High dynamic range images visualization methods
Markovsky, Aleksander ; Kosová, Petra (referee) ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis describes image processing of pictures with high dynamic range. The first part aims to describe ways to reduce visible noise, Fourier transform and convolution for image processing, linear filtering and unsharp mask method. Theoretical framework is followed by a C++ program, that processes HDR images, enhances details and creates a .jpg output.
Fractal Image Compression
Grísa, Tomáš ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Martišek, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to define fractal, explain an image compression methods and describe fractal image compression. Then make an application of fractal image compression in a form of computer program, which can be used for real digital images.
Numerical method of solar corona electron temperature measurement
Dospiva, Jindřich ; Žák, Libor (referee) ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis is about the calculation of a spectral radiance for the K-corona, the continuius spectral part which arise from the Thomson scattering of a solar radiance of free electrons in the corona. Also the Doppler effect is described as it smooth down a solar spectrum (with many absorption lines) to a smoother spectrum of the K-corona. It’s also possible to determine the temperature of free electrons from spectral shape, from which proceeds the method of temperature measurement. NASA intends to use this method on the probe ONSET. Also, temperature definition and its significance are discussed.
Problems of the complex potentials of the isotropic elasticity
Padělek, Petr ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
The presented Bachelor Thesis investigates the problem of the complex potentials in the isotropic elasticity. The objective of the work is acquiring the components of the stress tensor and the displacement vector which describe the elasticity of continum. This problem is primarily solved on the mathematical level by means of the Airy stress function and the Muschelishvili´s complex potentials. The thesis is supplemented with the necessary theory of the elasticity and finally the concrete solution of the edge dislocation in the infinite domain is demonstrated and compared with the results acquired by FEM method.
Hausdorff dimension of the lightning
Kočendová, Alžběta ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Hoderová, Jana (advisor)
In this thesis, the theory related to the Hausdorff dimension is described. The Hausdorff dimension is used to describe the fragmentation of a fractal. Fractals include many natural objects and phenomena. One such phenomenon is lightning, which is the focus of this work. This work involves the development of a MATLAB program to detect lightning in an image and then calculate the Hausdorff dimension of this lightning.
Decomposition of video-sequences into components with different dynamics
Gebrtová, Karolína ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the decomposition of video sequences, primarily on background and dynamic component separation, where the background remains the same and only small parts are in motion. Such a video is represented by a low-rank and sparse component. Thanks to the low-rank structure, the background can be separated using a median filter and dynamic mode decomposition. Furthermore, the robust principal component analysis, formulated as an optimization problem and its non-convex variant, will be employed. Also mentioned will be the multiresolution DMD, which is capable of decomposing the dynamic component based on its velocity.
Image descriptors
Dula, Marek ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Procházková, Jana (advisor)
Image processing is a growing industry that makes extensive use of image descriptors to analyze objects in a photo. Nowadays, practically all photos go through Image processing, for example for our convenience when browsing digital photos or for our safety, but also for marketing purposes.
High precision sub-pixel image registration methods and their applications in astrophysics
Pattern recognition by means of moment method
Števček, Juraj ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with object recognition using moment method. We will recognize the letters from the scanned text. The moment method works with principal moments, these are moments invariant to scaling, translation and rotation. This thesis focuses on a detail description of the moment method, on determining the optimal combination of principal moments suitable for object recognition and to create a program for recognition. For all combinations of principal moments the accuracy of the recognition is calculated and the best option is proposed. The moment method will be compared with the moment invariants method. This method is similar to the moment method but has a different approach to rotation invariants.
