This method was verified for 5 different samples of PLA, which 4 of them was made of waste PLA. The time needed for depolymerization was evaluated and the effect of catalysis. Lactide and PLA recyclates was further analyzed by NMR, FTIR, DSC and GPC.
Preparation of Ethyl 2-acetoxypropanoate
Kučerová, Eliška ; Pospíšilová, Aneta (referee) ; Figalla, Silvestr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the preparation of ethyl 2-acetoxypropanoate as a potential nonpolar biosolvent. Selected preparation should provide the highest yield possible. For this purpose, a theoretical review of possible syntheses was developed, with emphasis on syntheses based on acetylation of ethyl lactate. The experimental part of the work then focuses in more detail on the possibility of isolating ethyl 2-acetoxypropanoate from the reaction mixture. Product isolation was verified by fractional distillation and extraction method. In the isolated product, the basic physical properties were determined and the spectrum measured by Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy. Furthermore, the hydrolytic stability of ethyl 2-acetoxypropanoate was investigated and a series of calorimetric measurements were performed. From these measurements, the effect of reaction temperature on reaction rate and product conversion and the effect of catalyst presence was assessed.

The subject of this diploma thesis is Kamil Uhlíř (1923-1983), a translator and one of the founders of Czech Hispanic Studies, who focused professionally mainly on the literature of the Lapland region (Argentina, Uruguay, etc.). The next chapter deals with Kamil Uhlíř's translation and literary areas of interest. The central part of the thesis is dedicated to the translation analysis of the two selected translations by Uhlíř. The first is the short story Alef by Borges in comparison with the original but also taking into account the modifications in the next Czech edition. The subsequent text is The Pursuer by Cortázar, which is compared with Uhlíř's translation and Jan Machej's new translation.
Didactic Game "Birds Trapping"
Kučerová, Eliška ; Dvořáková, Radka (advisor) ; Blažová, Kateřina (referee)
Creation of an authorial didactic game with the topic of birds' research and birds trapping is the aim of this master thesis. The game guides high school students from historical birds trapping to modern research trapping methods for the purpose of bird ringing and further research. For the purposes of this game there are firstly described principles and benefits of didactic games as well as the history of birds trapping mainly in the territory of today's Czech Republic. The didactic game deepens the students' knowledge of the topic, concurrently it touches on the history and geographical knowledge of our country. Students develop their cooperation, verbal communication and the search for solutions and compromises. The game is designed for the smaller class group, students cooperate in small groups (3 - 5 students) which compete. Authorial game was tested in diverse class groups. Based on these experiences was verified the suitability of the game for students and were described the problematic points in the game rules and in the whole concept of the game. Key words: educational game, authorial game, birds trapping, teamwork, communication
Diversity and abundance of birds in 3D space of Žofínský prales primary forest
Kučerová, Eliška ; Hořák, David (advisor) ; Korňan, Martin (referee)
Bird species are specialized in diverse types of environments. Considering for example forest species, this does not mean that all species inhabit the same ecological niches. Some species occupy undergrowth while others prefer treetops. Some birds are bound to clearings and other gaps in forest cover, and other species require old trees with cavities. Primary Central European mixed forest is not a homogenous environment. But, on small spatial scales, the environment is very heterogeneous. We get an unprecedented variety of habitats especially when including the forest vertical dimension, which birds use much more than it is usually considered in studies. This diploma thesis describes in detail the bird assemblage in the Czech oldest nature reserve NPR Žofínský prales in which vegetation research is currently in progress. However, research dealing with bird mapping in forests still rarely consider the vertical dimension of the environment. Most bird censuses focus on the diversity of species at a site but usually do not include abundance of individual species. I, therefore, focused on a detailed mapping of the bird community on a 50-hectare area in NPR Žofínský prales. During the census, each bird and each bird's exact position in the 3D space of the forest were recorded. Special attention is paid...
Psychological aspects of reentry from LLP-Erasmus
Kučerová, Eliška ; Štětovská, Iva (referee) ; Morgensternová, Monika (referee)
This rigorous thesis focuses on the psychological questions of reentry from the foreign studying programme LLP - Erasmus. The theoretical part of the thesis deal with psychological aspects of intercultural adaptation and mainly readaptation which consists of cognitive, affective and behavioral dimension. The attention is especially give to the reverse culture shock: to its definition, readaptation strategies and survey of its research. At the theoretical part, the factors which influence process of intercultural adaptation/readaptation are also introduced. From the introduced factors, this paper mostly focuses on the influence of the five - factor structure of personality because this concept of personality is seen as crucial at the questions of intercultural adaptation/readaptation. This thesis also analyses design of reentry training which returning students could take part in. At the empirical part, there were tested variables which influence reentry from LLP - Erasmus. 81 students who study at Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague and who attended LLP - Erasmus in the academic years 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 participated on the research. Two studies were executed. The first study (the validation study) focused on a validisation of results of the quantitative study at my master thesis (Kučerová,...

Influence of mixing conditions of microcrystalline celluloses with lubricants on compression process and tablet strength.
Kučerová, Eliška ; Mužíková, Jitka (advisor) ; Šklubalová, Zdeňka (referee)
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department: Pharmaceutical Technology Student: Eliška Kučerová Consultant: Assoc. Prof. PharmDr. Jitka Mužíková, Ph.D. Title of the Diploma Thesis: Influence of mixing conditions of microcrystalline celluloses with lubricants on compression process and tablet strength. This work evaluates the influence of a type of mixing device and mixing time of three types of microcrystalline cellusoses (MCC) with lubricants on compression process and tablet strength. Microcel® MC 102, MC 200 and Prosolv® SMCC 90 are used as dry binders. Magnesium stearate and sodium stearyl fumarate at 1% concentration are used as lubricants. Two types of mixing devices are used to mix powders, a mixing cube and a 3D Turbula mixer. Mixing time is 2 or 4 minutes. All tablets are compressed by compression force of 5 kN on the Zwick / Roell T1-FRO 50 material tester. The compressibility is evaluated by the energy profile of compression process, sensitivity to the addition of lubricants is characterized by lubricant sensitivity ratio values (LSR). The total energy of compression of all MCC decreases with the addition of both types of lubricants and with longer mixing time, more in the case of mixing in the cube. The highest values of the total energy of compression and at...
