Delivery of audiovisual content on the Internet
Drbohlav, Štěpán ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Svítek, Jakub (referee)
One aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of technological, economic and legal aspects of the distribution of audiovisual content over internet and other IP networks. This thesis will provide introduction to most widely used compression methods of digital audio and video, transmission methods and protocols. Another aim is to create a case study that deals with selecting the best solution for a commercial project of Video On Demand server. This objective is achieved by applying methods of multi-criteria evaluation of options based on theoretical analysis of distribution solutions. The secondary aim is to determine the total cost of ownership of the different options by using the methodology of TCO (Total Cost of ownership). This thesis also provides a comparison with the solution based on purely non-commercial focus.
Motion Intranet content from the view of users
Cimler, Lukáš ; Žid, Norbert (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
Nowadays the sharing of information within the organisation with an emphasis on easy access and a speed of searching becomes more important. For this purpose the organisations use the intranet features. The intranet and its functions, especially from the perspective of users/employees, is what this bachelor thesis treats of. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part concerns especially about an explanation of the basic concepts, a general description of the functions and the intranet planning and its security. The practical part presents the intranets of concrete organizations and major groups of their functions. The goal of this thesis is to show the basic functions of groups with concrete examples from each of the presented intranet. The goal of this thesis is to show the basic groups of functions with concrete examples from each of the presented intranet that demonstrates the user's possibilities of these basic groups of functions and the following summary and description of the common features of all three internal network.

Prepairing graphic data in IS applications - testing of transposition forms of bitmap and vector graphics
Parma, Lukáš ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Horný, Stanislav (referee)
Abstract This work is focused mainly on testing software (further referred to as only SW) for transposition of bitmap and vector graphics. The work is split in two parts. Basic types of graphics, differences between them, usage, advantages and disadvantages are introduced in the theoretical part. The best known formats are described for each type of graphics. Also, fundamentals of transposition between the formats and the different types of graphics are introduced. Similarly, the principle of rasterization and vectorization is introduced. The practical part of the work mainly focuses on vectorization. In total, five programs for bitmap and vector graphics transposition are tested here. Four different types of graphics were defined and chosen for the testing. A way of multi-criteria evaluation was used to compare the SW. The SW is evaluated in two ways. The first one compares the functioning of the SW, the second one focuses on the results of the vectorization process. Used methodology and the choice of evaluation criteria result from a subjective point of view of given problematics. The resume of the work brings detailed results of research along with comments to every evaluated SW.
Graphic filter library implemented in CUDA language
Peroutková, Hedvika ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Sedláček, David (referee)
This thesis deals with the problem of reducing computation time of raster image processing by parallel computing on graphics processing unit. Raster image processing thereby refers to the application of graphic filters, which can be applied in sequence with different settings. This thesis evaluates the suitability of using parallelization on graphic card for raster image adjustments based on multicriterial choice. Filters are implemented for graphics processing unit in CUDA language. Opacity and image merging mode can be set for filters. Various types of filters were implemented like histogram, color, convolution filters and others. Within the frame of this thesis a graphic user interface was developed, which enables filter applying and setting for chosen image, measuring time needed for filter changes and saving final image.
Evaluation of LMS Moodle's functionality for the purpose of supporting the application administrator
