Tato práce se zabývá problematikou mileniálů a jejich očekáváními v osobním i profesním životě. Obsahuje rozsáhlou rešerši odborných publikací týkajících se mileniálů, přístupu k nim, stereotypů s nimi spojenými, vhodných způsobů řízení, vedení a dalšího. Také zde jsou publikovány výsledky dotazníkových šetření, která zjistila, že mileniálové z českého prostředí se vyznačují podobnými rysy jako mileniálové zahraniční. Dále se ukázalo, že znalost mileniálů zaměstnavateli je vysoká pouze u prvků týkajících se zaměstnání a mileniálové je považují za nejdůležitější. Menší znalosti již mají ohledně životních a osobních hodnot Generace Y. Soulad toho, co Gen Y požaduje v zaměstnání, s tím, co je jim v českém prostředí nabízeno, je rovněž částečná. Největší nesoulad byl zjištěn u důvodů podávání zpětné vazby a moderních forem vzdělávání, jako je koučink. This thesis deals with the issue of Millennials and their expectations in personal and professional life. It contains a thorough background research of scholarly literature connected with Millennials, approaches towards them, affiliated stereotypes, suitable methods of managing and leading them etc. There are also presented outcomes of two questionnaires that found out that Millennials from the Czech environment are characterized by similar features as are the foreign ones. The research also shows, that the knowledge of Millennials by employers is high when considered the most significant features connected with employment. The lesser knowledge is being held about personal values of the Generation Y. There also exists only partial unity of what are Millennials expecting at work and what is being actually offered. The highest rate of discrepancy was found in reasons for providing sufficient feedback on the performance and in trending forms of development, coaching particularly.
