Psychological violence in the context of the problem CAN

This thesis introduces the reader to the problem of psychological violence against the background of CAN syndrome - Child Abuse and Neglect syndrom. This graduation theses has x chapters. All chapters contain partial aspect of psychological violence, while trying to provide a comprehensive view in the context of CAN syndrome. First part (Chapter 3) of this thesis is describing syndrom CAN. It also highlighted its definition, forms and manifestations and it is followed by Chapter 4 which deals with the prevention, causes the generation, high-risk groups and treatment of CAN syndrome and psychological violence. The conclusion is then given kasuistika itself. The last fifth chapter provides statistical data to highlight the presence of CAN syndrome across the Czech Republic. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Comparison of current undergraduate training future biology teachers in selected countries

In most of the countries all over the world, one can find governmental resorts (ministries) focused on education in the given country. The agenda of these ministries is, among other things, the education of those who are supposed to educate others, in other words, pedagogical workers or teachers. Teachers are the fundamental functional unit in education which is why there ought to be a special emphasis placed upon their education and preparation. Unless the society has sufficiently qualified teachers, it cannot expect any excellent results in education, even though there are some other factors involved as well. The main concern of this bachelor thesis lies on teachers' education, mainly biology teachers: what is the lowest possible education needed and how many years must a future teacher study; what is the required structure of teachers' education in the Czech Republic, Finland, Poland, Ireland and in the USA and what part of the future teachers' study is dedicated to gaining knowledge in biology and what part to obtain pedagogical-psychological knowledge which is considered necessary for working itself in the pedagogy sphere.

Primary prevention of the substance and non-substance addiction in primary and secondary schools in Czech Republic and selected European countries

In the Czech Republic it is possible through the so called Basic Preventive Programme to encounter not only the term "substance addiction", but also the term "non-substance addiction". In which way is the prevention of addictions performed and can we also find this comprehensive approach to the prevention of addictions in the schools of foreign countries? For comparison with the Czech Republic I chose two countries: Finland and Great Britain. The main aim of my work was based on an analysis of the school-based prevention programs and other preventive activities in the schools of each country to determine the current school preventive approaches. Furthermore, it was based on the curricular documents of the countries to identify which subjects or cross-cutting themes are involved in the prevention of substance and non-substance addictions. Finally, I wanted to summarize, from the obtained information, to what extent do the schools of the particular countries realize the prevention of substance and non-substance addictions. Toxic plants in teaching of biology at secondary schools

This diploma thesis is dedicated to teaching botany, and is focused namely on lessons concerning toxic plants. The first part deals with creating of worksheets for secondary school students for field trip into Botanic Garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The second part compares effectiveness of classical lesson and the field trip. Students of the first grades from four secondary schools (grammar schools) were divided into two groups.The first group was taught by classic conventional teaching in classroom (control group) and the second group (experimental) was taken for the field trip to the Botanic Garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The effectiveness of education was measured by means of a knowledge test before the lesson (pre-test) and after it (post-test). Level of knowledge increased in experimental groups and control groups, however, the difference between individual groups was not significant. The Using of expositions of the Botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague - Aquatic and marsh plants

Botanical gardens perform a wide variety of functions, from which one of the most important is an educational function. They provide to visitors a large range of services such as guided tours, a variety of educational programs, worksheets etc. The same applies to the Botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The main aim of the thesis was to prepare worksheets concerning expositions of aquatic and marsh plants in already mentioned botanical garden, verify them on students and adjust them to final forms. The results of the thesis are two different versions (spring and autumn) of the worksheets as well as author's solution and methodological manual for teachers. Within the thesis I also implemented the questionnaire survey where I dealt with the issue of teaching the theme of aquatic and marsh plants at Czech grammar schools and examined the attitude of teachers to field trips during botany teaching. Flora of Central Europe - the use of expositions of the botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague

This bachelor work is dedicated to utilization of an exposition flora of Central Europe botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for teaching biology. The work is focused especially on lessons of vascular plants - categorisation of this theme in curriculum of chosen countries of Central Europe (the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland), and curriculum of Great Britain for comparison. The work also deals with textbooks for elementary schools and grammar schools which - before the excursion itself - should present to pupils some significant plant species and characteristics of families. Use of Botanical Garden of faculty of science Charles University in Prague in teaching biology and natural history

This diploma thesis is focusing on use of Botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague by teachers as a destination for class field trips. Teachers use this garden with different objectives and different intensity. This diploma thesis provides a summary of this using by the processing of the survey, which took place in elementary school teachers and high school teachers. This work is testing the following hypotheses: 1. Teachers with length of practice above twenty years use the field trip less than teachers with length of practice under twenty years. 2. Men use guided tours more than women. 3. High school teachers use geopark for tour more than elementary school teachers. 4. Teachers with length of practice above twenty years visit gardens other than Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague and the Botanical Garden in Prague Troja less than teachers with length of practice under twenty years. The thesis summarizes basic information about the field trip as an organizational form. The thesis also deals with the Botanical Garden of faculty of science Charles University in Prague, its collections, history, and possibilities of using in schools.

Drug prevention in secondary schools

Drugs seem to be really hot topic discussed especially at high schools. Not only the particular drug addicted person but also the entire society and even the state have to face to many risks. School institutions should become one of the places where the primary steps of prevention should be implemented. In order to prepare proper topics and themes for discussions and meetings against drug use, it is important to know which drugs are used and preferred by young Prague citizens. The main aim of this thesis is to map the real situation that exists in the area of drug us in Prague. That is why a survey - based on a questionnaire - was carried out to gather the data to be able to analyze the differences that exist among the students of high schools, especially grammar schools and vocational schools as well as the boys and girls. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on detailed information about particular drugs and mapping of the situation that exists in this area in Poland, Austria, Slovakia and Germany. Selected localities of Prague for teaching biology and geology

This bachelor thesis is focused on the most important Prague locations that are suitable for biological and geological excursion. Very important is practical teaching biology and geology. It is desirable that students understand the processes of ancient geological history, that they have seen with their own eyes preserved fossils and that they know how plants and animals which are integral part of teaching biology look like. In this point of view the theoretical teaching in the classrooms is insufficient. In the work is included biological and geological characteristics of selected sites aimed at their geologicla formation, rock, fossils, plants and animals that are found there. Itinerary for each excursion should be designed. There are links to worksheets made by methodical portal RVP which are the part of my work. Short introduction of teaching biology and geology in foreign countries and their access to excursion is presented as well. This thesis was designed for teachers of biology and geology to make preparations of their own excursions easier.
