Principle of the Game in Art Education

The topic of this work is Principle of the Game in Contemporary Art and its use in Art Education. The first part concerns the Art and design in context of other subjects and the curricular documents with the main goals. The work also deals main needs of contemporary society, which should be covered by the Art education. There are presented the inspiration sources for teachers and future teachers in the next part. The sources are: web sites, books and Gallery Education, all of them conected with the topic Principle of the Game in Contemporary Art. Chapters Proměny umění v 2.polovině 20.století and Současní umělci present the new forms of art and their contemporary representatives, who works with the principle of game. At last I uncover the connection between art and a game and present some methods for working with contemporary art at school.

Diploma Thesis Images of Bible (some New Testament's Gospels themes as a thematical resource to art education lessons) deals with possi- bility to didactic use of New Testament narratives and visual-signs system in art education. In larger extent it covers broad issue of interpretation and meaning in visual art in art theory contexts. It introduces function of ico- nography in that realm. From didactics branch side it dwells on empirical spectator and his new meanings generating in interaction with artwork. In research part it investigates New Testament's iconography knowledge of empirical spectator. Also it attends to his ability to read pictorial represen- tations. Practical part of diploma thesis designs and documents a few les- sons, that aspires to motley conception of biblical iconography themes in education. As a supplement of diploma thesis there is an interactive CD- ROM "New testament in visual culture" enclosed, which is a project of educational document introducing New Testament's iconography.

Graduation thesis is formed in three parts. Theoretical, practicalandeducatonal. The theoretical part research after essence, specrficity and history of figurative imaging. The practical part is reflection after author's own paintings, research after its formal and contentual sorces. In the educational part I tried at first to retrace the cosntruction of my lessons conception. With co that I presented my own pedagogical project adherent to theoretical and practical part contents.

The work analyzes the discourses of art history and art education. On the basis of the words that are used, the study investigates into their relationships. The individual layers of the discourses of the two disciplins are studied, as well as their organization and overlaps. The work deals with the intertextuality, the relationship between the text and its context, the issues of the subject and perception. The work refers to the discourse of the school art education and the intertextual analysis of texts of art history.

It attempts to offer the key for sensitive treatment with myths trough comparison of hunters mythological model with tahat of agricultural society. That treatment should be useful not only in institutional education. The thesis emphasizes common fi- Iosophical phenomenons to inspire and stimulate modern man and to appoint their potential in art education.
Multicultural education japanese culture as a theme of Art project

The presented thesis consists of the two parts. First part is sociological and pedagogical view of culture, interculturalism and multiculturalism. The next theme is the progress of Japanese school system and the present attitude of Art Education. The last fundamental theme is the historical summary of elected themes of Japanesse culture. Second part is focused on the art project, which insists on the Japanesse culture.
Teaching Visual Culture Through Semiosis: Transporting Postmodern Paradigms in Ars Education

This research study demonstrates what happens when students and preteachers of art become aware of how they encode and decode visual experience in contemporary society, and how they relate these experiences to artistic practice. The study inquired into how pre-service teachers and high school students of art/education interpret visual culture and contemporary art when it is taught through a process of visual semiosis, involving dialogic inquiry, reflective writing, and art-making. Participants in the study were encouraged to become aware of and reveal their own thinking and learning processes by examining the nature of their perceptions, ideas, attitudes, and beliefs. Participatory Action Research (PAR) was conducted between 2005-2008 during four, semester-long seminars with an internationally mixed group of (15) under/graduate students of art/education at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic and collected from two sessions with (13) Visual Culture students at the University of Western Bohemia, Plzeň, Czech Republic. Sessions included contemporary gallery exhibitions in Prague with critical theory texts, dialogic and written reflections, and art-making activities. Square, Circle, Rectangle.

A sguare, a circle or other geometrie shapes are discovering in the art through the centuries. In many times, these are like the symbols, in the other case, these are like the forms of the picture. Their function are fading into one another often. I try to solve the guestions in this work: how does the function of the square and the circle change in the art how role do the shapes play in myself art's work how do children can work with the geometric shapes at first level of the primary schoul.
