Possibilities of cognitive development in preschool children
Černá, Klára ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Volf, Petr (referee)
This thesis aims to create an elementary task situation for preschool children, which would allow the development of cognitive functions and facilitate the child's understanding of relationships and connections between objects and phenomena. Task situation also reflects the wider social and cultural context where the process of learning and cognition takes place. Preschool age is a period when shaping the personality of the child and his cognitive apparatus necessary for preparation for school and future life.

The most widely used contraceptional methods for women in age range 17 to 25 years
Michálková, Simona ; Vachková, Eva (advisor) ; Boudyš, Luděk (referee) ; Černá, Klára (referee)
My bachelor work treats of particular kinds of contraception. It enlarges each method, concerns with positive and negative aspects of contraception. This work involves also few information from history of contraception. The focal point is made up by quantitative research that is mainly focused on findings of most widely used contraceptional methods for women aged 17 to 25 years. It also investigates whether chosen method met women expectations and whether this method corresponded with their needs or if they had to interrupt usage of contraception.
The issue of getting pregnant and pregnancy after ectopic pregnancies in relation to the quality of a woman's life
Lívancová, Magdalena ; Vachková, Eva (advisor) ; Černá, Klára (referee) ; Dvořáková, Eva (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with theoretical findings on ectopic pregnancy and the ways of its therapy using some methods of assisted reproduction. The main focus of the disseration is a qualitative research describing and evaluating the quality of women's life after ectopic pregnancies with subsequent inability to conceive naturally. The research showcases the important events and their evolution over time and gives reports on cliffhanging benchmark situations affecting the quality and degree of the women's resistance with recurrent ectopis pregnancies.
Study on protective effect of 3-hydroxybutyrate and its derivatives
Černá, Klára ; Smilek, Jiří (referee) ; Obruča, Stanislav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the study of chemical chaperones, as a preservative enzymes before denaturing processes. In the experimental part of the study we investigated the protective effects of five selected potential protective compounds – derivatives of 3-hydroxybutyrate – two model enzymes: lipase and lysozyme. Protective effects of potential chemical chaperones were investigated by dynamic light scattering (DLS), which was determined by the size distribution of the aggregates lipase produced depending on the temperature at the heat-induced denaturation. Further we have been used differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), which was determined by the temperature of the denaturation of lysozyme in the presence or absence of potentially protective substances. The last parameter was to determine the effect of potentially protective agents at different concentrations on the catalytic activity of lipase and determining the residual lipase activity after application of denaturing two factors – the high temperature and freezing. Of all tested structural analogues of 3-hydroxybutyrate was the highest protective effect observed (stabilization of enzyme molecules) with the succinate, which has two carboxyl groups. Conversely, 1,3-butanediol showed virtually no protective activity, indicating that the presence of carboxyl groups on the protective effect of essential. The low protective efficacy butyrate further indicates that it is essential that an effective protectant in addition to the carboxyl group contained as a further functional group – either carboxyl or hydroxyl. More significant protective effect was observed in 3-hydroxybutyrate than in 2-hydroxybutyrate. Interestingly, the effective protectant while at higher concentrations strongly inhibit the enzyme activity of the model enzyme, which is probably related to the solvation and conformations of the protein in the presence of protectant and the availability of the active site for the substrate.
What type of children do the applicants of foster care desire
ČERNÁ, Klára
This bachelor thesis deals with a substitute care in the Czech Republic. It shows differences between substitute family and educational care. The substitute family care is divided to adoption and foster care. At the forefront of this work is the process of adoption or foster care in practice, when an integral part of it is a role of regional office. The objective of this work is to identify and evaluate details from questionnaires for those who are interested of foster care at regional offices, how tolerant they are and what children they would ideate for their families. The theoretical part describes family and its importance for child developing, it points to problems of psychological deprivation at children, distribution of substitute educational and foster care including the historic definition. It focuses on the description of all forms of alternative cares with a focus on foster care and finally characterizes the mediation system of foster care in the Czech Republic. The practical part deals with data analysis of applicants for foster care, from which comes the thesis title ?What children the applicants for foster care want? at the regional office in Ceske Budejovice for the year 2011.
