The specifics of motivation in construction company
Smejkal, Marek ; Doležel, Pavel (referee) ; Linkeschová, Dana (advisor)
The dissertation‘s thesis, called „The Specifics of Motivation in Construction Company“, deals with problems connected with motivation, company’s culture and leading of employees in construction companies. The theoretical part includes basic information about motivation and its theories and practise. The practical part handles with a present situation in two construction companies. Based on previous hypothesis and questionnaire, which was prepared by me, new processes were suggested. These new suggestions use for a future improvement in motivation and company’s culture.

Retrofit of heating system in a family house
Doležel, Pavel ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the solid-fuel fired furnaces, complying with the new emission legislation, and their application in central heating. The introductory part of the thesis focuses on the theory of solid fuels combustion, pertinent legislation, and various designs of solid-fuel fired furnaces. The main part of the thesis deals with the design of a central heating system for a townhouse with a solid-fuel fired furnace as the primary heat source for central heating. A roof-mounted PV system was considered for solar-assisted domestic hot water heating. The energy performance of the house was evaluated with the use of the degree-day method and also with a detailed computer simulation in TRNSYS. As an appendix, the thesis includes the detailed engineering calculations and the engineering drawings and diagrams of the central heating system.
Costs Calculation for Operation of Building Site Accesories
Mlčoch, Ondřej ; Doležel, Pavel (referee) ; Nový, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part I define the project and project management structures. Further characterize the site equipment,- its function, structure and design. I also focus on the possibility of financing the construction site. In the practical part I will present the project construction site, its parts and describe the method of financing.
Design of ventilation system in apartment
Doležel, Pavel ; Malý, Milan (referee) ; Pech, Ondřej (advisor)
Topic of bachelor thesis is aimed to solving of ventilation with heat recovery in flats. Introduction is deals with analysis of current ventilation units and attachments specified for this purposes. Next chapters are devoted to design different options of units, pipes systems and kinds of regulations for assigned flat. In last part of work are evaluated costs invested to instalation, maintanance and running of used units. At the end of the work are put drawings of individual solvings including bill of materials.
Current methods for geolocation of Internet hosts
Doležel, Pavel ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Balej, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with IP geolocation, which means the estimation of geographical location of unknown host in the Internet. The aim of my thesis was to make a delay measurement in PlanetLab Network and then with the use of GeoPing technique estimate the real location of the target. The main part of this work is focused on several different delay-based methods, especially GeoPing which employs „Nearest Neighbor in Delay Space“ algorithm in order to exploit the relationship between network delay and geographic location. Base ground for GeoPing is a database of the machines at known location. This database is composed of 9 probe machines, 260 hosts is used like a landmarks and targets. Estimation of unknown geographical location was done on 60 hosts.
Design of manipulator for TEM
Melichárek, Václav ; Doležel, Pavel (referee) ; Mach, Jindřich (advisor)
The topic of this master’s thesis is the design of a sample manipulator for TEM. Regarding which the segment of the sample manipulator used to move the sample in the direction of the x-axis (so-called x-stage) was designed. The introductory theoretical part is concerned with a brief description of transmission electron microscopy focused on the imaging methods used in TEM and the procedures of preparing and loading TEM samples. The theoretical part follows with the design of precise mechanisms, especially with respect to the inaccuracies of their operation and the technological aspect of the design. In the practical part, a detailed analysis of the design of the x-stage is presented. Kinematics and dynamics of the mechanism is analyzed in depth, following with the description of the overall design of the mechanism and some of its parts in detail.
Information complexity of strategic voting
Palguta, Ján ; Turnovec, František (advisor) ; Doležel, Pavel (referee)
This thesis in political economy considers the concept of strategic optimisation of voting behaviour under imperfect information. Under strategic voting we understand an act of voting for other than voter s best preferred (order of) alternatives. Motivation for this thesis comes from the empirically witnessed fact that a substantial portion of the electorate votes for their second or third best preferred alternatives, seeing that their most preferred alternatives face in expectation low probabilities of voting success. At other instances, the voters vote strategically with the intentions of strengthening the coalitional partners to their best choices or to weaken the coalitional partners of the undesired parties. Despite to the evident individual rationality of the strategic voting, strategic voting is typically socially suboptimal. Strategic voting leads to social choices that do not reflect the truthful preferences of the public. Via a series of computation-based simulations the thesis studies the relative vulnerability of the most common voting procedures to strategic manipulation. The thesis categorizes these voting procedures by their degree of susceptibility to voting manipulation. By standard econometric techniques it confirms that strategic voting is most threatening in small groups,...
Efficiency of Regulation on Spanish Housing Market
Hejlová, Hana ; Hlaváček, Michal (advisor) ; Doležel, Pavel (referee)
Covering reciprocal and mutually reinforcing relations between business, housing and credit cycles, the thesis assesses the Spanish housing market in its wider circumstances. With use of several conceptual notes on demand for housing, dynamic path of the house prices in Spain may be explained based on the difference in how these structural components react on changes in financial and macroeconomic environment. As a result of controlling for match of demand and supply in both timely and spatial manner empirically, expectations were included to explain the subsequent volume of housing traded on the market and simple microeconomic decision making model taking into account taxes was derived to assess the role favourable incentives might have played on fuelling the house price cycle in Spain. Next, existence of the reciprocal relations suggested by the theory discussed was confirmed empirically only during the house price upturn and asymmetry in speed of downward adjustment was found in the opposite case, pointing out at the redistribution effect abrupt changes in house prices have in time. The results derived finally allowed to assess possibilities of better employment of anti cyclical regulatory tools towards eliminating mutually enforcing powers between the cycles and avoiding both financial and...
