Hájková, Lucie ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Kestřánek, Jan (referee)
1 ABSTRACT In this study we are dealing with problems of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. Vulvovaginal candidiasis is one of the most frequent genital infections. It is hypothesized that 75% of woman experience during their reproductive age at least 1 episode of VVC in their lifetime. RVVC can be defined as four or more attacks of symptomatic vulvovaginal candidiasis in 12 month period. The true incidence of RVVC remains unknown. Estimates over many years suggest that the incidence is approximately 5%, another recent study determined that the incidence is approximately 8% woman during their reproductive age. Our study determined that the incidence is approximately 7,6%. For purpose of this study were made questionnaires, which help to examine possible risk factors of RVVC. Each questionnaire is composed of 17 pages and contains 49 questions. Fulltext of the questionnaire is showed in enclosure. Questionnaire contain 15 heavily-circumscribed questions addressed only to woman, that have experience repeated episodes of vulvovaginal candidiasis. A sample of 199 woman were interviewed, 184 of them completed our questionnaire (92,5%). By evaluation of the questionnaire we have described number of factors, which increase risk of RVVC, these are primarily: diet high in sugar, continuous use of panty-liners in...

Comparison of the novels "I served the king of England" and "The Nazi and the Barber" in the context of the picaresque novel tradition

Phenological observations have a long tradition in the Czech Republic; the first phenological notes were taken in the 18th century. Within the entire phenological observation network of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, 45 plant species can be observed. These include perennial herbs, grass, and ground bushes growing wildly. Some observed species are among the group of so-called allergens, e.g. silver birch (Betula pendula Roth), cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata L.), and meadow foxtail (Alopecurus pratensis L.). In this paper, we evaluated the phenological phase beginning of flowering for two of the aforementioned plants at the Mlýny, Chřibská research site (50°52’N, 14°29’E, 350 m a.s.l.). The aim was to assess which meteorological parameters influence phenological onsets as well as to analyze shifts in phenophase onset dates and temperature trends during 1959–2014. During this period, for B. pendula the average date of beginning of flowering was 28 April with a standard deviation of 10 days and for A. pratensis it was 20 May with a standard deviation of 8 days. The studied species are allergens and their timing and phenological shifting during the spring and their relationship with climate parameters may provide important information for forecasts as part of a pollen warning service.

The Effect of the Great Depression on the Czechoslovak export
Hájková, Laura ; Skřivan, Aleš (advisor) ; Chalupecký, Petr (referee)
The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the effects of the Great Depression on the Czechoslovak export. Its consequences reflected in the thirties, not only in territorial and commodity structure, but also in the trade policy of Czechoslovakia. In my thesis I focus briefly on the foreign trade, which despite the obstacles associated with the newly established state, developer quite satisfactorily. The main section of the thesis is the Czechoslovak export in thirties, where I analyse trade policy and the structure of domestic export. The impetus for the changes in trade policy and actions of the Czechoslovak Government in the thirties was Great Depression that hit the entire world market. These steps should have had a stimulating effect on domestic export, but its impact was at least debatable. Furthermore, the Great Depression caused significant changes not only in the commodity structure, which had to adapt to completely changed demand, but also in the territorial structure, when the interest in non-European markets generally increased.
