Constitution for Europe
Feichtinger, Jiří ; Jirásková, Věra (advisor) ; Tomášek, Michal (referee) ; Klíma, Karel (referee)
of Content and Conclusions of Dissertation Constitution for Europe JUDr. Jiří Feichtinger The central subject-matter of the dissertation is the assessment of the Treaty establishing the Constitution for Europe ("constitutional treaty") and the co called founding treaties, i.e. the Treaty on European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union ("founding treaties") from the viewpoint of the constitutional law and the general theory of state. From the same viewpoints I also examine the nature of the European Union itself. When choosing this topic of my dissertation I was inspired by ever growing discussions on the extent of the European integration and its purpose, whether it is at all necessary, and whether the European Union is becoming a state or rather remains an international organization sui generis. I am trying to answer, to what extent the content of the constitutional treaty corresponded to its name and whether this document could at all be called a constitution; the same question is being answered with regards to the founding treaties. I further examine, whether the constitutional and/or the founding treaties lead to the united Europe as perceived not only within the notion of the European integration, but also by the general theory of state, i.e. whether these treaties...
Customizable Linked Data Browser
Klíma, Karel ; Nečaský, Martin (advisor) ; Klímek, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to identify key requirements for exploring Linked Data and design and implement a web application which serves as a Linked Data browser, including search and customization features. In comparison to existing approaches it will enable users to provide templates which define a visual style for presentation of particular types of Linked Data resources. Alternatively, the application can provide other means of altering the presentation of data or the appearance of the application. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Evaluation of the properties of NiTi instruments in current endodontics
Bumbálek, Michal ; Klíma, Karel (advisor) ; Németh, Tibor (referee) ; Barényi, Igor (referee)
Introduction: One of the key prerequisites of high-quality endodontic treatment is the use of endodontic NiTi instruments for the preparation of root canals. The purpose of this dissertation is to evaluate the effect of individual factors which influence the life of endodontic instruments during the clinical treatment of root canals. The dissertation will evaluate the effect the curvature of the canals, the shape of the tip of the instrument, the speed and type of rotation, and the influence of sterilization. The effect of low-temperature plasma nitriding on the fatigue life of the instruments will also be investigated. Materials and methods: Several endodontic systems used for the machine preparation of root canals were studied. The study focused predominantly on the cyclic fatigue of rotary endodontic instruments, wherein the files were rotated in artificial curved root canals. Additionally, the influence of sterilization on the life of the instruments was also examined. Finally, the instruments were treated using thermal plasma nitridation for the purpose of improving their properties. The instruments were then analyzed using a scanning electron microscope and a microhardness meter. Results: Testing cyclic fatigue in artificial root canals with radii R3 and R5 revealed that instruments with a...
New bone production and regeneration using stem cells
Klíma, Karel ; Foltán, René (advisor) ; Bulik, Oliver (referee) ; Németh, Tibor (referee)
Introduction: A lack of bone mass poses limits on treatment in maxillofacial surgery, orthopaedics and traumatology. This post-gradual research aimed to confirm the hypothesis that inorganic or organic non-cellular bone matrix could act as a carrier for autologous stem cells able to differentiate into osteoblasts as well as to verify whether we could accelerate regeneration of the augmentation and the healing process, resulting in improving the bone quality. Materials and methods: Regenerative properties of the bone were explored using bone marrow stem cells with hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate in a rat bone defect and spinal fusion model. A simple spinal fusion model was induced in a rat capable of easy reproduction, with the least possible mortality and morbidity. After the 8-week experiment, the rodents were euthanized. All samples were analyzed using micro-CT and histomorphometry. Results: The research on a rat bone defect showed that stem cells with hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate led to a significantly higher bone regeneration. It was proved that a higher concentration of stem cells caused a bigger body mass increase. The research on a spinal fusion model demonstrated that stem cells reduced inflammation and improved bone quality but did not significantly accelerate bone...

Protection of domain names
Klíma, Karel ; Horáček, Vít (advisor) ; Eichlerová, Kateřina (referee)
Protection of domain names The aim of this work is to place domain names in the legal system, to try their legal classification, explore ways they can be compromised, and to analyze the possibilities of their protection. Particular attention is paid to the international management of domain names and legal grounds of the issue. Given that the topic of protection of domain names is relatively little explored, particular primary sources of relevant information will be subject to review, ie international standards and laws, as well as technical articles and case law. Resources will be handled mainly by descriptive and analytical research method, sometimes complemented by a historical method. The first part defines the basic concepts largely of a technical nature relating to the internet and domain names whose knowledge is essential to understand the issue and its legal assessment. The second part defines the term and the concept of domains and domain names and their permissible forms, and also presents a typology of Top Level Domains. The third part deals with international and national management of domains and domain names. It presents the most important authorities in the field of domain names, key institutions and organizations, the circumstances of their foundation, and international and national...

The full text of a legal act represents a consolidated text of the act, that is derived from the original version by applying changes contained in amendments to the law. The aim of this work is to design and implement an application for efficient and correct extraction and interpretation of text of legislation acts contained in the Collection of Laws of the Czech Republic and for automatic generating of full text of laws based on the original version of the legal act and its amendments. Secondary objectives include creating a database of all publications of the Collection and legal acts, procedures for finding dependencies between legal acts and their amendments and procedures for automatic downloading and indexing of newly issued publications of the Collection.
