The aim of the bachelor thesis "The aspect of faith in burnout syndrome" was to reflect on the relationship of belief to burnout. Does belief in God help to prevent burnout or under certain circumstances, can it be a risk factor? Burnout develops as a result of disturbing the inner balance of a person caused by the long-term effects of negative factors from the external environment (stressors), which will meet certain risk factors of personality. In this work the risk personality patterns, which are controled of internal drivers (inner motivators), viewed from the perspective of transactional analysis. These motivators are advices and commands from childhood, such as "Try hard!", "Be Perfect!" and the others that then shape the reality of man. If a person does not brake them, but supports them, then he is like a candle burning from both sides - shining greatly, but it burns out faster. This work attempts to find out whether belief in God is in the process of burnout a brake or "fuel". The theoretical part is divided into two main thematic areas. The first is to get acquainted with burnout, its symptoms, external and personality risk factors. The second part deals with the role of belief in God in burnout, where are both options outlined, its positive and potential risk effects on burnout. There is...
Religious Conversion - Authentic Testimonies of Converts
Mašková, Eva ; Kučera, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Vogel, Jiří (referee) ; Čornej, Petr (referee)
Religious conversion is an interesting phenomenon that crosses religious beliefs. This phenomenon intersects with many various disciplines, from medicine through the scientific disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, religious studies, psychology and theology. Religious conversion may on the one hand be a demonstration of deep spiritual experience and on the other, the result of strong pressure from others. We can get closer to the truth only through the authentic testimonies of the converts. This is why I have chosen the theme of the religious conversion in the context of "pure experience". We can see differences among conversions to various religions. But it is necessary to say, that I am interested in conversion to Christianity. But the Christianity of two thousand years ago is not the Christianity of today. The Apostle Paul joined a marginal movement at a time when such acceptance was punishable by death. Today, however, converts have joined millions of faithful around the whole world. And this is why religious conversion to Christianity is a lively phenomenon. In my thesis I would like to clarify the question: "What is religious conversion?" Is it a manifestation of the power of God, or is it a clearly human decision? Has the conversion some connection with the social environment, or is...
