Sleep hygiene of students of Charles University FPES
Beranová, Tereza ; Majorová, Simona (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Sleep Hygiene of Students of Charles University FPES Objectives: The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out to what extent students of bachelor's programs at Charles University FPES (Faculty of Physical Education and Sport) adhere to the principles of sleep hygiene. Methods: I used the poll method for data collection for the practical part of the bachelor's thesis. The poll of my own design was created via Google Forms. The data were converted to the Microsoft Excel 2010. The basic procedures of descriptive statistics were applied to process the data. The research was focused on a group of students of full-time bachelor's programs at Charles University FPES. Results: The poll results showed that most students only partially follow sleep hygiene. Only 12 (10.3 %) students out of 116 (100 %) participators adhere to almost all recommended sleep hygiene principles. For the rest of the students, it was recommended to eliminate negative factors affecting sleep. Keywords: sleep, insomnia, sleep disorders, regeneration, addictive substances, circadian rhythm, EEG
Alluminium complexes for biomedical applications
Beranová, Tereza ; Kubíček, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Havlíček, David (referee)
The aim of this work was to prepare ligands of macrocycle TACN with aminophosphinate pendant arms. Two ligands were prepared and fully characterized. A complex of aluminium ion was synthesized with one of the ligand. The complex was used for studying a fluoride coordination by a fluoride ion selective electrode. Key words: macrocyclic complex, positron emission tomography, phosphinic acid
TACN derivatives bearing aminophosphinate pendant arms
Beranová, Tereza ; Kubíček, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Němec, Ivan (referee)
The aim of this work was studying of the coordination properties of TACN macrocyclic derivatives with aminophosphinate pendant arms. Two ligands were prepared, one with two pendant arms NODPam and one with three pendant arms NOTPam. Because of degradation of ligand NODPam during its synthesis, only the ligand NOTPam was studied further. Acid-base properties of ligand and termodynamic stability of aluminium and gallium complexes were studied. Formation and disociation studies were performed with the complexes. Coordination of fluoride ions to aluminium complex was studied using ion selective fluoride electrode. Finally coordination of complex AlFx with ligand NOTPam was studied using 19F and 27Al NMR spectroscopy. Selected experiments were made also with ligand NOTA. Key words: macrocyclic complexes, positron emission tomography, phosphinic acids

Title: Dog training for the Mountain Rescue Service Objectives: The aim of this work is to compile a comprehensive set of information related to dog training for the Mountain Rescue Service and to describe other circumstances without which the training would not be successful. Methods: The research method and data and information collection methods were used for the sake of this work as well as the methods of analysis and synthesis of information obtained from the issue of rescue cynology and analysis of statistics on the use of dogs at the Mountain Service in the last six years. Results: The training of a dog for area and avalanche searching for mountain services and other factors that lead to the successful inclusion of a rescue dog in services are described in this work. Keywords: Rescue cynology, dog training, area search, avalanche search, mountain service, integrated rescue system.
Population genetics of bees
Beranová, Tereza ; Straka, Jakub (advisor) ; Munclinger, Pavel (referee)
Bees are one of the most important group of all insect, which plays a significant role in crop pollination. This bachelor thesis is review of articles, which speaks about genetic diversity of Apidae (Apoidea, Anthophila) and factors, which influence genetic diversity of this family. This thesis represents anthhropogenic impact, such as urbanization and fragmentation, and impact, which was not caused by human population, such as, climate change and parasite impact, on bee population. Part of this thesis is created by bee life overview and basic information about population genetics. The aim of this work is finding extent of declining pollinator problem, especially wild bees and also naming the bacic methods, which are used in this work. Key words: population, DNA analysis, threats, conservation genetics, bees, biogeography
Position and activities of the Czech Bar Chamber
Beranová, Tereza ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor) ; Millerová, Ivana (referee)
- Position and activities of the Czech Bar Chamber The topic of my thesis is "Position and activities of the Czech Bar Chamber". The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the role, importance and functioning of the professional chamber which associates over of 12 000 attorneys. I have chosen this particular topic as I think the available literature dealing with professional chambers, particularly the Czech Bar Association (hereinafter CBA) is not up-to- date and does not comprehensively cover the current status of this institution. In addition to the descriptive passages the thesis includes statistical data analysis, reflections on the current state of the CBA and its possible transformation. The thesis is composed of five chapters; the first chapter is a brief introduction to the issue of self-government. It covers what this term means, explains the dividing of self- government and focuses on describing the related terms. The second chapter provides an insight into the history of attorney self-government. Its formation and development is presented including the production of relevant legislation from the late 19th century through the period of the first Republic of Czechoslovakia, to the era of the destructive socialist regime until the post-revolutionary renaissance of freedom of advocacy. The key...
