Educational needs of elementary school teachers in distance teaching

This bachelor thesis focuses on the readiness of first grade teachers for distance learning. The aim of this work is to map the readiness of teachers for distance learning from their point of view. In the theoretical part, the work focuses on the concept of classical and current teaching, on the contrast between various forms of teaching, on distance learning in the world and in the Czech Republic, on communication between student and teacher. The practical part of the work will try to discover how teachers felt prepared for the distance learning. What is their experience and what support they have received.

Therapy of Voice Disorders

TITLE: Therapy of voice disorders AUTHOR: Michaela Horáková DEPARTMENT: Department of special education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Miroslava Kotvová ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis deals with the voice disorders and their treatment options. The character of the thesis is mostly theoretical and the thesis is divided into four general parts. The first one elaborates the anatomy and physiology of the vocal tract as a basis for understanding mechanisms of voice pathology development, the second one is devoted to voice disorders and their categorization, and the third part deals with their therapy, as the czech literature reflects it. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to voice disorders therapy in the United States with a practical focus on therapeutical program Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) widely used abroad during the treatment of voice disorders especially connected to Parkinson disease. The program is considered to be very effective and it is really popular outside of the Czech republic. LSVT is not well known in the Czech republic yet and there is actually only limited information devoted to this type of voice therapy. TITLE: Speech and language therapy intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders AUTHOR: Michaela Horáková DEPARTMENT: Department of special education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Lucie Durdilová ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis is devoted to speech and language therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders. The theoretical part deals with autism spectrum disorders, focusing on their classification, etiology, symptomatology with an emphasis on qualitative impairment in communication, and care options for preschool children with these disorders. The thesis also concerns with the theoretical bases of speech and language therapy intervention provided for children with autism spectrum disorders. The practical part is devoted to communication improvement in special nursery school. It includes case studies of two boys with autism. The aim of this qualitative research investigation is to evaluate children's communication skills, describe the intervention methods to improve their communication, and describe work with children in the classroom, focusing on stimulation of their communication competencies. UHPLC analysis of degradation products of tetracaine hydrochloride

Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Michaela Horáková Supervisor: Ludmila Matysová Title of Diploma Thesis: Determination of Degradation Product of Tetracaine hydrochloride by Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography This diploma thesis deal with using UHPLC for determination of tetracaine hydrochloride and its degradation products, p-aminobenzoic acid and p-n-butylaminobenzoic acid. Separation was achieved by using Kinetex 5 µ XB- C18 100A column and the eluent, acetonitrile-buffer, when buffer containing water with phosphoric acid (pH=2.2) at a flow rate of 1.7 ml/min. Gradient elution was chosen, which began at 35 % of acetonitrile, in the second minute rised to 95 % of organic phase, and then descended to 35 % in the fourth minute. Ethylparaben was used as an internal standard. The wavelengths 300 nm for tetracaine hydrochloride and its degradation products, and 240 nm for internal standard were chosen for detection. Validation approved that this method provides accurate and precise results.

Občanské fórum in Slaný

The object of this study is the creation, activity and termination of Občanské fórum (OF) in the central Bohemia city Slaný. The OF in Slaný was established after the general strike on 27th November 1989 at home of one of the founders. Other OF were created spontaneously in the workplace and in schools and gradually merged into the urban OF. In the early days the dialogue was the priority, members of OF Slaný called for discussion by their deputies in the local national committee. The main objective is to clarify the activities of OF and its influence on events in Slaný in November and the days following. Many different people with different interests, motivations and desires came and left the OF. And it influenced his future direction and impact on the political scene in Slaný. Without the establishment of the OF it would be more difficult to put pressure on city officials to allow access to the administration for the non-communist parties. The parties and movements have been isolated. The OF was able to unify the parties and joint efforts have produced results. The functions of the OF were primarily informational, coordination and control. Strategy that both parties (the Communist Party and Občanské fórum) chose was a compromise.
