Lifting devices of portal crane

The work is focused on the design of the lifting device of a special gantry crane for handling ships up to 50 tons. Concretly for the structural design of the lifting device, its functional calculation, strength control of the crane traverse and partial drawing documentation.
Press quenching of HEMA sword blades

Martensitic transformation during quenching is inherently related to creation of residual stresses within the quenched part, which lead to quenching-induced distortion. There are multible approaches to reducing quenching-induced distortion. Among the more effective is utilising cold die quenching. Construction of a cold die quench press for quenching thin, flat parts is relatively simple, but scarcely used due to high investment costs and the difficulty of determining thermal contact conductance between quench press dies and quenched part. An example of a part whose manufacture is complicated because of quenching-induced distortion is a sword blade. The experimental part of this thesis examines quenching samples of a steel used for making sword blades, 42CrMo4, using two different quench press die constructions. Analysis of said samples shows that proposed quenching method is comparable or superior to quenching via conventional quenchants. Proposed quenching method lowers quenching-induced distortion and has minimal recurring costs connected to using liquid quenchants and the method is therefore viable for quenching sword blades.
Design of a coaxial drone and its production by 3D printing

This thesis explores the concept of a coaxial rotor arrangement in drones and proposes the design of a coaxial drone inspired by existing open-source projects. The paper introduces several specific projects that propose coaxial unmanned aerial vehicles. The objective is to create models of a functional coaxial drone, printing and assembling prototype of drone.

This master’s thesis deals with problem of unemployment in the district of Havlickuv Brod in years 2009 – 2013. It analyses factors, which have influence on unemployment and the structure of applicants for a job in different categories. On the basis of the analysis are suggested measures, which should lead to the reduction of unemployment in district Havlickuv Brod.

Heat treatment of hand tightening tools

Bachelor´s thesis deals with problems of heat treatment of hand tightening tools. Literary analysis is focused on the principles of heat treatment such as annealing, austenitizing, quenching and tempering. Attention is also focused on unconventional heat treatment technology using vacuum and furnace atmospheres based on nitrogen. Analysis of dividing and heat treatment of tool steels is another subject of literary research. In the experimental part are machinery and technological progress of the stock in the company Wera Werk s.r.o., which has more than 50 years engaged in the manufacture, sales and innovation of hand tightening tools. Following processing of the experimental material with a focus on heat treatment and mechanical properties indicate in laboratory tests. Based on the measured and statistically processed values of mechanical quantities is developed design optimization process of heat treatment of hand tightening tools of Wera Werk.
Influence of the electron beam trajectory on the surface properties of steel 42CrMo4

The thesis deals with surface quenching of steel 42CrMo4 by electron beam. Influence of technologic parameters and beam deflection on properties and structure of prepared layers is studied. Electron beam surface quenching was applicated with and without melting of the surface. Structures of layers made by electron beam quenching were compared with structures made by laser and electromagnetic induction. Structures and phases were analysed by optical microscopy, SEM and roentgen diffraction. Hardness was measured on hardened layers.
FITkit - PC Crypted Communication

This thesis deals with the issue of concealing confidential data being transmitted in between two systems. The coding standard AES as a block symmetric cipher has been selected. In practise, the connection between the FITkit platform and a PC was set via serial communication. The FITkit is programmed in language C and the PC in language C++ . There has been designed a simple protocol for setting up the connection and for the information exchange about encoding. Due to the difficulties with serial communication on the kit side there have been created two applications. The first application reads encoded kit data and translates them with the assistance of  preset values. The second one communicates with the kit emulator on the other computer and works at full range, what means - establishing the connection, generating keys modes  and number of encoding rounds, safe key exchange and the possibility of data reading and writing to the kit.
The Efficient Implementation of the Genetic Algorithm Using Multicore Processors

This diploma thesis deals with acceleration of advanced genetic algorithm. For implementation, discrete and continuos versions of UMDA genetic algorithm were chosen. The main part of the acceleration is the utilization of SSE instruction set. Using this set, the functions for calculating fitness and new population sampling were accelerated in particular. Then the pseudorandom number generator that also uses SSE instruction set was implemented.  The discrete algorithm reached the speed of up to 4,6 after this implementation. Finally, the algorithms were modified so that the system  OpenMP could be used, which enables the running of blocks of code in more threads. The continuous version of algorithm is not convenient for parallelization, because computational complexity of that algorithm is low. In comparison, the discrete versions of algorithm are really appropriate for parallelization. Both the implemented versions reached the total acceleration of up to 4,9 and 7,2.
