Design and implementation of an ultrasonic sensor for the educational platform
Slabý, Vojtěch ; Bastl, Michal (referee) ; Spáčil, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on a design, fabrication and implementation of an ultrasonic sensor module, which will serve for a distance measurement for an education developer shield based. This sensor should be used as an original module which fits in a requested size format. Now is used a sensor HC-SR04 which exceeds size and voltage needed for a module and uses an adapter, which is not rigid. Bachelor’s thesis is focused on a topic of a existing ultrasound principles and its function for ultrasound distance measurement and calculating necessary values. Thesis includes a list of existing solution for designing a monostatic or a bistatic transdcuers sensors. Our module is compared to those solutions and there is also an overview on a two most used methods for a circuit design which controls a transducer. You can find a designed circuits for creating a prototype PCBs, which heart is a microcontroler PIC16F1769. Programming is handled by a PicKit 3, MPLab X IDE in „C“ language. Communication with a Jobst shield is handled by SPI. Result of this thesis is a design, fabrication and use of two prototype PCBs. First PCB is not tied by a size request and serves for a basic circuit testing and basic distance measurement and the second PCB is in a desired size and serves for distance measurement testing and communication via SPI. These prototypes were fabricated and tested in a way to fulfill set task goals.
Development of database of mechatronic models in Simscape
Al-Dailami, Zaid Abdulqudos Abbas ; Najman, Jan (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
Design and implementation of demonstration model "double inverted pendulum"
Slabý, Vít ; Brablc, Martin (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes the process of rebuilding an experimental model of a single pendulum on a cart into the double pendulum on a cart. The control algorithm in MATLAB/Simulink environment for stabilization of the pendulum in the inverse position is designed. For this purpose, LQR state feedback control was implemented. Also method for swinging the pendulum into inverse position from stable state (swing-up) was designed. Feedforward method was utilised for swing-up control. In the thesis, functionality of these algorithms is shown.
Design of device for voltage monitoring in the electrical network
Ženčár, Pavol ; Chalupa, Jan (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is about development of a device for monitoring and logging RMS value of voltage in main electrical network. Thesis consists of choosing the right electrical components, prototype testing , designing a printed cirquit board (PCB) and making a program code. We can divide the assigment to 3 major tasks , which are measured values data logging on SD card, printing of measured values on web server and transfering measured values through USB port.
Computer vision for mechatronic applications using the OpenCV library
Černil, Martin ; Spáčil, Tomáš (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis introduces a computer vision library OpenCV, which is subsequently implemented into three distinguishably different problems using Python programming language. These three problems are identifying an object and its location, object tracking and difference detection, safe distance qualification using a depth map.
Design of control unit for two-wheeled self-balancing vehicle
Bastl, Michal ; Klimeš, David (referee) ; Chalupa, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is a part of a project of two students. The aim of the project is to design safer electronics for the unstable balancing vehicle HUMMER and implementation of advanced diagnostics and fault detection. In the first part of the project we analysed the original vehicle using the FMEA analyse and created a new concept of the vehicle. The second part of the project describes a new hardware. I designed and tested the power electronics, control unit and supplies. The outputs of the work are prototypes which allow testing a new concept.
Semi-solid alloys testing device
Valíček, Václav ; Bastl, Michal (referee) ; Chalupa, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of semi-sollid alloy testing device. In the beginning, there are briefly introduced possibilities of semi-solid alloy exporation followed by analysis of temperature measurement options, torque measurement options and control of the thermal system. There was build development version of construction and electronics based on results of analysis. The outcomes of this thesis are: design of printed circuit board based on electronics prototype connection, production of mechanical parts for device and realization of user interface in form of touch screen.
Assembling and creating tasks for an interactive robotic head
Szabó, Michal ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the creation of the model of an interactive robotic head. The work itself is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is devoted to an overview of the types of robotic heads, a brief description of the available tools for recognizing objects in the image and tools for recognizing spoken speech in real time. The practical part is focused on the tools used in programming of this model, the electronics used and the resulting model of the robotic head. Finally, there are described programmed functions enabling various ways of the interaction with humans. The work includes function scripts programmed in Python.
Modeling and analysis of laboratory rotational pendulum
Nedvědický, Pavel ; Bastl, Michal (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims at modelling, identification and control of Furuta pendulum. System was described via mathematical equations and simulation model was created in Matlab/Simulink. Parameters of rotary inverted pendulum were estimated using the simulation model. Then the thesis deals with swing up via torque impulse, energy control and PD regulator. In the part dealing with friction five compensation models were created. They include change of friction during rotation and one of them is dynamic model, Reset Integrator. Models were verified by adding them as an input to an actuator and testing them. To stabilize pendulum in inverted position state feedback control with state observer was designed using LQR method. Final regulation included all knowledge obtained during this thesis.
Sensory array for home automation
Bastl, Michal ; Lamberský, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vejlupek, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor thesis Sensory array for home automation describes the design of a simple system for measuring air temperature, relative humidity and light levels in the room. The aim is to design measuring units which will be able to communicate with the parent unit through the RS-485 fieldbus. Parent unit will be designed to allow the transfer of data to PC via the USB bus.
