Laser ablation of calcium and aluminium atoms as a particle source for ion trap
Grim, Jakub ; Pekař, Zdeněk ; Pham, Minh Tuan ; Číp, Ondřej
Laser ablation is an effective method for generating particles from a variety of materials, including those with high evaporation temperatures such as aluminum. The use of high-energy laser pulses enables controlled evaporation of the material and the creation of an ablation crater. Successful results have been obtained in a pilot setup for the generation of neutral calcium and aluminium atoms by laser ablation. The method is being compared with thermal resistance oven in order to optimize the prosec generation of these particles. Subsequent spectroscopic measurements on the generated atoms are performed to optimize the absorption and emission of photons for subsequent ionization in the ion trap. A study of the transitions of neutral Ca and Al atoms shows that laser ablation provides a more efficient generation of atoms with the possibility of greater control over the process.
The spectroscopy of a cloud of Calcium atoms for the experiment of laser cooling
Grim, Jakub ; Pham, Minh Tuan (referee) ; Číp, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the research on methods of generating calcium atoms into ion traps. To be specific, it is a pulse laser ablation method and generating by the calcium heat oven heated by electric current, which is currently being used. Part of the thesis is the design of experimental apparatus for the generation of calcium atoms including vacuum and optical assembly and subsequent experimental assembly itself according to design. At the end, there is an experiment, where is used electric current for heating the oven, ablation laser for ablation of calcium atoms and fluorescence spectroscopy for detection of generated neutral calcium atoms.

Design of a modular miniaturized apparatus for ion trapping
Jedlička, Petr ; Pham, Minh Tuan ; Grim, Jakub ; Čížek, Martin ; Čepil, Adam ; Slodička, L. ; Číp, Ondřej
We are developing a new experimental apparatus for laser cooling of trapped ions, focusing on high electric field homogeneity, modularity and small size. The apparatus allows measurements with Coulomb crystals and easy modification for different experiments. The high homogeneity trap is created by electrospinning, while the modularity allows for the exchange of key parts. By miniaturizing the dimensions, we achieve a larger numerical aperture of the lens and a reduction in the size of the magnetic shielding. This portable apparatus offers new possibilities for ion studies and is promising for applications in satellite systems and reconnaissance satellites.
The Coherence of Light Emitted by a Linear Coulomb Crystal and Its Mirror Image
Čepil, Adam ; Lešundák, Adam ; Pham, Minh Tuan ; Čížek, Martin ; Grim, Jakub ; Slodička, L. ; Číp, Ondřej
In our work, we focus on the experimental demonstration of two complementary approaches to enhancing the interaction between photons and atoms at the level of individual photons and 40Ca+ ions. We implement a scheme in which the observation of light interference scattered by several trapped atomic ions is further enhanced due to interference with their mirror images. The control of the corresponding collective coherent optical scattering and the possibility of observing the interaction with light emitted by many independent ions modified by optical boundary conditions promises a feasible approach to the effective realization of the interaction between light and matter or to the controlled observation of quantum electrodynamics phenomena with many atoms.
Slovak political groups within the faction of the European People's Party from the point of view of party families
Grim, Jakub ; Kubát, Michal (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
8 The thesis, utilizing qualitative content analysis, examines five Slovak political parties and movements within the European People's Party (EPP). The analytical part, employing a comparative method, juxtaposes the EPP program with those of KDH, SDKÚ-DS, SMK- MKS, Most-Híd, and OĽaNO. The aim is to determine whether their inclusion in the EPP aligns with their respective programs. The concept of party families is also employed in the thesis, as the EPP represents the Christian Democratic party family in the European Parliament.
Compact vacuum assembly for trapping and laser cooling of 27Al+ and 40Ca+ ions
Grim, Jakub ; Vlček, Ivan ; Jedlička, Petr ; Pham, Minh Tuan ; Číp, Ondřej
We present the design of a compact vacuum chamber for trapping and laser cooling of 27Al+ a 40Ca+ ions. The vacuum chamber has been designed to a compact size to achieve good optical access to the trapped ions and ultra-high vacuum in the chamber. In combination with the Helmholtz coils, saddle coils, and magnetic shielding is achieved a homogenous magnetic field in the ion trapping area. The presented apparatus will enable quantum experiments with single ions and also Coulomb crystals.
Media image of Jiří Čunek in selected Czech daily newspaper
Grim, Jakub ; Just, Petr (advisor) ; Jirků, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with the media image of Jiří Čunek in three Czech daily newspaper Blesk, Mladá fronta DNES and Valašský deník. The selected method is a quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The thesis covers three periods of Čunek's political career - the eviction of Roma inhabitants from the center of Vsetín in autumn 2006, non-election as chairman of KDU-ČSL at the turn of May and June 2009 and victory in regional elections in Zlín Region in autumn 2016. Čunek is a specific political figure that is on the one hand very popular in the Vsetín region, but on the other hand was very unsuccessful in national politics. The thesis examines whether his media image differed between the selected periods and dailies.

Media perception of Miloš Urban's novels Sedmikostelí a Hastrman
Grim, Jakub ; Čeňková, Jana (advisor) ; Malý, Radek (referee)
1 Abstract This bachelor thesis is about two novels by writer Milos Urban - Sedmikostelí and Hastrman, which are from his early work on the turn of the millennium. The thesis also contains an interpretation of these novels, their discrepant genre classification, films, foreign translations or the correlation with the rest of Urban's work. The theoretical part of the thesis also contains a chapter about literary criticism. The second part of the thesis is mainly about media reception of both novels. Selected reviews are from daily newspapers, magazines or special cultural periodicals. During the analysis of reception, there was a focus on parts of the novels which were highlighted or criticized by reviewers. At the end of the thesis, there is also an interview with Milos Urban.
