Rašovský, Matěj ; Kočí, Jana (advisor) ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (referee)
This diploma thesis Healthy lifestyle of pupils of the second grade of selected Prague primary school was prepared with the aim of finding out the healthy lifestyle of the pupils of the given group that is, pupils of the second grade of the Prague school. The standard CINDI Health Monitor method was used for this finding, thanks to which it is possible to compare healthy people's lifestyles across age groups. This method includes a standard set of questions to which probands answer dichotomously or yes-no. Our research has been supplemented by questions specific to our age group. These questions were evaluated by the percentage of positive answers and compared with previous surveys across age groups. Specifically with a group of students and adults over the age of 25. In terms of statistics, a correlate was also used, which better captured the relationship between the given age groups. Another goal of this work was to establish recommendations for the recovery of the health style of students who were the subject of this work, based on the intersection of the results with theoretical background. The selected group of pupils has a good health style, which may be due to the location of the school and also its culture, as there are many sports students. The main recommendation for pupils is to limit...
Motor skills and elementary school children depending on their lifestyle
Peroutka, Michal ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Kočí, Jana (referee)
My diploma thesis consists of a theoretical part, which deals with fine motor skills, capabilities and motor learning. I am dedicating myself to divide motor capabilities and skills into separate parts and their progress, particularly the progress of an individual. It also deals with the influence and significance of physical activities to an individual's health and I am also defining the physical activities at a primary school. The following part of my diploma thesis contains a short text about testing motor skills at a primary school. Another part of my diploma thesis is a research, in which the level of movement skills of specific students of the primary school is tested by a test battery UNIFITTEST (6-60), and their lifestyles are questioned in questionnaires. I ask investigative questions and hypotheses. This part also contains tables with acquired results, data processing in graphs and results of questionnaires of chosen participants. I compare the results with statistical tables for boys and girls of the age. The last part of the diploma thesis contains a practical part which explains and answers questions from the research and it also validates or disproves said supposals. We can find an analysis, a validation and how results can be used in pedagogical practice, because I currently teach...
Healthy nutrition teaching at primary schools
Hojdekrová, Denisa ; Kočí, Jana (advisor) ; Váchová, Alena (referee)
The work aims to map the curriculum of nutrition and its anchoring in educational programs and through a questionnaire survey to find out whether the content of the curriculum is sufficiently developed for primary school teachers, i.e. whether it is effective in their practice. The theoretical part summarizes the information concerning the nutrition of children of younger school age, focusing mainly on the principles of proper nutrition, building healthy eating habits, which significantly contribute to their future health and may have a preventive character from development of diseases. One of the many possible ways of prevention is teaching nutrition in primary schools with the help of appropriate teaching methods, activities, and the use of nutritional lecture programs, which this work mentions. The practical part contains a questionnaire survey, in which it examines the relationship of teachers to the teaching of nutrition, focusing mainly on their views on the anchoring of the curriculum in educational programs. The resulting data are recorded in tables and graphs, which are accompanied by a commentary. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, verified website was recommended, from which teachers can draw methodological material. These materials were the inspiration for the creation of...

Effect of urban gradient on composition of bat communities in Central European landscapes.
Kočí, Jakub ; Lučan, Radek (advisor) ; Andreas, Michal (referee)
Bats (Chiroptera) are usually considered as a group greatly endangered by destructing their habitats through the human activity. However, a significant part of bat species at the central Europe use human buildings as shelters, moreover the natural shelters are marginal or unknown in several species. Considering the linkage of the great part of our bat species to the fragmented area and in connection with a long term human influence on the central european landscape we ask whether at least part of our species see human activity through providing proper shelters as positive. Based on the analysis of landscape structure and ruggedness effect on density, diversity and population structure of bat assamblages acquired by standardized mist net captures located in lowlands (elevations below 500 m) of Czech Republic (204 localities, 3585 bats, 22 bat species), we found that even though most of reactions were species specific and few species seemed to be positively associated with urban environments, most of the bat species rely on the broad-leaved forest cover and other natural habitats such as water bodies. The most significant factor influencing sexual segregation for bats was ruggedness of surrounding landscape. Keywords: Bats, Chiroptera, fragmentation, Europe, temperate zone

Kočí, Jana ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Dohnal, Karel (referee) ; Fialová, Ludmila (referee)
Obesity and the number overweight of children are currently major global issues. According to the Regional Office for Europe (2006) obesity has risen three times over the last two decades worldwide. The attention is currently focused on health promotion and disease prevention among the population through comprehensive health education starting in the early age of individuals, aimed to slow down the increasing incidence of obesity and related health issues. This thesis discusses the pedagogical aspects of health, specifically the options on how to shape nutritional habits of elementary and middle school students and how to systematically deepen the required knowledge about healthy nutrition by implementation of nutrition education programs. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships between dietary habits and healthy nutrition knowledge of grade nine students in elementary schools from the South Bohemian region in Czech Republic. A validated Nutritional survey and Nutritional knowledge quiz were designed to determine the relationship between knowledge and behavior of grade nine students from South Bohemia elementary schools. The validity of the Nutritional survey and the Nutritional knowledge quiz were tested using analytical analysis of all survey and test items and examining...
