Catastrophe? Events in new connections - inspiration for art creation and art education

This dissertation follows the topic of media and visual communication with relations to art. The theoretical part explains the usage and influence of such medias in the past and present, the communication between people and their visual statements, their psychological effects in connection to the manipulation of the picture. The practial part on the other hand, further explains the precise catastrophical events in the news and their overall effect in connection to personal explenations of said catastrophy. The last, Didaktical part, goes into detail on the transformation of catastrophies and possibility of applicating the medial education into the general creative uprbringing. Time, material and motion in spatial implementation in the confrontation with public space

The bachelor thesis titled 'Time, material and move in space realizations in public space', subtitle: Conception of blind people - provides a description and assessment of possible approach from the lecturer to blind client and the communicating during the process of creating the sculpture. The theoretical part deals with possibilities of the object in public space described by authors approaches. This part is followed a non-complicated classification of the blind people and the description of a methodical activity with them. The following part is a practical part. It is a description of the creating the sculpture with blind student and the process of installing the object to the public space. This experience and the result of this cooperation is the important part of the final project for extracurricural surrounding as described in the last part of this bachelor thesis.
Symbol, sign. Citations and use of work of art as a creative principle

The thesis is dedicated to a postmodern use of symbol and sign. It is based on set definitions of major terms in the fine art and maps the space between a word and a picture as well as impersonal understanding of computer-generated codes. Didactic part enables to work with symbol and sign in art education. An analytical and syntactical thinking, the knowledge of the art history and the ability of intellectual fabrication are the basic ideas of the thesis. Art works, that use multilevel symbol expressions and are formally based on a postmodern thinking, are introduced in a practical part of the thesis.

The thesis contains a table as a specific space, which connotes different meanings in the context of contemporary events. The theoretical part refers thus to the social relations, which are part of both public and private - family space in which a table plays its essential role. Not only as a subject form of everyday life, which is linked to a personal experience, but also as a form of symbolic expression. A table is kind of bearer of communication, message. This will be supported not only via etymological and sociological analysis, but also by the analysis of selected works of art. It is a way to inspect this phenomenon in the aforementioned context. The aim of this study is to show - through fine arts, historical and sociological relations - the view of a table as a continuously interconnected complex, through which it is possible to better realize some family ties and social events, including contemporary needs and priorities.. Felis versus Felix - Symbolic and narative content (of Cat) in Art and Art education

The theme of this diploma thesis is Felis versus Felix - symbolical and narrative content within art and arts education. This thesis is both theoretical and practical study of the topic. Theoretical part is concerned with understanding key words, their meaning, cat itself, its symbolic, history, properties, and connotations connected to it. The author of the thesis maps the occurrence of cat in art and literature, which she supports by specific examples. She further offers using the theme of the thesis in arts education and introduces already existing art set called "Animal within us". The author proposes another possibilities of using the theme within pedagogical practise. Practical part of the thesis stems from results of heuristic preparation. It contains two sets of art works of various but interconnected nature.
Fairy tale as a space for artistic reinterpretation

Fairy tale as a space for an art reinterpretation Bc. Monika Švajková Abstract The thesis introduces authors view on the evolution of fairy tales in Europe and its transformation since 19th century in literature, visual arts and related field of knowledge. Its purpose was to create an art project that would connect cultures of Czech Republic and Finland through fairy tales and fine art. Resulting didactical tasks develop fairy tales of one country through contemporary art of the other. The tasks apply to several conceptions of teaching as the implementation took place at the primary art school, high school and lappish art gallery. The art project closes with authors art etudes that expand theme of the forest as an area for updating of fairy tales and simultaneously captures the authors view on the theme of fairy tales. The outcomes and benefits of the thesis were verification of the didactical tasks that would in contemporary art update the classic children literature in context of these two countries.
