Štillerová, Aneta ; Froněk, Jan (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis I deal with the cultural influence on communication in firms. The work draws from topics of general intercultural communication, which I then relate to the corporate life. My starting point is the assumption that Czech firms have so far rather been unaware of, neglected or underestimated the cultural influence on the corporate communication. Therefore I focused in particular on the most important and basic topics of intercultural communication. The aim is to provide both managers and employees with enough arguments so as to make them accept the intercultural communication as a relevant topic of the current corporate life and aware of the training needs which would develop the overall communication competence. In the first chapter I deal with the corporate communication, then with the topic of culture and eventually with the intercultural communication in firms. As a specific part I included few results of an inquiry with employees of a Czech branch of German IT company that employs specialist coming from a wide variety of countries. The second chapter is extensive. The reader is introduced to actual topics of intercultural communication, in particular to the cultural influence on our perception and thinking, then to the different communication styles, to cultural differences in...
Communication in organization
Zajíc, Jaroslav ; Štěpánek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
Communication is one of the most discussed themes of today and its significance is ever growing. Most often, communication is divided in verbal and nonverbal. It depends if the content of the communicated message is put across in words or not. Every person uses his or her communication style in the contact with others which is different in each situation. The art of communication is the ground not only in everyday life but also in employment. Every organization is a place where communication happens intensively. It is directed outward, and of course it takes a place inside. Internal communication is the prerequisite of good outer communication. The most important aim of internal communication is to inform its members about internal processes and to get feedback about the functioning of an organization. Communication in an organization proceeds in different directions (e.g. vertically, horizontally, diagonally) and in different ways (e.g. formally and informally). The whole exchange of information takes place with the help of several communication media. They can be divided into personal and medial, according to the information exchange, either face to face or trough the mass media. Manager communication is essential to the whole organization. It influences the general atmosphere in the establishment. The...

Reissová, Alice ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor) ; Eger, Ludvík (referee) ; Beneš, Milan (referee)
Using controlling management we can evaluate the effectiveness of education and, at the same time, manage the whole process, because it provides quantified information and data, based on which managers and personnel managers can respond and amend possible deviations established. This thesis outlines a proposal (methodology) for introducing operational personnel controlling in education and development of employees and the followup evaluation of the effectiveness of the process. Education and development of employees is linked with a number of other personnel activities (also processes), hence its evaluation cannot be separated. There is a very close relationship between Human Resource Development (HRD) and Human Resource Management (HRM), as well as the evaluation of employees as a component personnel activity. We have developed a procedure which introduces controlling management within education and development of employees by creating a modified methodology of employee assessment and the follow-up determination of controlling indices and appropriate scales. To use personnel controlling III corporate practice with success interdisciplinary approach is necessary (andragogy, personnel management, sociology, psychology, statistics, etc.).
