Technology of Selective Catalytic Reduction for Passenger Cars
Jurík, Juraj ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the selective catalytic reduction technology. It concerned of reducing nitrogen oxides in diesel engines. It describes components of the technology, their function and location in system. in first chapter there are described harmful substances of exhaust gas in connection with this technology. Second chapter contains description of emission standards. Next chapters are describing selective catalytic reduction and solutions of some manufacturers.
Formula Student Intake System Design
Kříž, Radim ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the intake system of a turbocharged Formu-la Student combustion engine. The thesis contains a brief description of the intake system of a passenger vehicle and the intake system of a Formula Student vehicle. Part of the work is the design of an electronic throttle. The type of throttle valve was selected based on a research of individual types used nowadays. Furthermore, simulations of the flow of the air through the intake system are performed and the results are used in the design cal-culations.
Rocker for Formula Student Vehicle
Šprta, Petr ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with a prototype of the rear suspension rockers of the racing monopost Dragon 10th generation, which is being developed at the Brno University of Technology within the international educational project Formula Student. Based on the research, the technology method of casting has been chosen for this purpose. The input for the prototype of the rocker arms is based on the impacting forces and suspension points given by kinematics of the vehicle. Based on these facts, topology optimization of the shapes has been conducted and the components have been modelled accordingly. Followingly, optimization focused on minimizing weight, deformation and stress were conducted using the reverse loading of modelled components. The last part of this thesis is concerned in the comparison of rear rockers of the last year‘s monopost Dragon 9. Taking into consideration the change of the concept, the mechanical properties of rockers are slightly better.
Electric Car Vertical Door Opening System Design
Carbon Fiber Formula Student Driveshaft
Bartoška, Vojtěch ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The work contains summary of possible design solutions of the drive shafts for Formula Student vehicle. Choice of the composite shaft design and its design, including proposal of tripod and bonded joint. Design verification by static and dynamic testing. Comparison of composite drive shafts with steel drive shafts.
Design of transmission mechanism for Formula Student Dragon 7
Fanta, Tomáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis examines the various types of transmissions which allow to seamlessly change gears without interrupting the transfer of a motor's power output. In particular, it elaborates on the advantages and disadvantages each design presents for a FormulaStudent/SAE vehicle. Furthermore, the thesis explores the selection of gear ratios and simulates acceleration parameters in order to achieve the best possible dynamic behavior. What is more, the thesis presents a concrete implementation of a transmission for the Husqvarna FE 501 motorcycle redesigned with the Zeroshift mechanism. It includes a fundamental change in the operation of the clutch as well as a gear stress analysis. Last but not least, the TU Brno Racing team incorporated the main conclusions of the thesis into the team's vehicle in order to improve the team's standings in international races.
Vehicle Front Wheel Carrier Behaviour Analysis
Baxant, Roman ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
Master’s thesis is focused on a design of front uprights for Dragon 8 racing car of TU Brno Racing Formula Student team. This thesis follows up the bachelor’s thesis called “Race Car Front Wheel Carrier Design”. Discussion about team’s recent upright and component designs is followed by a model creation with use of topology optimization. Final geometry is simulated in FEA software. Design of the upright is then compared to the previous designs and also to its substitute produced with milling machining process.
Casted Formula Student Upright
Doležal, Tomáš ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with a design of casted upright for Formula Student vehicle Dragon X. Casting method used for the purpose of this thesis was selected by review of relevant scientific literature. The upright was then structurally designed and strength calculations were made. Main criterion of the design is minimum compliance with meeting the required weight. Final design is compared with the design of the previous generation of vehicle.
Formula Student Turbocharger Lubrigation
Novotný, Tomáš ; Špičák, Milan (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with turbocharger´s bearing housing lubrication. The first part is focused on searches about this topic, it describes parts of lubrication system and ways of oil distribution. The next part deals with design of independent lubrication system for Formula student car´s turbocharger, in particular design of gerotor pump and it´s pressure regulator.
