This bachelor thesis consists of two parts: a translation and its commentary. The translated text, a part of a brochure called Guía Básica de los Sanfermines, was published in Pamplona in 2016 as a tourist guide around the world-famous festival of San Fermín. The original text introduces the readers to the programme of the celebration and to the history of the individual traditions. The text was translated from Spanish into Czech. The commentary covers the analysis of the source text, translation method, typology of the translation problems and their solutions. Information about the respective translation shifts is stated as well.

This bachelor thesis consists of two main parts: practical and theoretical. The practical part contains the Czech translation of the first chapter of the book rEDUvolution (hacer la REVOLUCIÓN en la EDUCACIÓN) written by the Spanish author María Acaso. The first chapter named LO QUE NOSOTROS ENSEÑAMOS NO ES LO QUE LOS ESTUDIANTES APRENDEN was translated from Spanish to Czech. The second part includes the annotated translation which contains translation analysis of the source text, translation procedures employed during translation and description of the specific translation problems and explanation of used solutions. This bachelor thesis consists of two parts: a translation and its subsequent commentary. The two essays, selected for the translation, can be found in a selection of essays by Luis Garcia Montero and Antonia Muñoz Molina ¿Por qué no es útil la literature?, which was published in 1994 in Madrid, as a part of Ediciones Hiperión. They are called La disciplina de la imaginación and Las hogueras sin fuego, by Antonia Muñoz Molina. The essays, set in Spain, are mostly concerned with the relations of culture and education, as well as literature. The text was translated from Spanish into Czech. In the commentary, various translation issues are covered, such as analysis of the source text, translation method, analysis of translation problems and its solutions and typology of translation shifts.

The thesis consists of two parts: practical and theoretical. The practical part contains the translation of one chapter from the book De la vida rural vasca (Vera de Bidasoa) by the Spanish author Julio Caro Baroja. In particular, the chapter that was translated was the second chapter De la niñez al matrimonio situated in the second part of the book. The chapter describes Basque traditions of the mid-20th century, among which descriptions of children's games, typical Basque sport game - pelota, and wedding customs in Vera de Bidasoa and its surroundings could be found. The text was translated from Spanish to Czech. The second part of the thesis, the theoretical one, includes the translation analysis, translation problems encountered while translating and their solutions.

This bachelor's thesis consists of two parts - a translation from Spanish to Czech of selected news reports written by the Peruvian author Mario Vargas Llosa and a translation annotation. The texts were published in the book Diario de Irak, specifically as the first chapter La libertad salvaje and the fifth chapter Frejoles blancos. The translation annotation contains information about the hypothetical translation assignment, translation analysis of the original text, description of methods used during the translation process, analysis of translation problems and reasoning behind the solutions.

(in English): Julio Cortázar is considered as one of the greatest literary figures of Argentina and Latin America of the last century and to him is dedicated this master's thesis, focused on translation of his work into Czech language. First part of the thesis is theoretically based, dealing with biography, creation and style of the author and then moves to figures of his Czech translators, problems arising from translation and perception and development of translations of Cortázar's works in Czech environment. The second part is practically oriented, pursuing the analysis and comparison of translations of specific works - two translations of a story The Pursuer by translators Kamil Uhlíř and Jan Machej and two versions of translation of a novel Hopscotch by Vladimír Medek.

This bachelor thesis consists of two parts: practical and theoretical. The practical part consists of the translation of the introduction and a few chapters from Parques nacionales iberoamericanos II from Spanish to Czech. The book, written by the Spanish author Luis Blas Aritio, follows the first volume from the two-volume series called Parques nacionales iberoamericanos and presents to the reader the natural, and partially also the cultural, wealth of Iberian America through an enumeration and description of the most significant and the most representative national parks that were founded until the end of 1980s. The second, theoretical part of this thesis consists of a translation-oriented text analysis based on Christiane Nord's model, a chapter on the method of translation, a commentary on the translation problems and their solutions and a typology of shifts in the translation. The first part is constituted by the translation from Spanish to Czech of the selected essays written by the Mexican author José Luis Díaz and published in his book El ábaco, la lira y la rosa: las regiones del conocimiento, specifically in the sixth chapter named CIENCIA Y ARTE: LA INTELIGENCIA DE LAS MUSAS. The second part consists of the translation annotation, which is comprised of the translation analysis of the source text, the characterisation of the applied translation procedures, and the description of the specific problems arisen during the translation process, including the explanation of the chosen solutions.
