Application of agile approach in education (case study)
Kazarina, Karina ; Lipková, Helena (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee)
This master's thesis focuses on the implementation of an agile approach in a non-traditional context, specifically in education. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and evaluate the potential use of the agile approach in education and its impact on teaching effectiveness, student motivation, and satisfaction with the learning process. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the agile approach and its methodology, which served as the basis for the development of an agile educational approach. It also describes current trends in modern education, reflecting the expectations of contemporary students regarding their studies and their preferred learning methods. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on specific agile methods in education and summarizes the state of research and the results of case studies as a basis for the practical part of the work. In this way, the thesis provides a theoretical framework for this issue, based on current studies. The practical part of the thesis includes qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews and presents the results of this research. Bayesian inference for anisotropic cluster point processes
Pavlovičová, Diana ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor) ; Pawlas, Zbyněk (referee)
Point processes are stochastic models widely used in biology, forestry, or astronomy. In this thesis, we are going to deal mainly with anisotropic cluster point processes. We present a new method for estimating parameters of such models. The basis of this method is the use of Bayesian statistics combined with Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithms, which are a useful way to estimate parameters which are difficult or impossible to estimate using traditional methods. We describe the method in detail and present several examples of its application to simulated and real-life datasets and discuss the difficulties associated with it. Finally, we prove theoretical results about the convergence of the corresponding Markov chain under specific assumptions on the model and discuss the difficulties we encounter when examining these properties.
Variance of the product of random variables
Danácsová, Michaela ; Pawlas, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
This thesis focuses on the variance of the product of random variables and its appli- cation in specific examples. The work is systematically divided into four chapters, where the variance for independent and dependent random variables is derived. We will focus on deriving the variance in cases of random samples and paired observations. Throughout all the chapters, we will also focus on linear approximation, which is compared throu- ghout the work to the exact form of the variance of the product of random variables. The final chapter illustrates the derived theory on examples from discrete and continuous distributions. The contribution of this bachelor's thesis is the clarification and understan- ding of the issue of the variance of the product of random variables and the application of theoretical derivations on specific distributions. 1
The impact of episiotomy on women's health
Kalfasová, Daniela ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Laštůvka, Zdeněk (referee)
My bachelor thesis deals with the issue of episiotomy and its impact on the health of women who have given birth spontaneously. An episiotomy is an obstetric procedure that was often routinely performed in the past, but in recent years has become the subject of research regarding its long-term consequences on women's health. My thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and research. The theoretical part includes anatomy of the pelvic floor, definition of episiotomy and its historical development. It also contains information about the possibilities of prevention of birth injury and faster recovery from the resulting injury. The research part is developed in the form of an online questionnaire that was posted on social media groups related to pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. The questions were formulated in such a way that women could choose from multiple options or provide open-ended answers. The questionnaire was intended only for women who had given birth spontaneously. The main aim of the research was to find out how episiotomy affects the physical, psychological and sexual aspects of a woman's life compared to women who did not have an episiotomy. A sub-objective was to find out whether women who had birth injury had a good information about faster recovery from the resulting injury. The...
Additional hearing of the succession
Vonková, Kateřina ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Janoušková, Anežka (referee)
Additional hearing of the succession Abstract The thesis deals with the additional hearing of the succession as an institute of inheritance law, which is not dealt with as a whole in any professional publication. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to provide the reader with a comprehensive theoretical interpretation of the additional hearing of the succession in one place. The purpose of the thesis is to outline the complexity of the institute it deals with, both from the perspective of the legal regulation used in the additional hearing of the succession and from the perspective of the course of the different types of additional hearing of the succession and the difficulties in terms of its connection to the original succession proceedings and its current independence. The thesis provides a theoretical definition of the concept of the additional hearing of the succession and further demonstrates its nature as well as its characteristic elements, types of the additional hearing of the succession and its course. Beyond the theory, the thesis discusses the specifics that may arise in the course of a additional hearing of the succession. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first three chapters present the theoretical basis of the thesis and the last two chapters complement the above interpretation...
Legal position of the forced heir
Málková, Michala ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Zvára, Michael (referee)
Legal position of the forced heir Abstract This rigorous thesis discusses the legal position of the forced heir. This is one of the major topics in the law of succession and it affects wider public. Forced heirs are guaranteed to receive special protection consisting mainly of property inheritance benefits, even against the will of a testator. Defining the legal position of the forced heir represents a certain compromise between the principles of mandatory family protection and the autonomy of the testator's will. The goal of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the position of the forced heir, focusing on certain disputable topics and practical applications. The thesis aims to link legislation with practical examples and to describe changes that are being introduced to the legal status of forced heirs by the practise of courts and by professional literature. Special attention is given to the compulsory portion, collation and the forced heir's position in the inheritance proceedings. The rigorous thesis consists of seven chapters, each of them divided into subchapters for clarity. The first chapter discusses the basic principles related to forced heirs. The second chapter consists of the basic institutes of the law of succession in relation to forced heirs. The third chapter provides an...
Deciding on alternate care
Krejčí, Simona ; Janoušková, Anežka (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee)
Deciding on alternate care Abstract The aim of my master thesis on the topic "Deciding on alternate care" is to analyse the decision- making of courts and the criteria that influence the assignment of a child to alternate care in the Czech Republic. The aim is not only to assess to what extent these factors and criteria are in the interest of the child, but also to what extent they must be fulfilled in order for this institution to be used with regard to the needs of the children themselves. At the same time, I also discuss the biggest problems that accompany alternate care. This thesis is divided into seven parts. In the first part, I define the basic concepts related to alternate care and also discuss the forms of post-divorce child care. The forms of post- divorce care are sole custody of one parent, joint custody, alternate custody and entrustment to another person. In the second part I describe the development of alternate care in the Czech Republic. In the third part, I focus on selected case law of the Constitutional Court, which specifically concerns alternate care and its pitfalls. The case law of the Constitutional Court is very important in this respect. In the fourth part, I describe in depth the so-called four-stage test of suitability, which was formulated by the Constitutional Court in order...
Design and production of a clamping bar for a rifle scope
Džuppa, Filip ; Kolomý, Štěpán (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, a fully functional innovative rail for mounting a rifle scope, on a hunting rifle, was designed and fabricated. Market research is presented in the first chapter and then in the third chapter, in several iterations, a new rail is designed. In chapter four, the fabrication of the jig for machining and the actual manufacture of the rail is described. The blank bent during the first fabrication, and so a second one was fabricated. The blank was annealed to eliminate internal stresses before the second fabrication. Lastly, the blackening of the fabricated rail and testing its functionality is described.
