Teacher's experience with individualized teaching in distance education

In a time of emergency measures due to the coronavirus pandemic, teachers have been forced to transition into distance education without prior experience and training, thus facing a significant professional challenge. Every teacher has dealt with this change differently and was given the opportunity to reflect their own teaching approach. The main aim of this thesis is to describe how distance education has transformed the approach of various types of teachers to the individual needs of students, in other words, to individualized teaching. In the theoretical part, selected approaches to the typology of teachers and their teaching styles will be described, using available professional publications. The importance of individualization as one of the key principles of current education will be justified. The ways in which a primary school teacher can respond to the individual needs of pupils in teaching will be summarized. The characteristic features of distance education, its advantages and limits will be described. In the practical part of the thesis, teacher's approaches to individualization in in- person and distance education will be mapped through qualitative research, in the form of a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. Evalution and self-evulation of students in primary schools.

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation and self-evaluation of pupils at primary school with a special focus on evaluation in distance learning. The theoretical part uses scientific literature to define the concept of school evaluation of students. It analyzes various types and forms of valuation as well as their impact on the pupil and his or her motivation for further schoolwork. Special attention is focused on the self-evaluation of younger school-age pupils and on the ability of these pupils to evaluate their school performance. It reflects the development of student self-evaluation since 1989. This thesis also indicates to the advantages and disadvantages associated with this method of evaluation and presents various strategies by which a teacher can motivate students to self-assess and lead the students to quality self- reflection. The empirical part has the character of mixed research. It monitors how pupils in selected schools are assessed during distance learning and whether they are guided to self- assessment. Diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem "závěrečných bakalářských prací žáků 5. tříd" na základní škole v kontextu badatelsky orientovaného vyučování. Práce si klade za cíl popsat celý proces vzniku takovéto závěrečné práce a popsat jeho souvislosti s badatelsky orientovaným vyučováním a rozvojem klíčových kompetencí. Autor v teoretické části vysvětluje jednotlivé kroky badatelsky orientovaného vyučování, definuje klíčové kompetence a přibližuje problematiku psaní a čtení odborného textu. V praktické části v kontextu badatelsky orientovaného vyučování pak analyzuje jednotlivé fáze procesu tvorby žákovské práce od výběru tématu až po závěrečnou obhajobu. Při analýze vychází ze zkušeností pedagogů základní školy a doplňuje ji o konkrétní ukázky ze žákovských prací. The importance of teaching assistant at a primary school

The aim of the diploma thesis is to highlight the importance of a teaching assistant in terms of contribution to the educational process for pupils with SVP at primary level. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the issue of pupils with special educational needs. It reflects the current trend of education, which is based on the uniform rights of all to education, especially in the case of differences, whether health or social, and describes inclusive approaches to education. The inclusion is based on the cooperation of selected actors - the pupil, school management, teachers, their assistants, legal representatives and representatives of counseling facilities, so the theoretical part also touches on this issue. It also contains the characteristics of pupils with SVP and summarizes the disabilities, social and health disadvantages that entitle the pupil to the assignment of a teaching assistant. From the professional point of view, the teaching assistant approaches the profession, the necessary education to perform the profession, the historical development in terms of the occurrence of this profession in teaching and at the same time capture the development of the importance of this role. The master thesis deal with communication and cooperation between teachers and families on the first grade of elementary school follow up distance learning during state of emergency. It is about types of communication and cooperation between teachers and families which are used and also about pros and cons of distance learning or crucial conditions for distance learning. Theoretical part of the thesis deal with basic knowledges of communication, communication channels and barriers. One of the chapters is about pedagogical communication. Next chapters are focused on cooperation between school and family, especially on expectation from each sides and roles of parents connected to school. Defines topics about teacher, family, distance learning or e-learning. Empiric part of the thesis focused on used types of communication and cooperation between teachers, parents and students, pros and cons of distance learning and crucial conditions for distance learning. HAVLÍKOVÁ, Andrea. Cooperation and engagement of pupils in centres of activities in the Step by Step program. [Diploma Thesis]. Charles University in Prague. Prague : 2019. 107 pages. The aim of the thesis was to theoretically elaborate and practically solve the problems of cooperation and involvement of pupils in the centres of activities within the Step by Step program. Several methods were used to process this thesis. In the theoretical part, an overview of relevant information related to the topic was carried out on the basis of a search and by using a description method. The practical part was based on action research, which was carried out in the class of the author. The research was carried out as an unstructured observation and experiment, the outcomes were in the form of reflections. Based on reflections the centres of activities in the monitored class were improved, especially in the area of pupils' involvement and cooperation. Improved centres of activities based on the reflection of the original centres of activities have certainly led to improvements in the involvement and cooperation of pupils in the studied classroom. Comparison of pair teaching in the context of the teaching process in relation to PedF UK and 1st grade of elementary school.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of pair teaching between teachers. The main goal is to map the advantages and disadvantages of this teaching. It focuses on the broader specifics of pair teaching, which it then compares in the environment of primary and university. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the introductory chapters of the first part, the issue is viewed from a theoretical point of view, i.e. they describe the model of pair teaching. The theoretical part further defines its basic key principles, especially under what conditions it works and what benefits for pupils, students and teachers brings. It focuses on the prerequisites for proper functioning, cooperative teaching and deals with possible models of cooperation between two teachers. The work also mentions the influence of pair teaching on the quality of professional development of future teachers. The practical part is designed as a qualitative research. This survey is conducted using a structured interview with primary and university teachers who teach in tandem. My thesis focuses to parental and teacher's attitude to homework. This work consists of two parts, theoretical and empirical part. Theoretical part contains the terms and definitions of homework. There are a lot of purposes of homework. Another aim is to discover positive and negative effects of homework. A key to success over homework are communication and motivation. The empirical part deals with interviews with parents and teachers. The interview with the parents focused on the main question: What is the attitude of the parents to their child's homework? And the interview with the teachers focused on the main question: What is a purpose of homework? As result came out that the parents agree with the idea of homework and for teachers the purpose of homework is to practise the lessons. Diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem "závěrečných bakalářských prací žáků 5. tříd" na základní škole v kontextu badatelsky orientovaného vyučování. Forms of cooperation of primary teachers with the Faculty of Education Charles University

The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the cooperation between faculty teachers and the Faculty of Education. It defines the role of a faculty teacher and a faculty school in relation to mentoring and the concept of the Clinical School. Furthermore, it surveys forms of cooperation and practice at PedF UK as well as the role of the Faculty and university teachers. The next part of the text focuses on places of interconnetion of theory and practice and presents the form of cooperation in educationally advanced countries. The research part of the thesis focuses on mapping the ways of cooperation between faculty teachers and the Department of Pre-primary and Primary Pedagogy, Faculty of Education, Charles University, and it analyzes the benefits and difficulties of the cooperation, as well as maps the forms of motivation that help this collaboration to be established. The crucial research question is: What forms of motivation do teachers mention when cooperating with the Faculty, what obstacles do they observe and what benefits and assets do they appreciate in this cooperation? As research tools, a group interview and an individual intervieware applied.
