TITLE: Development of singing skills of 1st grade pupils at elementary school AUTHOR: PaedDr. Dana Martinková DEPARTMENT: Department of musical education SUPERVISOR: Doc. ABSTRACT: Work deals with possibilities of the development first year pupils' singing skills at elementary school on the basis of applying motivation elements of singing activities and the development of the pupil's interest in singing activity during the first year at elementary school. After sketching of the development of opinions on a younger pupils' singing education the author characterizes younger pupil's specialities, deals with a human voice including the development of the child's voice. After defining essential musical terms and a characterization of singing skills deals with a motivation and its applying in a school and in a musical educational process. On the basis of the suggested educational model the largest part of work is devoted to a methodology and a research organization and first of all an evaluation and a presentation of results given questionnaires for pupils' parents, interviews with pupils, tests of musicology and singing skills, found out their voice volume and evaluation of pupils' taking part in singing and other musical activities. Creating of goals in kindergartens from the point of view of long-permed, mid-permed and short-permed horizont of planning

It belongs to important duties of a chief to determine priorities and aims and to evaluate needs properly. It is useful to specify goals and to group them in long - termed and operative ones, which can help us to create the plan of systematic development of the school. Prior to defining of the goal in a certain area the identification of influences, i.e. opportunities, threats from outside and weaknesses of the school is important, it means the area where future goals how to solve the needs can originate. My work characterizes this process trying to describe, explain and approximate proceedings on practical examples. An integral part is also evaluation of the research which illustrates orientation in key areas of management in kindergartens and basic schools/kindergartens combined establishments. My work as a whole can be used as a basis for creating more complex material of studies.

Subject departments and their leadership

The final bachelor work contents the analysis of the subject department's activity at the elementary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The work studies competences and roles of the subject department's leadership. Leaders of these teams are members of the school management. The top management can delegate leadership competences to these teachers. The research part analyses the subject department during realisation and planning of school curriculum at elementary and secondary schools. The research describes the methodical help for directors schools, their deputies and the leaders of subject teams which is possible to use during the directorial work. It also simplifies the systematical control, evalution and selfevalution of pedagogical stuff in their subject teams.

Tonal and harmonic sensibilities as a basis for creative expression in music education

The publication goes into a creative development of tonal and harmonic sensations in the music education al elementary schools. In the introduction, the tonal harmonic relations are taken from a theoretical point of view and in the sphere of musical psychology, there is included the tonal and harmonic sensation into the system of musical abilities. A concept of tonality is defined and its relation to the abilities in view determined. Then there follows an evolution of tonal and harmonic sensations in tests of musical abilities and a diagnostic methods presentation. A child's musical ontogenesis oriented on an evolution of the examined abilities and an influence of home and school backgrounds are depicted in a chapter concerning the personality of a pupil. In the context of the creativity and integration, there are also described pedagogical aspects of the examined abilities development. The theoretical section is concluded by a methodical part that is after the stating of basic principles of the tonal and harmonic sensations development elaborated into systematic algorithms within the scope of different classes.
