Outdoor Activities at secondary schools in Mladá Boleslav from the view of students

Title: Outdoor activities in selected secondary schools in Mladá Boleslav Aim: The aim was to create a comprehensive summary of sport courses organized by secondary schools as a part of compulsory education and to find out students' true opinion of these courses, using the feedback based on executed activities. Method: The datas were collected using interviews and checklists which contained opened,closed and scaled questions. These datas were interpreted considering graphs and led into conclusions. Results: Sport courses'structure is mostly concieved in way that educatiors don't care about preparation properly, they don't take advantage of natural environment but students showed appreciation to running of courses, though. Title: Students' experience with outdoor activities in selected secondary schools in Most district. Aim: The aim of my master thesis was to survey and discover students' experience with outdoor acitivities and their possible interest in these acitivities at selected high schools in Most district. Method: All needed data were collected by questionnaires. Questionnaires were delivered to selected high schools in the Most district. From the questionnaires we were able to determine if students had experience with outdoor activities and which activities they want to try. Obtained data were statistically processed in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and interpreted in graphical and word form. Results: We have found that students generally have a high interest in outdoor activities. The activity which students are most interested in is paintball. Students at school recieve experience with outdoor activities especially in courses, especially in traditional activities, such as various types of turistika, skiing and camping. After previous experience students want to repeat cycling, camping and downhill skiing. Motivation in mountain-climbing: analysis of motivation in the time Objectives: Based on the literature study to collect knowledge about motivation (basic definition, hierarchy of needs, flow theory, motivational models), narrative psychology, interview management. The main objective is the narrative content-categorical analysis of the development in motivation by the time continuity and interpretation of the interviews with the climbers. Methods: Collected interviews are analyzed by narrative content-categorical analysis. We used the semi-open funnel-type interview, which was decoded and interpreted after the transcription. Motivation is observed in three periods (first motive for sport climbing, the first motive for mountaineering and current mountaineering motive). Each motive is descriptively divided in several major categories (motive: nature / environment, overcoming ourselves, performance, new experiences, social needs, internal "mysterious" power, experience, sport /exercise, adventure). The second part of the analysis was leaded in more theoretical way. We tried to confirm that the climbers are in flow during climbing. Find the sentences, which support the theory of flow. Title: The significance of activities of "The leisure time centre for children and youth" for children from the 7th classes of primary schools in Prague 3. Goals: The aim is to find out, how much children from Prague 3 participate on holiday activities organized by "The leisure time centre for children and youth". We are interested in knowledge, what children have or not have about these possibilities. We are interested in activities which children enjoy and which of them not. We also want to find out if children have a view of offered services, if they actively take a part and what influences them during choose between these activities. Methods: We distributed questionnaires to pupils from the seventh classes in selected primary schools in Prague 3. We used appropriate statistics methods for treatment. Results: More than 50% of children are interested in the offered holiday programmes organized by the leisure time centre for children and youth. Children mostly know that the leisure time centre provides regular leisure activities and organizes summer camps but they have worse overview about other activities, for example about exhibitions or ski courses. Title: Hippotourism Objective: The aim of this thesis is to perform a literature search about relatively new kind of tourism - hippotourism. Specifically, the aim is to explain fundamentals of horse riding, give a insight into the history and present of horse riding, explain the system and methodology of riding trails, purpose of stations, cover how horses should be taken care of and point out what rider needs to arrange before setting off for the journey. Resources: I gathered the information mainly from Czech and foreign literature and I also used online resources. I tried to get as much as possible information about the topic and set it into comprehensible and easy to follow form Conclusion: While gathering information, I was surprised how very few people are engaged in horse riding with their works. There are only a few authors and publications that address this topic. Since it's inception horse riding has slowly but successfully developed. Title: Description of Geocaching with the example of the area Divoka Sarka Aim: The aim of this thesis is to perform a literature search about the game Geocaching, give basic information for beginners and advanced player too from available resources in the Czech and foreign literature. Then bring Geocaching to the example of the Divoká Šárka. Results: The result of processing information retrieval work, a cluster of large amounts of data on the Geocaching game. Czech and foreign literature provided me the information necessary to explain Geocaching words, tracing the historical sources and learning the rules of the game. Furthermore, to obtain relevant records of Nature Reserve Divoká Šárka and caches in this area. Outdoor activities in children's homes and institutes

Title: Outdoor activities in institutional care Aim of the thesis: The aim of this work is to chart oudoor activites in institutional care in Liberec region. As well as to determine the types of outdoor activites and the time spent by doing these activities in nature. Methodology of research: I used the questionnaire method for this reasearch. Respondents were given questionnaires with open and closed questions concerning the topic. The data were processed quantitatively and were set out into pie charts. Results: In the questionnaire, I found out that educators believe that outdoor activities are suitable for children from institutional care. They are not only a good tool for making new contacts, but especially as a tool for increasing children's responsibility and self-knowledge. Most of the outdoor activities are used in the form of games or walks in nature. Activities that are least accessible are climbing and swimming. Top children's activity is playing on the computer and walks with friends. Playing games and collecting wild fruits are the most enjoyable outdoor activities for children. Outdoor activities bring mainly joy, fun and new experience to children. They think that they will get to know better their friends and strengthen the confidence among them during outdoor activities. Title: Offer of Outdoor Sport Courses for the 2nd Grade of Chosen Basic Schools in Liberec Region Aim: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is the description, providing of deeper details and evaluation of recent offer of sport courses in a field of education and outdoor activities taught at basic schools. Method: All data used in practical part of this bachelor's work were collected using direct questioning method. To collect the information, questionnaires and semi- structured interviews were used. Questionnaires were addressed to eitght- and nine-grade students of selected basic schools and were compiled of six closed questions. The semi-structured interview was conducted with managing directors of all chosen basic schools. It was compiled out of twelve mostly opened questions. Collected data were statistically processed and graphically and or orally presented. Results: Information collected either by using the semi- structured interview with basic schools managing directors or questionnaires addressed to eight and nine grade students assured the original expectations. Difference between both evaluated schools from the sport courses perspective is quite significant, mainly because of its offer. This conclusion has an impact to students satisfaction in both schools. Motivation for ski-touring

Title: Motivation to Ski-touring Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to broaden the knowledge of ski-tourers' motivation for ski-touring in the mountains. We would like briefly describe who ski-tourers are, why do they engage in such an activity and what are their reasons, motives and involvement in ski-touring. Furthermore, we are trying to find out and interpret the differences amongst different ski-tourers' groups based on various aspects. Methods: In this thesis we have used a questionnaire as a data collection method. The results were processed in Open Office programme. Results: All the respondents have stated "being in nature" as the most common motive for ski-touring. Other common motives were "joy and freedom" that this sport brings them. Most respondents are also motivated by "meeting friends", "running away from "ordinary life", "sport achievements", "discovering new things", "challenge" and "adrenaline and excitement". We have also discovered that 95, 2% of respondents go to the Czech mountains. Nearly half of respondents (45,1%) spend more than 10 days per season in this mountains. 77,1% of respondents go abroad for ski-touring and 21,9% of respondents spend in this mountains more than 10 days per season.
