Design of Passenger Car Steering Wheel
Pleskal, Miroslav ; John, David (referee) ; Sládek, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a modern steering wheel. The main objective is to explore new technologies and trends and adapt the final design to them. Many technological innovations and design trends were analyzed, with steer-by-wire technology proving to be the most significant. The design was therefore conceived with the idea of using it. After exploring many shapes, an ideal shape was chosen that would fit well with future use, while being user-friendly and intuitive for all users. Three variants of the steering wheel were created according to the types of cars, namely a mid-range variant, a luxury variant and a sports variant.
Formula 1 Cars Evolution
Studeník, Juraj ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is engaged in description of progress, research, manufacturing and testing components for F1 racing cars. These improvements causes technological progress which support driver´s safety and increases speed limits continually. Thanks to this F1 races are more and more balanced and attractive for viewers.
Electronic system for Formula Student monopost
Sanetrik, Štefan ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Bohrn, Marek (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on design of steering wheel and clutch controller module for Formula Student car, The first part of this thesis is focused on communication protocol CAN and continues with explanation of reasons for development of this solution. Requirements for individual components of system are introduced in next part. At the end of the thesis the final electrical and hardware design is introduced as well as software design. The last part of this thesis is focused on simulation of system in race condition and evaluation of results.
Furmula One Cars
Zbožínek, Adam ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This work shows basic rules and conditions for construction and use of cars formula 1. The main part of this work focus on the aerodynamics which is the most important discipline of this motosport. My work also deal with basic factors concerning the car´s motor, wheels, new technologies KERS and the design of the fancy roller.
Multiple-funktion steering wheel Formule Student
Paulus, Luboš ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
The Master‘s thesis deals with a creating of display writers on multiple-function steering wheel Formule Student. It is mainly about dates transfered through RS232 or CAN bus from control unit of the Formule to microcontroller. First of all it is necessary to find out, which informations and a which way of displaying them are more useful and readable for drivers. This leads to another point - right choice of display writers, which will be used on the steering wheel. Creation of the design and construction of display device follows.
McRuer Models for Human-Machine Systems
Čelko, Jakub ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Mihálik, Ondrej (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on modelling of the human-machine systems using McRuer models, particularly systems formed by human operator and a steering wheel. The aim of the work is to design and measure the responses of the human operator in the regulation of different types of systems and different system forcing functions. Different steering wheel stiffness was also measured to find its influence on the speed and quality of the regulation. Results of this work are mathematical descriptions of the operator for the individual scenarios. The descriptions are expressed as transfer functions, with the operator being considered as linear time-invariant system.
McRuer Models for Human-Machine Systems
Čelko, J. ; Mihálik, O.
This article is focused on modeling human-machine systems using McRuer models, particularly systems formed by human operator and a steering wheel. Result of the work are dynamical models of human operator corresponding to regulation of different systems and various system forcing functions. Different steering wheel stiffness was also measured to find its influence on the speed of human reactions.
