The thesis focuses on the ranking of ten largest companies in the Czech bakery industry. The ranking is made for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 and it is based on the comprehensive evaluation methods, such as credibility models and spread (ROE - opportunity costs). Results are summarized in the conclusion. Marlenka international was evaluated as a company with the best financial situation.

This Master's thesis applies Balanced Scorecard in wholesale company BM MOTO s.r.o. which is focused on the purchase and sale of car accessories. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. First part defines tools of strategic analysis, financial analysis INFA and Balanced Scorecard components. Practical part contains description of the company and the analysis itself. Then follows determination of strategic objectives, measures and actions for each perspective of the Balanced Scorecard. The aim of this thesis is to create a strategic map and overall assessment of the situation
Strategic Management in Motol University Hospital

This master thesis deals with strategic analysis of Motol University Hospital, which belongs to the largest hospital complex in Central and Eastern Europe providing complex treatment of whole human body at any age (from prenatal to advanced age). The aim of the thesis is a description of hospital management and assessment of the possibility of using the Balanced Scorecard in health care. The theoretical part contains a basic description of strategy creation, selected methods for analysing internal and external environment and a general description of the Balanced Scorecard. The practical part comprises of an executed strategic analysis of Motol University Hospital, and assessment of hospital´s strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT analysis). This thesis also contains a survey of scientific literature concerning the usage of the Balanced Scorecard in health care, specifically in hospitals. A result of this survey helps to assess the feasibility of introducing the Balanced Scorecard in Czech hospitals (those in state ownership). This thesis also includes a proposal of strategic perspectives for Motol University Hospital and an evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of implementation into hospital management. A strategy map displays relationships among proposed goals.
Analysis of the current business model of Laminar Medica (CE) s.r.o.

The main aim of this master thesis is to analyse the current business model of Laminar Medica (CE) s.r.o.. Theoretical and methodological part contains the definitions of partial analyzes methodologies and procedures which will be utilized in the practical part. The second part of the thesis besides characteristics of the company itself focuses mainly on practical implementation and linkage of the partial analyzes. Their main purpose is to create comprehensive picture of current business model of the company Laminar Medica (CE) s.r.o., create financial plan and estimate the appraisal of the company. In the last part of the thesis, there will be an accomplished summarization of the main findings and formulation of the recommendations on how to enhance function of the current business model.

The aim of the Master´s Thesis is the ranking of the selected sector of the Czech economy, specifically the group CZ NACE 1051: Milk processing, production of dairy products and cheese. In particular the evaluation of the financial performance of selected objects of ranking, creating charts according to specific criteria and their interpretation. The Thesis also provides examples of significant Czech and world rankings, which are more closely described and compared. The theoretical part describes the selection criteria and ranking methodology, followed by the selection and segmentation of objects included in the ranking. The practical part of the work is focused on ranking of companies based on their financial performance.
The impact of Organizational Culture on value creation

Dissertation analyzes the influence of organizational culture in company value. The theoretical part mapped existing knowledge about the organizational culture and its impact on company performance, and expanded model of organizational culture of E. Schein by delay factor. The practical part of the dissertation consists of research conducted on 59 companies operating in the Czech Republic in industry, services and construction. For this purpose, the following questionnaires were used: a profile questionnaire assumptions efficiency DOCS, typological questionnaire concept of success OCAI, typological questionnaire state organizational culture - profiled company orientation questionnaire, a questionnaire characteristics of a learning organization. Based on the research investigation it was found that if the company has a strong organizational culture, the content of which is consistent with the content of organizational strategy, the organizational culture has on value creation positive impact, especially on return on equity, among which was the organization culture found a statistically significant correlation. The basis of prosperity of any organization is yet close link between strategy and performance of an organization and can therefore be concluded that organizational culture affects value creation through corporate strategy.

This thesis deals with the processing and evaluation of business plans in services. The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and future profitability of the business plan taking into account the current market competition. The first part describes the methodological apparatus that was used for the assessment and treatment of the business plan. The second part is practical and describes how to apply the theory in practice. It will discuss the founding assembly of the budget of a business plan and financial statements. In the last part, the emphasis was on identifying threats and actions.
Analyze of economic value added generated by non-financial companies listed on Prague stock exchange.

The goal of this Masters Thesis is to analyse economic value added generated by non-financial companies listed on Prague stock exchange. Main goal is not only to calculate the amount of economic value added, but also to compare results of two economic models used to specify Re (Minimal required return of companys own capital), necessary to calculate economic value added. Next goal is to analyze link between economic value added and stock price. Correlation between this two parameters would be a sign of possibility to predict future stock price in dependance on generated economic value added. For this Masters thesis, It is important to have all balance sheets, P/L statements and stock market data for all selected corporations. All these informations were exported from database Thomson Reuters Eikon available on University of economics in Prague.
The performance management and the strategic management of innovative companies

The thesis deals with the management of Czech companies operating in the market areas where frequent innovations are crucial for long term success. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the techniques available for strategic management and the management of innovations. On this theoretical background the research part is based. It contains the results of own survey carried out in the selected Czech companies, presented in the context of strategic management and innovation management theory. The method of structured interview with owners or top management members was chosen for research. The interview deals mostly with the areas of strategic management and the management of innovations. The information derived from the structured interview is combined with the economic results of company. Consequently, the relations between techniques and results are found. The thesis also contains the list of five recommendations that, based on research, can be useful for managers.
Models Predicting Financial Distress with an Emphasis on Transition Economies

The basic aim of this dissertation is to evaluate the predictive ability and accuracy of the existing and until now created corporate models predicting financial distress and verification of multinational force models. Partial goals must be filled to meet the basic objective and therefore the theoretical part is especially mapping models used and developed in the Czech Republic and other European economies, of which the emphasis is primarily on the former transition economies. These now post-transition economies have passed a similar political and economic development as the Czech Republic, and therefore prediction models created and used there could be transferable to the environment of the Czech economy and Czech companies whose financial health and conditions are assessed. The practical part is based on the author's own research, which is dedicated to the evaluation of prediction models when applied to Czech business entities differentiated according to belonging to a particular industry branch. During the models' evaluation the emphasis is on the fact whether they are national (Czech) or foreign models.
