Přemysl Pitter's humanism and his contribution to the education of values at the primary school

TITLE: Přemysl Pitter's humanism and his contribution to the education of values at the primary school ABSTRACT: The aim of the thesis is to provide basic information about Přemysl Pitter's ideas, thoughts and activities. The theoretical part depicts mainly historical and biographical events to enable the understanding of the life values of Přemysl Pitter and the main context of his life. The practical part is based on a project that enables 5th grade elementary school students to penetrate into Pitter's life and to understand his life approach and values through their own experiences. We conclude with reflections from the project that students made sense of Přemysl Pitter's values and the historical events connected with his life, as well as Pitter's uniqueness and courage. On their own the pupils put the information together into a book, which is the output of their project. The aim of the thesis and the project has been accomplished. Having Respect for World View Orientation of a Child and His Family in Kindergartens

Diplomová práce se zabývá respektováním světonázorové orientace rodin, jejichž děti navštěvují mateřskou školu, kam si přinášejí své tradice, zvyky a rituály vyplývající z odlišného sociokulturního zázemí i určitého náboženství. Hledá hranice respektu k těmto odlišnostem a uznávané normy v České republice. A zároveň je propojena s interkulturní edukací. V teoretické části přibližuje nejrozšířenější náboženství v České republice a nejpočetnější národnostní menšiny žijící na našem území. Okrajově se zabývá také tzv. sektami. Praktická část je zaměřena na zkoumání a hledání přístupů učitelek mateřských škol k těmto dětem, na vzdělávání pedagogů v otázkách světonázorové orientace a pohled rodičů na tyty otázky. Traditions and rituals in the family and pre-school education as a foundation in value making process of a pre-school child's orientation

This thesis, from the theoretical point of view, is concerned with the role of each generation in the wider, multi-generational family in the present day. The fundamental subject in this study is a preschool child and his/her bond to other family members, who play essential part in the child's upbringing and socialisation (family and its changes, legal status, pro- family political movements, moral education, the role of grandparents, the full meaning of a functional family for a child's healthy development. There is a full description of the research, mapping the way and course of important festivities in the multi-generational families with a different social status, education as well as different educational surroundings in the empirical part of the research. The study examines the role of the oldest generation in handing the traditions and family customs over to the younger generations and the role each member assumes in the realization of the celebration in the multi-generational family living together. Outdoor preschools

My diploma work is concerned with the themes of outdoor preschools and pre-school education. It searches for and is stemming from the similar subjects in foreign countries and within the Czech Republic. It shows what the benefits of children being outside are. It also searches and points out liabilities which are necessery to be taken into account. The work presents the used resources, which can lead to the foundation of the other outdoor preschools and their maintanence. The empirical study is managed as an action research. The first part of the practical section shows experiences of the outdoor preschools in general and it presents interviews with their pedagogues. The second part of the practical section deals with the opinion of experts and the non-professional community. Moving on, one then investigates the ideal level of achievement in separate competences in an ordinary preschool, and outdoor preschools. Further more, the next section is targeted at the expert's expectations and apprehensions about children staying at an outdoor preschool, taking into account their views in relation to outdoor preschools. Focus groups are being used to question the experts. The important part of the work is to analyse the legal enactments in relation to outdoor preschools motherly school.
Education for values of Czech scouts movement

This thesis is mainly concerned with the education from values and education for values of the Scout Movement. The aim of this thesis is searching the answer if the values of today Scouting education are actual values of human life and child's life. The authoress of this thesis deals with the concept of value, the leisure time education, Scouting and education elements of this in the theoretical part. In the interviewing the authoress determined by practical part if the elementary school pupils, who are affected by Scouting are different from their contemporaries in their views and attitudes to basic human values and if they spend leisure time well and enter the lifelong process for human values realisation which was proved to be true.
Problems with school reform in the period of the Czechoslovak first republic, with particular reference to pre-school education

This thesis focuses on the issues of school reform in the Czechoslovak First Republic between the years 1918 and 1938 and turns special attention to pre-school educational reform of that time. It starts with an exploration of the school systems, pedagogical ideas, and education legislation of the 19th century that became relevant to the later period. The thesis pays extra attention to distinguished personalities of the history of education, pre-school education in particular. The main body of the thesis concentrates on discussions over school reform between two radical opinion wings embodied by professors O. Chlup (Brno) and V. Příhoda (Prague), and two proposals on school reform written by J. Uher from the Brno wing, and V. Příhoda from Prague. In this context the thesis further explores the proposals for reform for pre-school level designed by various teachers, mainly I. Jarníková and A. Sússová, and analyses the shift in opinions and practical operations in pre-schools of that period.
Development of the nursery education system in Pardubice in the xx th century

Co ntent of the diploma work is focused on development of the nursery education in the region ardubice in the XXth century. By the help of available primary sources upon which this Work Wu,a . s built, there are captured not only development beginnings of the nursery education systé ^ m> whose roots go down to the year 1870 when first asylum was established, bud also its ancement along the XXth century. Thanks to the primary roots a detailed overview was Created k about growing system of pre-school facilities, about circumstances of their estabijshaning or on the contrary about reasons, why these facilities were discontinued. severa] N.n u rsery schools went during the XXth century, as well the whole society, across 'storical milestones. Through changes went also the view on importance of the nUr$erv §r d institution, which from the primary nursing role of day-long working parents, Ua,IY changed to the institution cooperating with the family, supporting its care. Also p0siť and education of teachers underwent certain changes. Personal qualities of the staff ha*ged f rrom excited, poorly-educated fostresses and nurses into funded and graduated Professionalls. Educational activity passed through development as well, effected during its e*istence by social and political system in our state.
Development of educational institutions focused on pre-school facilities

The work is aimed for historical development of pre-school institutions associated with the development of educational institutions. The work deals with the region of Karlovy Vary mainly and it puts the accent on specificity of national population set-up in the area, especially in the period of the 19lh century and the first half of the 20th century. The German-Czech issue affected the way of formation, functioning also ending of individual types of public scholastic and private educational institutions or organizations of social character for the school and pre-schools children. Institutions for the pre-school children were changing their function. In some periods there were running several types of institutions at the same time which were different not only from the language thought but also from their pedagogicaleducational program. There are distinguished the German Kindergartens running by Frobel and the Czech Kindergartens.
