Scenario trees in stochastic programming problems
Malá, Alena ; Kopa, Miloš (advisor) ; Branda, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with multi-stage stochastic linear programming and its ap- plictions in the portfolio selection problem. It presents several models of invest- ment planning, the emphasis is on the basic model with transaction costs and risk adjusted model for every investment level. Random returns entering the above models are modelled by the scenario trees which are generated using the moment- matching method. The thesis presents the optimal investment strategy for each model. It then examines distance of optimal values of objective functions in de- pendence on the nested distance of these generated trees. All calculations were performed using Mathematica software version 9. 1
Multiobjective portfolio optimization
Malá, Alena ; Kopa, Miloš (advisor) ; Dupačová, Jitka (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to summarize three basic principles of solving multi-objective programming problems. We focus on three approaches: a linear combination of objective functions, ε-constrained approach and a goal programming. All these methods are subsequently applied to US data. We consider monthly excess returns of ten US representative portfolios based on individual stock market capitalization of equity that serve as basic assets. Our aim is to find the efficient portfolios. Next we investigate a structure of these portfolios and their mutual relationships. Graphic representation of efficient frontiers is also included in the thesis. All calculations were performed using Mathematica software version 8.
Nowadays tendencies in developing of writing skills in Spanish language based on the analysis of textbooks
Malá, Alena ; Zavadil, Bohumil (advisor) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
The diploma thesis concerns the topic of writing skills in foreign language textbooks of Spanish. The original idea was that there are not enough exercises in the textbooks and that writing is not practised sufficiently. In the theoretical part there are explanations about the concept of writing. Then the mutual influence of language skills and writing is treated. The next chapter deals with psycholinguistics and its approach towards writing skills. In the following chapter lingvodidactics and writing is outlined. Next, there is a chapter dedicated to methodological streams in foreign language teaching from history till nowadays and their appreciation of writing. Attitude towards writing is also reflected in two important documents of the European Union: the Common European Framework for Languages and Portfolio. In the penultimate chapter exercises dedicated to writing are divided into different groups. In the last chapter of the theoretical part ideas of the author about teaching writing in a foreign language are presented. The practical part starts with a detailed analysis of six Spanish textbooks: Španělština pro jazykové školy I., II., Fiesta 1, 2, 3, Ven 1, 2, 3, Espaol sin fronteras 1, 2, 3, Primer Plano 1, 2, 3, 4 a Suea 1, 2, 3, 4 (for all levels: teacher's books, student's books and workbooks). Anesteziologic nursing care of the patient with fracture lumbal vertebra during posterior spine stabilization
Popisuji lékařskou anamnézu pacienta Z. P., okolnosti jeho přijetí k hospitalizaci, provedená diagnostická vyšetření, stručný průběh onemocnění a provedenou operaci a obecný popis anestezie. V ošetřovatelské části se zabývám teorií ošetřovatelského procesu a ošetřovatelského modelu dle Majory Gordonové. Popisuji odebranou ošetřovatelskou anamnézu nemocného dle modelu fungujícího zdraví Majory Gordonové.
Philosophy of Culture
Malá, Adéla ; Dolista, Josef (advisor) ; Drozenová, Wendy (referee)
In this work I am reflectioning of culture, meaning of culture and exhibition ever since the modern style after as much as present-day. My thesis divided into three main parts. In my firs thesis I am engaging in the topic of the conception of culture at Tomáše Trnky. About Trnka I target on his view on genesis and spring of culture, on meaning, profitability and metamorphoses in a time, but on negative shows too. In second chapter I analyse modern of culture ideals in pedagogy, philosophy and science. I analyse idem modern perception of arts, artistic products and influence modern of culture and arts on a religion. The third chapter is about postmodern of culture. There I affect general status actual of cultures in all human areas as are sciences, arts and religions.
Philosophy of Hope
Malá, Adéla ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Drozenová, Wendy (referee)
In this work I am looking for a hope in selective authors. This work is divide to five chapter. In first chapter treat about philosphy of hope in conception by G. Marcel. In short foreshadow his autobiography, what about sources of information leaned, what upon philosophy reassume and why occupy oneself by this question. In Marcel I target the hope from ill and dying, bud too the essence philosophy and her relation to freedom. In second chapter I target the especially on the authors theology hope, where is criticism some Utopian imaginings, but also a biblical motivation of hope for survival. I occupy oneself by hope in religion and too foreshadow relation art and hope. Following third chapter is about environmental hope, which are as practical product (on safe groceries, on water and fresh air for all people, etc.). The fourth chapter is about sense of life hopes, hard situations hopes and energy of hope face up injustice.
Study of EEG signal in experiment with flicker-fusion test
Malá, Aneta ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Ronzhina, Marina (advisor)
Quick and easy detection of vigilance level is very important in practise. Questionnaires, psychological tests and analysis of biological signals are usually used for determination of awakening level. This work deals with studying of possibilities of using the flicker-fusion test (FF test) and electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis for determination of vigilance level. First part of thesis defines terms, second part represents brief introduction of EEG and third part is about FF test. Last part is about realization of spectral analysis of EEG using MATLAB. Method for EEG and FF test parameters assesment is also proposed in this part.

The Synthesis, Surface Modification and Stability of SPIO Nanoparticles for MRI Application
Kovář, D. ; Fohlerová, Z. ; Malá, A. ; Jiřík, Radovan ; Starčuk jr., Zenon ; Kalina, M. ; Skládal, P.
The biocompatibility and biodegradability of new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents is high-ly desired. The superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles are suitable candidates for these pur-poses. Here the co-precipitation technique for synthesis of monodispersed SPIO nanoparticles is pre-sented. The critical point of the synthesis is core formation and consequent crystal growth. The conditions for core formation (time, temperature, rate of base addition) were optimised. The nanoparticles were stabilised by either silanisation or polymer coating (cationic chitosan, poly-D-Arg, dextran, gelatine, hyaluronic acid). The stability was investigated in physiological pH, different ionic strength solutions, PBS-albumine solution or blood plasma. The biocompatibility was tested in vitro either in the presence of Saccharomyces cerevisiae or erythrocytes suspension. The size and shape was investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The molecular structures of nanoparticles were investigated by FTIR (Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy). The iron cations were determined using the Prussian blue staining test. The stability of nano-particles was investigated by the zeta potential using the method of electrophoretic light scattering (ELS).
