Education students with different motherly language in selected elementary schools in Prague

This diploma tesis describes education students with different motherly language in the Czech Republic. On a theoretical level, it explains more common concepts of migration, as well as concepts related to the education of foreign students. It also introduces the number of foreign students attending Czech primary schools and primary schools in the capital city of Prague. The thesis describes the school legislation concerning education students with different motherly language, financing possibilities of the Czech language courses, and also presents with non-governmental non-profit organizations active in this field. On the practical level, the thesis focuses on different systems of education of students with a different motherly language in three primary schools in the capital city of Prague. The thesis describes how individual schools organize teaching of Czech as a second language, which support measures in the education of students with a different motherly language they provide, what special study materials they use and what extra services they offer to these students. Analytic-syntetic method of reading praktice and incidence of dyslexi a among primary school pupils

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis includes knowledge gained from selected specialized literature dealing mainly with the topic of specific learning disabilities and especially with problems of dyslexia. There are described types of dyslexia, its impact on pupils lives and breathly something about history. It also covers in detail the theme of analytical-synthetic method of initial reading, which is still one of the most used methods of initial reading practice in the Czech republic. The practical part of the thesis consists of a research, which was realized by the method of questionnaire survey. Its purpose was to find out how many pupils with certain levels of dyslexia as a type of specific learning disabilities are in the first to fourth years at elementary schools, where reading is taught by an analytical-synthetic method. Research results found about 6.4% of pupils with varying degrees of dyslexia in the first four years of the research sample of schools, where reading is taught by the analytical- synthetic method. The analytic-synthetic method then emerges as the second best compared to the other two most commonly used methods of initial reading practice. Cooperation with families of roma chisldren from perspective of teachers from region Liberec

This thesis focuses on the relation of a Roma pupil and a school from the point of view of a teacher. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is divided into four subtopics. The first subtopic is dedicated to the Roma in Czech society, their differentiation, the social situation of the Roma, the relation between the majority and the minority, and especially the conflicts between the majority and the minority. The second theme deals with the Roma family, how it looked in the past and what it is today. It also focuses on the education of children by gender and the family's influence on the child's success in school. The third theme deals with the education of the Roma and especially with pre-school, primary and secondary education. The fourth theme describes communication with Roma parents. The second part deals with the research itself. The research method used is a qualitative method and especially a semi- standardized questionnaire. Development of speech and non-speech areas of a child with developmental dysphasia

The bachelor thesis is conducted as a case study of a boy with an expressive type of developmental dysphasia. This study deals with the possibilities of developing the individual speech and non-speech areas of a given boy. The theoretical part is focused on describing the development of children's speech, the theoretical definition of impaired communication ability and the theoretical anchorage of developmental dysphasia from the point of view of etiology, symptomatology and diagnostics. The theoretical part also deals with therapy and development of individual areas of a child with developmental dysphasia. The second part of the thesis is focused on the development of speech and non-speech areas from the practical side. It analyses the available medical reports and presents the results of the input and output guideline evaluations of individual areas of the boy. It also describes the course of development of individual areas of a given boy and presents the used material. The bachelor thesis therefore aims to analyse the speech and non-speech areas of a boy with developmental dysphasia and to describe the possibilities of their development. Czech language in deaf children's lower secondary education

Presented bachelor's thesis is focused on problems of teaching of Czech language to deaf and hard of hearing students on lower secondary education. The first part of the thesis provides general description of hearing impairment, communication options for deaf and hard of hearing people and basic information on educating deaf and hard of hearing pupils. Next part is focused on teaching of Czech language to deaf and hard of hearing pupils containing listing of available materials, description of differences between educating a pupil who prefers Czech language in communication and pupil who prefers Czech Sign Language. It also define language competencies in written speech of deaf and hard of hearing pupils. The goal is to call attention to very small number of universal research works focused on language competencies of deaf and hard of hearing pupils, pinpoint the current deprivation of teaching materials for pupils who prefer Czech language in communication and prepare a suitable worksheet for pupils who prefer Czech languege based on the gain knowledge.
Public awareness about the problems of hearing disablement

The thesis deals with general public's awareness of the issue of hearing impairment. The theoretical part introduces the classification of hearing handicaps; it describes groups of people with hearing disabilities, their means of communication as well as attitudes and prejudice of the public towards such people. It offers an account of how the relationship of the public to the people with hearing impairments changed over time and discusses causes of the prejudice and stereotypes. The thesis similarly presents a number of options for obtaining information on the issue and focuses on the possibilities regarding teaching of sign language. The empirical part investigates the level of public awareness regarding the issue of hearing handicap, whether they are satisfied with the level of understanding, and whether they are interested in receiving information via an educational event in their surrounding or a short informative video providing basic information. Theatre work of people with mental disability

The subject of my task deals with the work of disabled theatre performers with the aim to analyze and describe the entire process of creation of a theatre performance in an amateur assemble. Furthermore, the benefit of the dramatic production for both personal as well as social development of the disabled performers, derived from the theoretical assumptions, was evaluated. The work at first highlights the features and classification of the metal retardation degree and is trying to inform about very special expressive approaches in both therapeutics and pedagogy. Much attention is paid to the drama-related therapies, such as dramatherapy and especially teatrotherapy which will underline the outcome of the whole creation process - a performance. The dramatic production itself, set within the framework of the expressive abovementioned therapies, is influenced by the way of the dramatic education and, therefore, its fundamental principles and methods of its creation are presented as well. Evaluation of prevalence of specific learning difficulties at schools using sfumato reading method

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis contains the knowledge gained by analyzing available literature on history, individual types and diagnostics of specific learning disorders, methods of initial reading and writing, and the impact of specific learning disorders on the personality of the child. The practical part of the thesis is a quantitative research carried out by means of a questionnaire survey for the staff of elementary schools in which the method of Sfumato was applied. The aim of the work is evaluation of prevalence of specific learning difficulties - dyslexia in children from the first to the fourth grade at elementary school, where the Sfumato method was chosen for teaching the initial reading. Within the regions of the Czech Republic, the highest incidence of dyslexia is 11.9% in the Moravian-Silesian Region, whereas Prague has the lowest incidence, 3.4%. The lowest incidence of dyslexia was found in pupils in first years, highest in third years. Cross-sectional learning disabilities (SPU 3) were most frequently diagnosed across all years. The bachelor thesis focuses on the activities of the organization Tichý svět, o. p. s. (The Silent world), mainly on its scope in the field of employment of the deaf. The greatest attention is paid to the service provided social rehabilitation, both in theoretical and in practical level. Research investigation based on the analysis of the documentation presents selected characteristics of clients of the Tichý svět, in the second part, then, through case study approaches the process of providing specific types of services of social rehabilitation and shows on them, how the organization affects the employability of the deaf in the labor market.
Quality of life of people with hearing impaired in adolescence

The thesis deals with the theme of Quality of life of hearing impaired people during adolescence. It is divided into two parts - a theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part consists of three chapters - A person with hearing impairments, Quality of life and Selected factors affecting life of hearing impaired people. In these chapters we consider categorization, classification, etiology of hearing impaired people, and also consequences of hearing impairments. In the next part we deal with the historical view on the quality of life of hearing impaired people, its specification or measurements of the quality of life. In the last chapter of the theoretical part we choose particular factors which affect life of hearing impaired people - communication, upbringing and education, culture, sport, free time. The practical part of the thesis is focused on analysis and evaluation of a questionnaire-based survey in which 41 hearing impaired respondents at the age of 16 - 21 participated. The questionnaire-based survey is aimed at hearing impaired people's attitude to the quality of life - namely education, free time activities, interactions with intact population and doing activities together - including a preferable form of communication with intact people or present satisfaction in their lives....
