Conceptual project of coal source reconstruction

The diploma thesis’s deals with the conceptual design of the coal boiler into biomass boiler conversion. The first part of the thesis describes coal as a fuel, also the reasons why are we quitting from it are mentioned here. The next part of the thesis contains a description of the existing coal boiler and a conceptual design of the new reconstructed boiler. Balance calculations are then performed for both sources. The final part of the thesis deals with the comparison of sources based on performed balance calculations.

Title of project: SK Jičín's Football Club History Thesis goals: The main goal of my bachelor's thesis is to capture the founding and course of development of our football club SK Jičín. I focused on history of the town Jičín in the first part of my Bachelor's thesis. In addition to this topic I depicted the development of sports in Jičín. The main part is focused on the founding of the football club SK Jičín and its course since 1998 up till present days. Design of heating and ventilation detached house

The bachelor's thesis deals with the choice of the ideal method of heating and ventilation for a specific detached house. The first part of the thesis provides an overview of available technologies. The following part deals with the description of the properties of a detached house, on the basis of which the most suitable heat sources and methods of ventilation are selected. In the final part of the thesis, these technologies are compared both in terms of initial and operating costs, as well as payback period of the investment.

DLC/TI thin films properties prepared by hybrid laser technologies

Layers of diamond-like carbon are usable in many fields of industry as well as in medicine. Many scientific groups have worked with different types of deposition techniques to prepare DLC layers with improved or unique properties. The DLC properties could be improved by various dopations. In this study, we focused on DLC layers doped by titanium, prepared by hybrid laser depositions. Two techniques were used: Dual pulse laser deposition (DualPLD) and pulse laser deposition in combination with magnetron sputtering (PLD/MS). Preliminary tests for morphology, wettability, adhesion, hardness, corrosion, friction and wearability were examined. DLC samples were prepared on Si(100) wafer and on Ti6Al4V alloy substrates with titanium concentration from pure up to 25 at.%. Friction of the prepared layers ranged from 0.09 to 0.18. The films exhibited very low wear for loads 1 N and 2 N.\n

Role of small states in the Persian Gulf with special emphasis on a client-patron relationship

The Bachelor thesis the Role of small states in the Persian Gulf with special emphasis on a client-patron relationship is divided into three parts, whose aim is to show the development of the position of so called small states in the Persian Gulf region in their modern history. The first part deals with the theoretical background of international relations, which is important part of their research. This section explores the most important characteristics of theories of constructivism, neo-realism and theory of regional security complex and also attributes of some important concepts like relationship between patron and client or the way of alliance formation. The second part is devoted to the most important moments of 1980s and first half of 1990s in the Persian Gulf region, which affected development of this region. The third part puts emphasis on some important moments in last 20 years, which gave direction to the development of one of the small states of Persian Gulf - Qatar. The main axis of the second and third part is foremost partnership of these small states with the United States of America, which are in the position of patron. Scanning thermal microscopy of thermoelectric pulsed laser deposited nanostructures

New materials with high possible figure of merit ZT are of high interest as a promising candidates for thermoelectric applications such as energy harvesting. Miniaturization of such systems tends toward developing of the suitable characterization method with nanometer resolution ability. In our contribution, we present the development and experimental results of a simple scanning probe microscopy method for the relative thermal conductivity characterization. The possibility of the setup is demonstrated on the set of different thin thermoelectric layers grown from hot pressed targets by pulsed laser deposition on the reference Si substrate. All the measurements were performed on the commercial Veeco Multimode scanning AFM/STM microscope with home developed controller and by using PicoCal Inc. bolometer probes with tungsten resistive path. Control of web analytics implementation

The diploma thesis is focused on verifying the accuracy of web Analytics Adobe Analytics. Manual control is a time-consuming activity, therefore web analysts are looking for ways leading to its acceleration and automation. Selected problem was solved by writing VBA macro in MS Excel. Macro checks the reports that are uploaded into Excel from analytic database using Adobe Report Builder. The theoretical part is focused on explaining the role of web analytics in online marketing and related concepts. The practical part presents the requirements for macro in Excel and then interprets all functions and procedures created by the program. Thesis also includes the configuration of the ObservePoint system competitive environment, which will be the last part compared with created macro. Created solution in Excel allows to verify the accuracy of web analytics with clearly sorted results quickly, thereby replaces the previous manual control.
