Evaluation of the McKenzie Method in the Treatment of Postural Syndrome using Computer Kinesiology

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to evaluate the treatment in the diagnosis of the postural syndrome using McKenzie method. In the theoretical part are mentioned influences on the corrext body posture. Also it is explained, what the postural syndome is, what the cause of pain of this syndrome is and how the therapy looks like. In the practical part is studied 6 probands with this diagnosis. For evaluation was used subjective assesment of the probands and the diagnostic part of the expert and information system of Computer Kinesiology. There was improvement in the output examination of 5 probands in the segment L5 and improvement in the output examination of 4 probands in the segment L4. All probands subjectively evaluate the therapy positively.

Title: Timely diagnosis of motor function in children with intrauterine growth retardation and possibilities for its influencing with the aid of physiotherapeutic methods This dissertation focuses on the examination of children with locomotive coordination disorder that were born with the risk of intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) in their case history. This work calls attention to notable postural deviations in the 5 th week of life of children that affect their motor development in the first year of life and could be a risk indicator for the emergence of postural deviations typical for children's defective posture (VDT). Aim: to confirm the methodological practice when assessing qualitative indicators of the most serious deviations of locomotive manifestations from physiological development of movement in the 5 th week of a child's life with the aid of developmental kinesiology. To confirm the effectivity of physiotherapeutic methods applied at an early age of the neonate. Spa in the Czech Republic With a focus on spa Jeseník, Luhačovice, Třeboň and Františkovy Lázně As the subject of my work I chose the Czech Republic spa. I look at the spa environment as a social phenomenon that affects many areas of social life and has a great tradition in Czech culture. With its unique atmosphere and the composition of the clients who visit them, they are more than just popular places by tourists or health facilities but they have also influence on the life of the living there and spa visitors. The work is intended to serve as a general base that could be suitable for further exploration of this area, and therefore tries to cover as many areas of the issue as possible. I try to work with examples from history to point out the role of the spa in the past and how they gradually transformed into what they are today. I also look at services that are offered at the spa and the structure of clients who come to the spa. My field of interest was also the formation of spa towns and life in them. This area is distinguished from others for a large number of changing spa clients. Physiotherapy of scoliosis

This bachelor thesis deals with a question of skoliosis as a whole, from its etiology, diagnosis to therapy. Scoliosis is a pathological curvature of the spine, which eventuality may not have an effect on the musculoskeletal system, but also on the cardiopulmonary system. It is therefore necessary not only its early diagnosis but also therapy with a strictly individual approach to the patient. The goal of this thesis was to explore the possibilities of kinesiotherapy.

Target: To summarize the knowledge about haemophilia, its clinical symptoms, manifestations of the locomotive apparatus and an overview of treatment possibilities. To search in the literature about appropriate physiotherapy for patients with haemophilia and to process them into a coherent overview. Method: To summarized information about haemophilia and an overview of physiotherapeutic treatment options via literature review. Conclusion: The obtained information shows the positive benefits of physiotherapy for patients with haemophilia as a preventive and curative therapy.

Verification of the effect of spiral stabilization on posture

The aim of this thesis was to verificate the effect of spiral stabilization on posture. Changes in motion system were monitored for group of 21 volunteers who have been practicing the basic set of twelve exercises with "SM system for treatment and prevention of back pain" at least three times a week and at least for two months. The verification of the effect of spiral stabilization on posture has been done by measuring difference in the amount of burden put on each leg on two scales, by diagnostic and evaluation part of the expert and information systém Computer Kinesiology and by evaluation of relaxed stance from the side view. On the chosen set of probands it was verified that the regular practice of twelve basic exercises with SM system has a positive impact on improving posture and musculoskeletal functions.

Verification of the effect of spiral stabilisation on plantar arch

In the theoretical part findings about anatomy, kinesiology and foot function in standing position and gait cycle are summarized. There are also described the theoretical foundations of the SM-system method. The practical part includes a study that was designed to verify the effect on plantar arch during standing and walking. The evaluation was conducted on 2 groups of volunteers - research group counts 20 subjects, and the control group, which counts eight subjects. The evaluation of plantar arch was carried out on the baropodometer. Examination of standing on the baropodometer did not show significant deviations in the state of plantar arch in the research group nor in the control group. Examination of walking on the baropodometer showed a greater increase of plantar arch in the research group, compared with the control group.
