Experimental workplace for research of car speed limiters
Kubát, Michal ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of remote vehicle speed limitation. The aim of this work is to develop an experimental workplace where the speed limitation using connection to CAN bus will be tested. In the theoretical part, a research on existing solutions of speed limiters is conducted and their protocols and technologies are described. The theoretical part also includes a research and description of possible threats and attacks on technology ITS-G5. The practical part deals with the development of the experimental workplace that consists of an OBD-II simulator and a transmitter. The OBD-II simulator includes Arduino UNO and add-on modules, its communication is realised via CAN bus. Transmitter includes Arduino NANO. Then, a wireless communication between a transmitter and an OBD-II simulator on 433 MHz and the wireless speed adjustments are developed. Finally, the IVIM message is designed and implemented for car speed limitation. Its structure was selected according to ISO standards for communication in ITS-G5 technology. The implementation of this message was tested on an OBD-II simulator. On the whole, a complete experimental workplace was assembled, and its manual was created.
The Polish anti-abortion movement in context of the social and political debate
Stejskalová, Michaela ; Klípa, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kubát, Michal (referee)
Issues related to women's rights, and specifically the right to abortion, belong to the range of central topics that every modern society must deal with and that signal the degree of its liberalization. For the same reason, the given issue is thematized by global and local conservative actors, who have been disseminating the concept of so-called "genderism" in the last decade, which they have used to cover issues of abortion and other social changes considered from their perspective as negative and degrading the "natural order" of Western civilization. They have decided to take an active stand against such changes and to advocate for a political and social return to traditional values. In this context, an important example is Poland, where under the rule of the conservative populist Law and Justice party between 2015 and 2023, there was a clear trend towards this value shift, in which conservative non-governmental organizations played a significant role. A typical example of such an entity is the Ordo Iuris Foundation, which has managed to establish itself as a major actor in the fight against artificial termination of pregnancy and other related issues in a short time horizon. The aim of this thesis was to map how the agenda of Ordo Iuris fits into the goals set by the global anti-gender...
Slovak political groups within the faction of the European People's Party from the point of view of party families
Grim, Jakub ; Kubát, Michal (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
8 The thesis, utilizing qualitative content analysis, examines five Slovak political parties and movements within the European People's Party (EPP). The analytical part, employing a comparative method, juxtaposes the EPP program with those of KDH, SDKÚ-DS, SMK- MKS, Most-Híd, and OĽaNO. The aim is to determine whether their inclusion in the EPP aligns with their respective programs. The concept of party families is also employed in the thesis, as the EPP represents the Christian Democratic party family in the European Parliament.
The attitude of the Czech populist parties towards the European Union during the coronavirus crisis
Koryntová, Eva ; Kubát, Michal (advisor) ; Mejstřík, Martin (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the approach of Czech populist political entities, the ANO 2011 movement, the Freedom and Direct Democracy movement (SPD) and the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) to the European Union (EU) in connection with the coronavirus crisis. These parties are examined by discursive analysis based on debates of its members in the lower house of the Parliament of the Czech Republic - the Chamber of Deputies. The thesis revealed that despite the Eurosceptic nature of all examined parties, their approach to the EU was not the same. The parties that were in the reviewed period in the opposition, the SPD movement, and KSČM - were critical to the EU at almost all examined points. They asked the government to act at the national level and used nearly identical arguments. The ANO government movement had more moderate rhetoric toward the EU, and in some cases, it even positioned itself as a defender of the EU policies. The only person criticizing the EU in the ANO movement turned out to be Andrej Babiš, whose statements toward the EU became more and more acute with the upcoming elections to the Chamber of Deputies.
Czech pixel world
Sochor, Kryštof ; Kubát, Michal (advisor) ; Šindelář, Jakub (referee)
The qualification thesis is devoted to the Czech video game industry and the extent of its influence by the socialist regime in the former Czechoslovakia. The extent of the influence is examined by comparing the current and past state of the video game industry in the Czech Republic with the state of the industry in the US in a total of three categories, which are the video game community, its technical background, and the form of video game titles themselves. A part of the thesis is also devoted to the development of the video game industry in the contemporary Czech Republic and its possible specifics, such as the creation of anti-regime text adventure games or a specific approach to copyright.
