Prokopová, Dominika ; Pech, Milan (advisor) ; Bendová, Eva (referee)
This Bachelor thesis deals with a special relationship between two Austrian artistic personalities, expressive painter Egon Schiele (1890-1918) and provocative painter-architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000). In a view of Schiele's early death was this relationship indeed one- sided, but Hundertwasser's infinite adoration of Schiele, intercepted among others in manifesto Ich liebe Schiele, helped to detect similarities in life destinies and creative inventions of both painters. Goal of this paper is to present these similarities and introduce the artistic and theoretical work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, which is quite unknown in Czech atmosphere.

He spent his life, except of his short studies in Prague, in Sloupnice by Litomyšl and its surrounding where he gathered inspiration for his work. Deliberately he became the epigone of the grate landscape painters who went through the Mařák's school and follows their themes and mannerism. Mostly he was inspired by Jan Honsa and Antonín Slavíček etc. He follows the work by Max Švabinský and Tavík František Šimon in graphic art. Level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts
Bendová, Eva ; Hájková, Jana (advisor) ; Mojžíš, Otakar (referee)
This master thesis focuses on the influence that artistic gymnastics has on the coordination abilities of young school age girls. The purpose of this thesis was to use motor tests in the field to compare the level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts with that of non-sporting girls. The tests results were subsequently statistically evaluated and commented upon. Another aim of the thesis was to compare the coordination abilities of artistic gymnasts aged 6 - 8 years with those of artistic gymnasts aged 9 - 11 years whilst they were undertaking particular tests. From the tests results it can be seen that artistic gymnastics has a positive effect on the level of the childrens coordination abilities. This finding is supported by the fact that in all tests the artistic gymnasts succeeded better than the non-sporting girls. Of the two groups the older girls (9 - 11 years) were more succesful than the younger group (6 - 8 years). The theoretical part of the thesis describes the Child's Motor Development, emphasizing the relationship between coordination abilities and young school age. It discusses the environment of the branch of sport called "women's artistic gymnastics" and the need for the children's sports training.
Comparison of progress and several specific masterpieces of Oscar Kokoschka`s Prague exile period and Max Beckmann`s Amsterdam exile period
Bišof, Petr ; Pech, Milan (advisor) ; Bendová, Eva (referee)
The work deals with Prague exile period of Oscar Kokoschka and Amsterdam exile period of Max Beckmann. Right these two artists were choosen for the reason, that both were representatives of expressionistic style, they belonged to same generation (Beckmann born in 1884, Kokoschka 1886) and both were affected by the similar social-political influences (from the work point of view is the most important influence the political oppression of the third decade). The main part of this work deals with a question, how the life in exile, as well as repression and intimidation from the nazi regime, changed artisctic progress of both artists, whereas the author tries to describe these changes in three features of art - in self-portrait, landscape-painting and allegoric paintings. In the scope of these areas he tries to compare how did these two artists react to the same influences outside art (for example politicized exhibition "Entartete Kunst"), how did they see themselves in this dramatic era, and to show this at specific pieces of art.

Historic Building as a Museum (Contemporary Architecture and Heritage Conservation Issues)
Trefná, Magdaléna ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Bendová, Eva (referee)
The master's student will conduct a study dedicated to the question of using heritage objects for the presentation of museum collections with the emphasis on art museums and the possibilities and limits of contemporary architecture. The subject of the thesis will first be explored through a short historical review which will organically connect the history of collecting with the history of architecture and historic preservation. The chosen topic will be further specified through a case study showing some of the issues faced when adapting and using heritage objects for the needs of an art museum. This will be done using the example of the National Gallery in Prague. The core part of the thesis will be a comparative analysis of selected contemporary architecture interventions in historical buildings in the Czech Republic. This will lead to conclusions about the relationship between the generally accepted belief in a cultural - ideally museum - use as a non-conflict ideal of a future life for heritage objects, as well as the opportunities and limits of contemporary architecture in its fulfilment. A selective catalogue and a picture appendix will be part of the thesis. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
