Stability of soil organic matter and humic substances

This diploma thesis is focused on changes of stability in organic matter by extraction in different agents. Two soils of a different type and isolated humic acids were used for stability determination. Extraction agents were selected usually used for soil metal extraction, and a changes in the structure of the organic matter was observed. Samples were characterized using FTIR analysis and elemental analysis, the extracts were measured by UV-VIS spectroscopy, absorption ratios E2/E3, E4/E6 were discovered, dynamic light scattering were determined for particle size distributions. Next part of the thesis was the assessment of the change of thermal stability using thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry, degradation temperatures of the extracted samples were discovered and compared with the original samples.

Empowerment of phamacists in the phamacies

The diploma thesis aims on the employee empowerment, both the psychological empowerment (PE) and its antecedents - the structuctural empowerment (SE) and the leadership empowerment behaviour (LEB). The theoretical part gives a definition and an overview of the above mentioned terms including studies that deal with their relations, and also it describes consequences of the empowerment that can be on the individual, team or organizational level. Based on knowledge from the literature research the comprehensive model of the empowerment was build. In the second part there are analyzed following relations: the structural - psychological empowerment relation, the leadership empowerment behaviour - psychological empowerment relation and the structural empowerment - leadership empowerment behaviour relation. For obtaining the data the questionnaire was used. The results pointing at some potentionally problematic parts of empowerment in the organizations are introduced in the discussion and the conclusion.

Characteristics of demand for healthy nutrition products

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the demand for healthy nutrition products on the Czech market. Its aim is to find out whether there is a demand for healthy nutrition products in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains an explanation of basic concepts related to the demand and healthy nutrition. The practical part focuses on research itself, which analyzes the demand for these products. The research is done through a questionnaire survey.

Business Ethics in Pharmaceutical Companies

The diploma thesis is divided in two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part gives a general overview of the basic terms related to the ethics and the business ethics. It also describes business ethics and ethical tools and methods constituting ethics programme of the company. In the practical part it analyzes ethics programme of the farmaceutical companies in the Czech Republic, their using of the ethical tools and methods including their implementation into the daily practice. It uses questionnaires to obtain the data. Created questionnaire is focused on the subjective perception of ethics, the knowledge of the business ethics and the detailed ethics programme in the company. This survey serves as pilot study and it can be used for other researches. The results indicate insufficient complexity of ethics programme of pharmaceutical companies and deficiences especially in the ethical organizational structure to support ethics, in the monitoring and reporting and in the stakeholder analysis. Abstract Social and legal protection of children represents a set of specific activities consisting in the provision of child protection. Culture of Social Workers OSPOD is defined values that are shared by professionals in this field. This thesis aims to illustrate the work of social workers through exploration of professional culture. Since the work of social workers covers wide range of duties, this thesis focuses on the removal of children from their families, as values of social workers in critical cases can be demonstrated within these difficult situations. Furthermore, from the professionals' perspective, this area is little known to the public. Qualitative research strategy has been used to answer the research question: "What is the professional culture of social workers OSPOD?" This thesis presents initial results on professional culture through analysis of interviews with OSPOD employees from two departments and a case study, which is supplemented with two specific interviews with SOPOD employees.

The Borges - Eco Labyrinth

The task of the thesis is to define notion of the labyrinth according to Umberto Eco (mostly in his Notes on the Name of the rose) and J. L. Borges in his short stories. The idea of the labyrinth as the metaphore for the textual universum will be brought up within the wider context in the following chapters. Concept of "the labyrinth" and "the Library" is mainly connected with deconstructive philosophical line and the second part is about their philosophical basis clarification. This section explains the possibilities of reader's moves in the maze: his strategy (Lyotard), way of the movement (Derrida) and potential restrictions (Eco). Another important part of the thesis is the topic reflexion in media - specifically in the film. Interpretation of the selected motion pictures will be aimed at those elements, which are important for the subject of the writing (labyrinth, book, intertextuality…).
