Robotic Soccer
Suchý, Václav ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work describes a design of an agent model for robotic soccer based on the DEVS formalism. There is also presented a design of own DEVS simulator (based on classic DEVS simulator) for parallel realtime simulations. Functionality of the simulator and the model is shown on an example of a soccer client for RoboCup Soccer Server. Based on this client, there is also presented a design of a library for easier creation of soccer clients for RoboCup.
Simulation and Design of Intelligent Agents
Šperka, Svatopluk ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
Conventional method of development which repeats phases of design, implementation and testing is not adequate for systems like intelligent agents for which complex behavior is required but specification is unclear at the beginning of development process. Incremental design of agent's model during simulation seems more suitable for it enables direct feedback in behavioral changes of a system. This interactivity speeds up development process and helps to uncover parts of a space of all models to designer - thanks to new knowledge acquired during simulation. This thesis aims to provide comparison of suitability of two agent architectures and respective platforms in context of SmallDEVS modeling and simulation framework for this methodology of development. First approach is reactive and decentralized subsumption architecture based on DEVS formalism and the second one is PNagent, framework realizing deliberative BDI architecture using Object Oriented Petri Nets.
Development of Platform for Three-Rotor Helicopter
Votava, Martin ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hájek, Josef (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is design and built of platform for three-rotor helicopter development. The helicopter is also known as tricopter. Theoretical part describes principle of tricopter's flight and stabilization. There is also described basics inertial navigation system and sensors which are required for correct functionality. Practical part is dedicated to development of tricopter's frame, schematics diagram, communication between subsystems and stabilization system development. Flight stablization system is base on ATmega128A an using PID Controller. In the end is described testing of developed platform.
Prediction of Multiple Time Series at Stock Market Trading
Palček, Peter ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis comprises of a general approach used to predict the time series, their categorization, basic characteristics and basic statistical methods for their prediction. Neural networks are also mentioned and their categorization with regards to the suitability for prediction of time series. A program for the prediction of the progress of multiple time series in stock market is designed and implemented, and it's based on a model of flexible neuron tree, whose structure is optimized using immune programming and parameters using a modified version of simulated annealing or particle swarm optimization. Firstly, the program is tested on its ability to predict simple time series and then on its ability to predict multiple time series.
Basestation for WSageNt Agent Platform with Using GSM Module
Molák, Josef ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Horáček, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis describes the software and hardware extension of multiagent platform WSageNt to ensure communication between basestation and web interface Control Panel using GSM network. Sensor node FITmote is used as a basestation and modem Teltonika is used as a interface to GSM. The physical interconnection of the devices implementing the newly created bridge to connect different logic voltage levels of their serial interface. Application for basestation was extended to serial communication with modem. This extend provide communication over GSM network to Internet. Application on control server also was modified for TCP/IP communication.
Web Application for Fulltext Search in PDF Documents
Svoboda, Ondřej ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis describes principles of full text search engines, design and implementation of web application for referencing and full text searching in PDF documents. It also contains an overview and comparison with currently available reference management software. There are discussed bibliographic information export possibilities in various citation styles and formats. Final application is written in PHP scripting language and uses MySQL database.
Bayesian Networks Applications
Chaloupka, David ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with possible applications of Bayesian networks. The theoretical part is mainly of mathematical nature. At first, we focus on general probability theory and later we move on to the theory of Bayesian networks and discuss approaches to inference and to model learning while providing explanations of pros and cons of these techniques. The practical part focuses on applications that demand learning a Bayesian network, both in terms of network parameters as well as structure. These applications include general benchmarks, usage of Bayesian networks for knowledge discovery regarding the causes of criminality and exploration of the possibility of using a Bayesian network as a spam filter.
Design of Quadrocopter
Uhlíř, Václav ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hájek, Josef (advisor)
This student paper discusses basic concept of quadrocopter for purpose of academic platform for testing and development. Paper includes basic overview of construction, stabilization and controlling of quadrocopter. As result of this paper is presented concept of quadrocopter and its constructed prototype with included software console for wireless control under Android system.
Detection of the Cars Approaching the Crossroad
Hopjan, Tomáš ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This project deals with monitoring cars approaching the crossroads. Describes various methods of detection and discussing their problems. Primary goal is surveillance during the day in different weather conditions, but method of detection cars during the night and low light is also introduced. The most widely used algorithms are implemented using the OpenCV library. Important part is testing different algorithms and also variety of lighting conditions, camera locations and settings.
Inference in Bayesian Networks
Šimeček, Josef ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with demonstration of various approaches to probabilistic inference in Bayesian networks. Basics of probability theory, introduction to Bayesian networks, methods for Bayesian inference and applications of Bayesian networks are described in theoretical part. Inference techniques are explained and complemented by their algorithm. Techniques are also illustrated on example. Practical part contains implementation description, experiments with demonstration applications and conclusion of the results.
