Leader In Me, the educational program at a primary school

This thesis examines the educational program "The leader in me" and its functioning within the first grades of elementary school. The thesis is divided into three chapters - theoretical, analytical and practical. The first theoretical part introduces the program and defines and explaines the term "habit". The outcomes of the first presented chapter focus on the interconnections between self-management and the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The analytical part summarizes experiences and results gathered during researching the sample elementary school A.B. Combs and other schools that use the examined program in their classrooms. This has been achieved based on the analysis of Czech and foreign resources. The last practical part presents a qualitative survey, whose main objective was to reflect on teaching practices that have been based on methods of self- management and on knowledge gained in the theoretical part of this thesis.

It finds out whether the school management thinks that ISO 9001 would help them in the management and leadership of their school and also if it would help them gain clients - pupils, in negotiation with the management and social partners, in raising funds - mainly in additional activities. This thesis expresses the opinions of school principals or their representatives from different high schools about management quality - ISO 9001 and the possibility of introducing this norm in their schools. The theoretical part deals with the first characteristic of a teacher and his teaching skills, develops the various deadlines related to the work in the last chapter is devoted to individual autoevaluačním methods. The practical part of my work consists of a quantitative research carried out among teachers in primary schools in the Carlsbad region and evaluation of claims which have been established. The aim of my study was to determine the relationship of teachers to the current theme this time - the self-evaluation of the extent to which various known methods of self-evaluation, which of them actively carried out and the reasons which lead them to not deal with them. Then I searched for how teachers evaluate themselves in the lesson, what conclusions of this reason. Integration of older people into school education

The bachelor thesis explains the need for mutual meetings of old and young people. It also explores whether the school is an appropriate environment for such meetings. To justify the seriousness of the whole issue, the thesis is put into a broader context (philosophical, sociological, psychological and pedagogical). The author discovers the main reason to integrate older people into an environment for young people is a common opportunity for both ages to find the meaning of life and the way to its fulfillment. He considers the integration of old people to be an opportunity for the school management to ensure greater efficiency and quality. The thesis is divided into three chapters: The need for the integration, Issues of old age and Integration of old people.

The theoretical part describes both general procedures of selection procedures together with other methods, and selection procedures for a managing position in education. The practical part examines selection procedures the applicants for the position of headmaster went through using author's own questionnaire. In the theoretical section a number of interesting comparative data is listed. This section covers not only the present of British education and related areas but also historical development. Great attention is paid to comparison of the two school systems, as well as to the differences and similarities in the education of teachers and managers. Practical part provides by the method of survey suggestions of areas in which in the opinions of the respondents could be used practical experience of British school management in the Czech conditions, although both countries are different in terms of history, sociality and also in terms of the state systems. Program EATS as an alternative in teaching English language at primary school

This thesis is about an inovative program in teaching English language called EATS. The goal was to find out the effectivness of this program on the basis of repeated observations, didactic testing and interview. In the theoretical part the position of English language in the curricular documents is discussed. Then there is the description of the communicative approach to the language learning which is very useful in nowadays globalised society.The important role of the native speaker is emphasized because he brings the authentic element into the education process and gives pupils good language model. Also the early education in foreign languages is part of this work. Integrated language learning is described on the ilustration of CLIL and its alternative which could be called "language preparation". The aim was to show an example of a good practice which could inspire someone.

ABSTRACT: Final thesis deals with the evaluation of the school curriculum in basic education. Based on the literature of international and local authors and in particular investigation carried out in selected primary schools educating pupils on the school curriculum established under the Framework Educational Programme for basic education, the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education - Annex in relation to pupils with mild mental disabilities and Framework Educational program for elementary school special. The work is designed to detect the current state of evaluation of the school curriculum. Based on the survey results can be stated that the issue of evaluation of the school curriculum is different for different types of primary schools. The work was hilarious comparative research that points to these differences. The work provides an overview of the recommended content, which should be paid attention to in the evaluation of the school curriculum in primary education and should thus help managers of schools and serve as a practical guide to self-evaluation process of the school curriculum.
