Social Themes in Projects of Contemporary Czech Conceptual and Action Art (from the Late 1980s to the present Day)

The dissertation thesis gives a real picture of Czech artistic works from late 1980s to the present day that use the language of Conceptual and Action art for a reflection of current problems in our society. The study is to encompass socially-oriented art or tendencies that want to communicate with the inartistic context and its focus is on the social-political aspect of contemporary art. The first part of the text is focused on basic concepts, moreover, it describes the most important exhibitions, theoretical contexts or considerations associated with the concepts of political or engaged art and it includes a brief reference to examples of older socially oriented art of the 20th century. The thesis strives to give a picture of the main themes through which artists reflect on humanity within a current societal system with its various old or new phenomena. The topics and the particular relevant artworks are described in four main chapters that should reveal the working methods or the development of the artists approach or strategies of artistic groups that have simultaneously reflected changes in the Czech art scene for the past 25 years. Assessing a preschool child's readiness to enter primary school

This thesis focuses on a comprehensive analysis of the issue of assessing the school readiness of preschool children, which is related to the high number of school dropouts in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the thesis describes a wide range of factors influencing school readiness. It focuses on child development in preschool age, diagnostics of school readiness, the function of enrolment in primary school, legislation in force and the issue of school deferment. The empirical part of the thesis is quantitative in nature and was conducted using semi-structured questionnaires. The aim of the research was to compare whether parents' attitudes towards their children's school readiness coincide with teachers' views. The results of the research also show how crucial the influence of the child's family on the granting of a school deferral is or what areas of school readiness are most problematic. Use of Bayesian Networks in Managerial Practice

The main goal of our bachelor thesis is to create a quantitave model which describes real biogas plant (property of company VOD Kadov) and its troubleshooting. Our created model has broad applications. It can be used as a support tool for managerial decision making either for biogas plant's malfunction or for its improvement. Secondly it plays a major role in quantitative clarification of inner links and processes which takes place inside the biogas plant. This quantification is done by Bayesian statistic approach via Bayesian network and its methods. For modeling purposes we exploit (leak) noisy OR-gate model and various methods for variable discretization. We heavily use company's data for model creation. With our model we simulated the run of biogas plant and its possible malfunctions. We also provided an easy step by step guide how to troubleshoot these malfunctions.

Draft of the Model of Auction Process of Buying Commodities

The diploma thesis deals with Business Process Management and changes of business environment which have occurred mainly in last century and caused a formation of new approaches in company management. Further it defines a concept of process, process kinds and operation of process leaded organization including advantages and disadvantages. The thesis also includes Business Process Modelling problematic which has relations to Business Process Management. There are also identified techniques and specific diagrams possible and suitable to use in modelling area. This knowledge is applied in Draft of the Model of Auction Process of Buying Commodities.

Management of logistics processes municipal waste processing

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the logistic processes in the processing of municipal waste in the company Local Enterprise in Hluboká nad Vltavou. Describe the business and analyze its decision-making issues. Then analyze the current situation and propose changes to apply optimization methods through a special computer program. The conclusion of the thesis is a concrete proposal of route optimization to improve the current situation of the company, which will lead to a positive economic effect on logistics of waste processing.

Ergonomics in education

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a proposal for a modernization of the computer classroom at the elementary school with the implementation of ergonomic principles. The theoretical part describes history of ergonomics and includes definition, meaning, goals and the areas of ergonomics. It brings part of the legislation, which deals with ergonomics and school system. It focuses on ergonomics in education with a focus on ergonomics in computer classrooms. It deals with the characteristics of the working environment, the equipment and layout of computer classroom, and is devoted to the types of sitting, health problems related to the work with computer and their prevention. The practical part was based on the synthesis of theoretical knowledge, results of the questionnaire analysis and results of the analysis of the current state of a computer classroom. The conclusion of the thesis consists of the design of the optimal layout of the workstations, a summary of the main parameters, dimensions and features of the elements of a computer classroom.

Optimize inventory warehouse in selected company

The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to calculate the optimal amount of sheet metal to order for inventory in the company ROHDE & SCHWARZ závod Vimperk, s.r.o. in 3VM Metal department. The operational goal is to determine inventory items, the purchase of which causes the largest financial burden. At the same time, these items will serve as the basis for achieving the main goal thanks to ABC analysis. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes in detail the basic concepts of inventory management, inventory classification and the costs arising from purchasing and storage. Furthermore, it describes modern approaches and models used in inventory management. The theoretical background is applied to analysing the current status of warehouse stocks of sheet metal and calculating the optimum amount of storage items, which by virtue of the analysis comprise the greatest cost for the company. The outcome of final thesis is the optimal order quantity of sheet metal which serves the 3VM department at ROHDE & SCHWARZ závod Vimperk, s.r.o. firm, as the basis for reducing the cost of sheet metal.

The use of decision trees in managerial practice

The aim of this thesis is to present the characteristics of decision trees and their use in practice and to describe the solution of decision trees with the use of PrecisionTree software. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part the basic information about decision trees and their software support is described. In the practical part the use of decision trees for managerial decision-making with help of software support is shown on example.
