New Technologies in Transportation
Šimon, Daniel ; Rujbrová, Šárka (oponent) ; Smutný, Milan (vedoucí práce)
Electric vehicle is a better replacement of internal combustion vehicle, while maintaining its purpose. An electric vehicle offers enhancements in power, it can produce maximum power in seconds, without the need for transmission, minimizing losses in power. A simple design of its engine with single movable part reduces maintenance costs and overall wear and tear. Internal combustion vehicle's 38% thermal efficiency, when compared to 90% energy conversion efficiency. showing dominance of electric vehicle in terms of power and engine capabilities. It is known that internal combustion vehicles are polluting environment with their combustion process, producing 67 tons of CO2 emissions per life cycle of the vehicle, in comparison to electric vehicle that does not directly produce any CO2 emissions, its manufacturing and upstream emissions are 50% lower. Depending on cleaner sources of the energy, emissions can be lowered by more than 300% per life cycle of vehicle by replacing polluting heat power plants with cleaner energy generation solutions. In terms of safety in transportation since 2001 European union recorded more than 50% reduction in causalities on the roads with enforcement of advanced driver assistance systems. It tends to further reduce these causalities by testing and implementing new systems (eCall, collision avoidance systems,…). With advanced driver assistance systems society is only few years from first autonomous vehicles that can improve way of transportation we know now. Limited by their own security, technological faults and law liability.
Key Differences Between Japanese and Western Video Games
Agazhanova, Anara ; Rujbrová, Šárka (oponent) ; Krhutová, Milena (vedoucí práce)
This thesis is aimed to find the differences as well as similarities of video game design elements to emphasize how different cultures prioritize various aspects of a role-playing game. The differences between Western and Japanese role-playing games illustrate how cultural aspects impact the game development process. The theoretical section of this thesis focuses on the basic principles of Japanese art forms and aesthetics which are the factors behind the current styles in contemporary Japanese game art. The distinct character of Japanese games in comparison to Western-style video games is described as well as the reasons leading to these differences. Three RPG games are compared and analyzed regarding user interface, graphic design and character attributes.
Modern Imaging Techniques in Medicine
Pařízek, Aleš ; Neuwirthová, Ludmila (oponent) ; Rujbrová, Šárka (vedoucí práce)
The aim of this work is to describe physical phenomena and basic principles relevant to individual imaging methods and to compare them. The bachelor thesis describes generation of x-rays, interaction of x-rays with various media and methods of detecting the x-rays. In addition, the work describes basic principles of creating 3D images using computed tomography and individual generations of CT machines. Lastly, the work aims on the principle of nuclear magnetic resonance and basic parameters for creation of MRI images.
Gender Stereotypes in Technical Products Advertisements
Kolomiichuk, Liubov ; Walek, Agata (oponent) ; Rujbrová, Šárka (vedoucí práce)
The thesis is focused on media representations of gender stereotypes in advertising. The definition of advertising, gender and stereotypes is discussed, the conclusions of studies of gender stereotypes in advertising are presented. Gender stereotypes which appear in present-day advertising of different kinds of products are analysed.
Analysis of Communication Protocols and Modules in Wireless M-Bus
Holyszewská, Anna ; Neuwirthová, Ludmila (oponent) ; Rujbrová, Šárka (vedoucí práce)
The thesis aims to present the topic of allocating costs of heating and water in individual flats and industrial buildings. Firstly, data are elaborated theoretically and divided according to the type of meter and the type of reading of values on the meters. In addition to that, this part of the thesis also deals with security features against possible damage to the meters which can be caused by customers. Secondly, basic parameters of four embedded modules supporting Wireless M-Bus are explained and then compared in a table. The last part of the thesis focuses on the introduction to analysis of data telegrams transmitted by the meters according to the standards. The main contribution of this work is a better comprehension of wireless remote reading of heat, water meters and heat cost allocators.
Web localization within the process of translation
Srp, Jakub ; Rujbrová, Šárka (oponent) ; Šťastná, Dagmar (vedoucí práce)
The main subject of this thesis is the process of localization within the process of translation. In the thesis the term of localization is defined, history of localization, localization in translation studies. Specific examples of each localization level, proposed by Jiménez-Crespo, on Czech websites are shown in practical part.
The Discourse of Mobile Technologies Advertising
Šutera, Ondřej ; Kotásek, Miroslav (oponent) ; Rujbrová, Šárka (vedoucí práce)
The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the language in advertising on considered samples of contemporary advertising. It analyses the concept and origin of advertising, its history and categorization. The practical part analyses modern advertisements. Conventional and unconventional energy storage technologies
Mikulec, Ondřej ; Rujbrová, Šárka (oponent) ; Jašková, Jana (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the systems used for the storage of electrical energy from the conventional methods being already integrated, to more unconventional ones. This thesis gives a basic explanation of these systems and their integration into the power grid. In the next part of the thesis, the focus is on their advantages and disadvantages from various points of view. The last part of the thesis pays close attention to the direct comparison of the given methods to further outline their main weakness while also showing their strong parts which makes them better for future development and additional integration.
Drone technology for hobby or recreational purposes
