On the limits of inexspressible with C.G. Jung
Ryška Vajdová, Ivana ; Komárek, Stanislav (advisor) ; Pokorný, Vít (referee) ; Daněk, Tomáš (referee)
C. G. Jung (1875-1961) was one of the representatives of Depth psychology of the 20th century. In recent years, more attention has been paid to this direction thanks to Jung, or rather new archival discoveries of his work and his new publications. However, the historical and ideological context of Jung's work still remains relatively unknown. This work aims to map Jung's formative years and early work, which I date from The Zofingia Lectures (1896-1899) to the publication of Psychological Types (1921), in which I try to show how significantly he was influenced by philosophical ideas, especially Immanuel Kant (1724-1804), who, according to Jung himself, had the greatest influence on the analytical psychology he created. Since Kant's work has not become the subject of any of Jung's writings, this text works with passages across collected writings and letters in which Jung refers to Kant, while seeking a more general grasp of the way Kant's philosophical ideas are implemented in psychological theory. We will also touch on other philosophers to whom Jung is directly connected, such as Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646-1716), Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860), Carl Gustav Carus (1789-1869) and Eduard von Hartmann (1842-1906). I try to show that Jung uses already existing philosophical ideas in his...

Fairtrade Coffee Production in Tanzania
Seidlová, Aneta ; Stojanov, Robert (advisor) ; Daněk, Tomáš (referee)
Coffee is one of the most consumed beverages in the world and its consumption is still increasing. The majority of coffee is produced by smallholders from countries of so called "global South". Their livelihoods are influenced by price fluctuations at the world commodity markets. Fairtrade system strives for improving their trade and living conditions. The primary aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the production of coffee on Fairtrade terms in Tanzania. Main research questions focus on the economic and social impacts of Fairtrade on the livelihoods of smallholders, the process of joining the system and meeting Fairtrade standards. Secondary research questions are the perception of climate change, its impacts on the coffee production and the role of Fairtrade in adapting to these changes. The analysis consists of 12 semi-structured interviews conducted with smallholders from Kagera Cooperative Union (KCU) and Karagwe District Cooperative Union (KDCU) from Lake Victoria region. The results show ambiguous positive impacts. On one hand, better availability of education and medical services, but also different profits from social premium in both unions and criticism of one of the main benefits of Fairtrade - the purchase price, which is too low according to most of the respondents. Rehabilitation of the sensuous world from the environmental perspective of David Abram.
Slovák, Ľuboš ; Daněk, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jaroš, Filip (referee)
This thesis is an attempt to reflect on the theme of phenomena and sensuous world in the context of environmentalism. It deals with the condemnation of phenomena in the modern era science and especially in the contemporary neo-Darwinian biology, and with various attempts at rehabilitation of sensory perception as a relevant way of relating to the world in biology (Adolf Portmann, Hans Driesch) and philosophy (phenomenology, particularly Maurice Merleau-Ponty). The main subject of the thesis is the eco- phenomenology of David Abram and a comparison of his approach with the one held by contemporary biology. Based on this comparison it is argued in what manner may the thoughts of David Abram, and the effort to rehabilitate phenomena in general, be of benefit to the environmental discourse, particularly in terms of forming an original epistemology and ontology and concerning the ethical motivations. KEYWORDS: Abram, phenomenon, environmentalism, neo-Darwinism, phenomenology, eco-phenomenology
Fish species microhabitat preferences in small streams
Daněk, Tomáš
FISH SPECIES MICROHABITAT PREFERENCES IN SMALL STREAMS This study assesses microhabitat preferences of selected fish species in the environment of small watercourses. The research was carried out at three localities in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area (the upper and lower part of the Úpoř stream and the Klíčava stream) between 2004 and 2006. Parameters including average water flow, average depth, presence of shelters, width of the watercourse and cover of individual substrate types were monitored in permanent profiles. These sections were then repeatedly electrofished over a course of three years (from April to October of each year). Over 10,000 fish were caught altogether. Relationships between fish species and the environment were analysed at two levels of detail. In all species, preferences towards different 60 m long sections of the watercourse were tested. In small benthic species, namely the common bullhead (Cottus gobio) and the stone loach (Barbatula barbatula), which did not exhibit conspicuous habitat shifts during electrofishing, preferences to three-metre sections of the watercourse were also assessed. Relationships among individual species and between species and their habitats were analysed using both indirect and direct multidimensional linear methods (PCA, RDA) in Canoco...
Hodnocení utuženosti půdy v kolejových řádcích za použití minimalizačních technologií
Daněk, Tomáš
This paper describes and quantifies the differences soil physical properties in rail lines in winter wheat and winter rape. Both crops were grown on adjacent land, which have the same BPEJ. Sampling was conducted once during the growing season and the second time just after the harvest of rape, and just before harvest wheat. In each term sampling, samples were taken at 3 repetitions for each plot. Samples were taken in the track in the space between the rails and the control was between sessions. Both crops are used to process the soil before sowing minimization. The differences are expected to land in one of the same crop, as well as differences between crops. Due to different agrotechnics rape and wheat, where the entrances to rape more mechanization, we expect more consolidation in the tramlines rape.
The Status of Ethic Education in Czech Educational System
Daněk, Tereza ; Janošová, Pavlína (advisor) ; Váňová, Miroslava (referee)
In diploma theses, I focused on the theme of the educational field and the school subject Ethic Education. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the concept of ethic education in a broad context, with the history of ethic education in the Czech Republic, as well as with the polemic about the (non) dispensability of ethic education as an independent teaching subject. The last chapter focuses on an overview of how ethic education is succeeding today along with outlining its next possible development for the future. The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out the opinions of Ethic education teachers on issues related to the concept and curriculum of ethic education in the Czech Republic. Also differences in answers of Czech and Slovak respondents on the same research questions. The research shows that Czech teachers are identified with the current concept of ethic education, its aims, teaching methods, they are pleased by teaching ethic education. Compared to Slovak respondents, Czech teachers responded less critically, consensually. They have shown greater satisfaction with the amount and quality of the methodical materials they have at their disposal.
Millennials and Associated Trends and Changes in the Labour Market
Daněk, Tomáš ; Řepová, Helena (advisor) ; Trachta, Václav (referee)
This thesis deals with the issue of Millennials and their expectations in personal and professional life. It contains a thorough background research of scholarly literature connected with Millennials, approaches towards them, affiliated stereotypes, suitable methods of managing and leading them etc. There are also presented outcomes of two questionnaires that found out that Millennials from the Czech environment are characterized by similar features as are the foreign ones. The research also shows, that the knowledge of Millennials by employers is high when considered the most significant features connected with employment. The lesser knowledge is being held about personal values of the Generation Y. There also exists only partial unity of what are Millennials expecting at work and what is being actually offered. The highest rate of discrepancy was found in reasons for providing sufficient feedback on the performance and in trending forms of development, coaching particularly.
