Title of doctoral thesis: In vitro study of interactions of radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies with epidermal growth factor receptor Various types of cancer are characterized by overexpression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) compared to normal tissue. Anti-EGFR antibodies utilize this phenomenon to treat certain oncological diseases. Intensively studied field is verifing of possibility to increase usability of these antibodies by incorporating suitable radionuclides into thiers structures, results can serve in radioimmunodiagnosis or radioimmunotherapy of mentioned malignities. Despite the fact that EGFR recepor and his signaling intracelluar pahtway is object of intense research, there is a lack of knowledge in the area of factors, which can significantly affect binding of radiolabeled antibodies to EGFR in vitro. The effects of social media use on the values of teenagers

The socialization process through which we become part of society and form our own subjective personality has been accompanied by various changes over the generations, influenced by the technological advances of the time. Today's generation is coming into a world that is globally surrounded by the internet and the use of social media as an adjunct to socializing and leisure. Our surroundings have the biggest influence on our development, in our teens it is family, school and peers, we acquire our values through socialization. Today's generation of teens have embraced social media as one of their primary sources of socialization, using social media to maintain and form relationships, to learn about world events, to experiment and to form their own conception of their identity. In this paper, I aim to bring together findings from current studies that focus on the specific effects of social media use on adolescents and their values. Design of Modernization of Bohuslavice nad Vláří Railway Station

The focus of the thesis is to design a modernization of the Bohuslavice nad Vláří train station. The reconstruction design includes an adjustment of the station head and the geometrical layout of the track for an increase of the track speed to the highest possible value. The design also contains a renewal of the railway superstructure and the structure of the sleeper subsoil, new drainage and platforms. The designed layout ensures a safe access for people with reduced mobility.

Design of Optimization of Track Section Bylnice - Vlárský Průsmyk

The focus of the thesis is to design a optimization of the geometrical layout of the track for an increase of the track speed to the highest possible value and a reconstruction of the permanent way superstructure between railway stations Bylnice - Vlárský Průsmyk. The work also includes a design of sleeper subsoil, renewal of the drainage and a design of the construction technology and procedures. Necessary view triangles will be added for unsecured level crossings.

Koncept bezpečnosti a zabezpečení jaderných elektráren je složitý. Bezpečný provoz jaderných elektráren má zásadní význam pro spolehlivou a neškodnou výrobu elektřiny. Nehoda spojená s tímto typem zařízení by mohla mít negativní dopad na zdraví lidí, volně žijících zvířat, a mohla by způsobit znečištění životního prostředí. Cílem této bakalářské práce je vymezit koncept bezpečnosti a zabezpečení jaderných elektráren a prodiskutovat způsoby prevence jaderné katastrofy. Teoretická část práce se zabývá vymezením základních provozních principů jaderných elektráren. Dále jsou diskutována a ilustrována bezpečnostní a zabezpečovací opatření. Následně je zkoumán dopad jaderných elektráren na životní prostředí za běžného provozu. V závěru jsou popsány důsledky selhání bezpečnostních a zabezpečovacích opatření na historických příkladech. Praktická část práce, která byla realizována prostřednictvím online dotazníkového šetření, se zabývá mírou povědomí veřejnosti o bezpečnosti jaderných elektráren a jejich dopadu na životní prostředí.

Bird and Mammal Taxidermy

This thesis deals with the preparation of dermoplastic materials of birds and mammals. They are described in detail specific methods of preparation from the collection of material to its final treatment. The first section summarizes the theoretical knowledge concerning preparation of dermoplastic models and osteological material. The second part is dedicated to knowledge survey of high school and primary school students concerning recognition of birds and mammals dermoplastic models. Vascular Calcification and Bone Demineralization in Patiens with Chronic Renal Failure

Background: Patients treated with chronic dialysis show extreme mortality, particularly due to cardiovascular disease. Renal failure is associated with different risk factors of cardiovascular complications than those defined for non-renal population. One of these factors, currently considered most important, are vascular calcifications. At the same time, patients on dialysis regularly suffer from derrangements of calcium-phosphate metabolism, including skeletal demineralization. As a consequence, both incidence and prevalence of bone fractures are high. Aims: This study therefore investigates vascular calcifications and skeletal demineralization, their clinical implications and associations in patients treated with long-term dialysis. Methods: Two groups of patients were examined in a prospective manner (follow-up > 1 year); 32 patients treated with peritoneal dialysis and 72 treated with regular hemdodialysis. Treatment parameters and biochemical markers of calcium-phosphate metabolism were monitored throughout the study. Bone mineral density of lumbar spine (together with vertebral fractures) as well as coronary artery, valvular and aortic calcifcations were determined repeatedly.
