Use of supervision as a professional support for nurses in MNUL

The thesis is focused on exploring the needs and options for supporting non-medical workers at health care environment (namely Masaryk Hospital in Usti nad Labem), particularly in the form of supervision. Theoretical part describes the role of nursing; all factors decreasing her/his job satisfaction, risks associated with the role of helping and supervision, as one of the forms of professional support having an impact on job satisfaction. The practical part, using questionnaire survey, examines the factors affecting the job satisfaction and the presence of favorable conditions for the implementation of supervision. In subsequent discussions with the leadership of the hospital about the utilization of supervision as a professional support to nurses, the author drew up a series of concrete proposals ready to be used in Masaryk Hospital, which can be found at the empirical part.

This thesis focuses on the reconstruction of the history of supervision in the implementation of the Diocesan Charity of Brno (hereinafter DCHB) in terms of contracting supervision, supervisors asupervidantů who have ever works or work. Diplomová práce Zvyšování a prohlubování kvalifikace sociálních pracovníků ve veřejné správě ČR Abstract This thesis deals with the issue of human resources development in the Czech public administration. It focuses primarily on upgrading and improving of social workers' qualification. It contains a summary of the relevant laws and their influence on this field. It also describes the current trends and their application in the public administration both at a statewide level and at one concrete social department. The basis of the practical part of this thesis is a cycle of systematic training. It includes the findings based on the analysis of the documents that are applied at the mentioned department as regards this issue, interviews with the staff and focus groups they attended.The result is partly an advice how to launch the cycle of systematic training at the discussed department, partly general advice for all workers, who are interested in training development in their workplaces.
The Introduction of the Process of an Individual Planning of Social Care in a Senior's House

The theme of the diploma thesis presented is the implementation of individual planning process in the elderly homes' social care. The process is set in the legislature of the social services of the Czech Republic, which has met several complex changes. The thesis contains a strategic plan how to implement such process in an institute. In the research part there has been described how successful the selected stuff were in the individual planning process implementing. Qualitative methods of research were used to observe how stuff got through the individual planning process and how their approach and behaviour developed. Furthermore the questionnaires were used to observe the impact on users' contentment before and after the individual planning process implementing. In the research the qualitative as well as quantitative research methods were applied. The research has brought in suggestions for creation of a methodology for individual planning process in an organization. The Care of the Holocaust Survivors and its Specifics

The master's thesis called The Care of the Holocaust Survivors and its Specifics is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is based on a premise that the specifics of the Holocaust survivors' care have three resources: the Holocaust trauma, the age of the elderly survivors, and Judaism. This part of the thesis discusses the Holocaust aspects and its impacts on the psyche of the survived victims, especially focusing on post-traumatic stress disorder as well as the consequences for the next generation, the children of survived Jews. Moreover, the following issues are examined: Judaism and the community life, the system of the special care of those survived, with regard to social and psychological services. The next chapter concentrates on the specification of this care differences and also of the elderly needs. The second, practical part of the thesis is based on the qualitative research conducted by the method of interviews with experts working with the target group of the survivors. The half- structured interviews imply that the survivors form a group of clients whose needs are partly different from the common elderly population and for whom the care reacting to their needs is preferable by most experts. Supervision of An Organization as The Tool for Development and Change

Masters thesis based on extensive research on different forms of supervision organizations in seven organizations providing social services to prevent, try to define this type of supervision and generalize some of his characters. Data on supervision in the organization was obtained by questionnaire survey and interviews with managers of the organization. As part of the research was further investigated by questionnaire survey of participating organizations, culture and searched for possible relationship between the implementation the supervision organization and levels of organizational culture. Empirical and theoretical part of this thesis is directed to the final discussion on supervision in the organization as an instrument of management development and change in organizations. The main topic of my diploma work called "Videotraining of interactions (VTI/VHT/VGI) as a support for a change in an organization" is an application of VTI for a development of communicational skills of staff in a residential service for adult people with learning disabilities. The work clarifies fundamentals, reasons and circumstances that lead to establishing VTI (VTH/VGI) in the organization and on video records proofs the success of the process.
Practical training for student of social work colleges

The aim of the diploma is organization mapping of practical training experience and supervision on the social work colleges. In the opening part I talk about definition of social work and conditions of practise of this profession as education, personality conditions and sequential lifelong learning. After that I concretize a practical part of studying which includes special seminars and causuistic seminars, practical training experiences and supervisions. The practical part of diploma contains a research, which is consisted to quantitative research (question - form) and qualitative research (group interview and individual interviews). The research was perfomed on stundents and teachers of choosen colleges whose aim was to get opinions on organising of the practical training of study. In fine of this diploma I analyse obtained data and than I make a methodical plan for organising of practical experiences and supervision to college.
Do brothers and sisters of siblings with intelectual disability need the support of social work?

This thesis explores the experience and support needs of siblings with a brother or sister with intellectual disability. Through review of what is a quite limited literature and from original qualitative research, involving interviews with siblings, the author examines their social reality, focusing especially on their relationships with their disabled brother or sister and with the wider society. Particular attention is given to identifying to what extent the siblings' lives are influenced by the intellectual disability of their brother or sister. Drawing on the findings of this work, the thesis considers how siblings with intellectually disabled brothers or sisters might get systematic support through social work. The research generates several hypotheses for further research.
Competence model and further education of job advisers at the job centers

This dissertation deals with consulting service for selection of occupation at employment offices in the Czech republic. It briefly introduces the consultancy in this field, its characteristics, history, progression and institutional fixture. It compares two systems: - consultancy for occupation selection in the education system legislative framework in this field, qualification requirements imposed to advisers and possibilities of their next education - consultancy for selection of occupation in theMinistry of Labour and Social Affairs department- at employment offices under searching the same attributes. It observes, in exploratory part, what is the qualification structure of advisers for occupation selection at employment offices in the Czech republic, and what are chances of their next education and support. On the basis of information obtained in theoretical part of the work and by the research, there are three basic circuits of changes suggested: - changes for occupation selection - proposal of system for control and professional growth of advisers - proposal of education for the officials in the field of personal management
