The Rings
Cendelínová, Kateřina ; Záhora, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The project with the title “The Rings” is a simple card game designed for two players. The theme and content of the game is thematically related to rings, which I have been working on for a long time (also on the material level of jewellery making). The card game can be played by players of any age, but I primarily targeted preschool and school-age children. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to introduce children to the craft of ring making in a fun way. An important element of the visual part of the game is the recognition of the images (illustrations) and their correct composition. This leads to the application of stylized drawings that illustrate selected parts of the ring-making process.
Generative growth
Zelený, Tomáš ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to emphasize the aesthetics of the support and also their functionality when placing objects into grown structures. Those objects seem fragile thanks to their chromaticity, but at the same time they need to be strong enough to hold the mass of diverse objects, such as piece of wood or stone. The aim of this thesis is so the scaffolding has its use in a real world. Scaffolding, that is now existing in the digital world, will pervade into the real world.
Beetle armour
Polášková, Lucie ; Ryška, Pavel (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of an author's accordion book, examining the relationship between textual and pictorial communication of information. The narrative is thematically set in the stylized realm of insects, where it works with the metaphor of the exoskeleton of the beetle as a portable armor, architecture, or outline. The fictional story deals with the life cycle of a beetle. He wonders how beetles are born and how do they leave the world? The aim of my bachelor thesis is the realization of an atypical prototype of an accordion book, which is located on the border of a building kit, a toy and a book. The realization of the prototype will use traditional techniques, including digitization and image post-production.

Apartment building
Jílková, Nikola ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with processing of documentation at the level of the implementation of a construction of an apartment building, which is located in Polička, in the district of Svitavy. The building is situated on a flat parcel in the housing estate Hegerova. The apartment building has a partial basement with four floors. There are 14 dwelling units in the building. On the first floor, there is one accessible flat with entrance from a separate garage stand with a layout of 2+kitchenette, one flat with a layout of 3+kitchenette, common areas of the house, such as a bicycle room and cleaning room. On the second floor, there are two flats with a layout of 2+kitchenette with balcony and two flats with a layout of 1+kitchenette designed. There is the same housing layout on the third and fourth floor. There are cubicles for each flat, utility room and common carriage house in the partial basement. Parking for residents is designed to be on the parcel in front of the building. The building is designed in a two-way masonry construction system. There is a communication space that includes stairs and an elevator located in the middle of the building. Basement perimeter walls are made of waterproof concrete and the rest is lined with ceramic blocks. The part of the building with the basement underneath is based on a so-called „water tank“. Non-basement part is based on a strip foundation and finished with a flat green roof. Ceilings and staircase are made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The building is insulated with a contact thermal insulation system ETICS.
Piece of cake
Gračka, Martin ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
For this series of paintings, I chose scenes from the computer game Duke Nukem 3D. I try to imitate the graphics of computer games of the early 90's. I'm not talking about thorough repainting of pixels, consistent copying of screenshots, but about capturing the atmosphere of the game using painting gestures and abbreviations - converting pixel graphics into the medium of painting. The viewer sees the images through the eyes of the protagonist, thus getting into his role. In my work, I am mainly interested in aesthetic enjoyment and the game between painting and graphics. Then about evoking sentiment that affects a narrower group of people.
FPS
Konečný, Dominik ; Kudělka, Vladimír (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
This text documents the creation of a prototype of core systems in a digital FPS (first person shooter) game. There are two goals. One is to fulfill all the requirements of the genre and to follow up on its history. The second one is to try and find new approaches to individual elements from the design perspective, but also their connections and controls. The elements themselves are movement (walking, running, jumping etc) and combat (shooting, aiming, enemies and their capabilities and intelligence). Also the work is about finding ways how to transmit information through immersive user interface, mainly virtual hands and items. Throughout the work I focus on the elements one at a time. First I shortly describe what they are and their purpuse, then a bit about their history and in the end I describe my approach.
Apartment building
Vaněk, Vojtěch ; Nespěšný, Ondřej (referee) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is to design and develop design documentation for a new apartment building with almost zero energy consumption in construction. The apartment house is located in the Krasice district in Prostějov. Krasice is a quiet area with surrounding buildings with dominant apartment buildings and a larger area with row houses for families. The building has four floors and partial basement. There are a total of six dwelling units on the upper floors and separate garages for each apartment on the first floor. The building has a primary staircase around the elevator. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from brick blocks "THERM" with an external thermal insulation system. All horizontal load-bearing structures and vertical basement walls are made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The building foundations consist of cast-in-place smooth concrete strips.
