of a train and bus station, which are complemented by public transport stops. Soft targets and crowded places protection using evacuation modeling
Dobiášová, Lucie ; Apeltauer, Tomáš (referee) ; Okřinová, Petra (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of protection of Prague's main train station as a soft target and it's regular operation, mainly by using evacuation model with emphasis on barrier-free issues. Mapping of the building was conducted by using Decree No. 398/2009 Coll. general technical requirements ensuring the barrier-free usage of buildings and their parts. Adapting the environment to people with reduced mobility is not always axiomatic, especially in terms of evacuation. For the movement of these persons it is necessary to take into account their needs and possibilities in normal traffic and during evacuation. The sociological and psychological aspects of crowd and individuals have also significant impact on evacuation. For identifying critical points of the main train station, it has been used knowledge of local research, knowledge of barrier-free buildings, sociology and psychology, and special simulation tools for modeling the movement of people. It has been found that space can be optimized by detailed analysis of simulation outputs to meet all expected requirements without negative impact on barrier-free domain. Thanks to this, it was possible to achieve a new design, which accomplishes higher safety of people with movement and orientation disabilities, especially during emergency situations in building of main train station Prague.
Sports and Relaxation Centre Vsetín, Ohrada
Tallmayer, Dominik ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
This paper aims to elaborate an urbanistic study focused on the establishment of a multifunction athletic and recreational area located in Vsetín-Ohrada, carrying the name of the location, Ohrada. The reason to elaborate on this project is the current desolate state of the area, which already does not fulfil its purpose and serves only as lodgings and as a facility for the tennis club. My approach for this project implies identified accidence of buildings with an emphasis on maximal use of daylight, open spaces, green areas, and social interactions. All of these parts connect ideas and needs of future generations and deliver into the area new Genio Loci. For me, the biggest challenge in this complex area is finding the answer to meaningful use of the big amount of soil that is part of the canker tribune. The solution for this challenge might be in the creation of new access paths and footbridge to the buildings which provide several parts of space with different atmosphere and purpose. The main idea was the creation of a leisure public space with an emphasis on the variability of used areas that serve people from all age groups. It creates several main areas that divide the location and deliver various atmospheres for each generation. Additionally, the area as a whole is open and accessible to the public. A sign of long-term functional society is the ability of considerable behaviour toward public areas. Space in front of and between buildings happened to be more important than the building itself. In this case, we can talk about public life that is sustainable in time.
